Devashola

We were in need of a homestay which would allow us to cook for my son who is 1.5 years old and we found this stay. Since we are pure vegetarians, we saw this stay as the prime point as it doesn't allow non-veg and also drinks. Initially we thought the food that will be prepared would be a little spicy or whatever it is which will not be fit for the kid. But when we had the first meal we were sure that we are not supposed to prepare a separate food for the kid as it was as good as a home made food and opt for the kid too. Overall it was great and we enjoyed being there in the stay for 2 days. We didn't travel anywhere - we had a few indoor games which kept us occupied for 40% of our time and the remaining time we spent with the kid playing and roaming around the stay.

Great place to um-wind and relax, away from the crowded tourist place. The drive to the place is lovely. The cottages are cozy with stunning views all around. Naveen and other staff are very helpful and responsive, took us for a trip around the beautiful tea estate as well. Food is simple homemade, and delicious. Loved having the morning and evening tea amid-st such scenic beauty. We walked around the tea estate, a small trek/hike was also possible. Would definitely recommend anyone who loves to have a peaceful relaxed time close to nature.

I have been travel-ling to places for more than 15 years now. I have wanted to visit this place since a couple years but it didn't happen. At last, i visited this place on the 5th of july. One of the best stays i have ever had. Beautiful location, the caretaker is a very nice person, the checkin process is smooth, and the food is very good. We loved everything about this property. Highly recommend.

I had booked this stay for 5 people and reached the place to witness an amazing view right in front of the home stay … the place was covered with clouds and the climate was amazing.. we got 3 rooms and it’s spacious and hygienic.. This place serves only veg food .. and it was decent.. The campfire was an add on to the weather.. we had a wonderful experience staying at Devashola Homestay 🩵

Beautiful peaceful location in the lap of nature. Guest house is surrounded by greenery all around. In the morning the views of the valley and clouds glancing over the mountains is sight to relish. Well maintained garden and clean rooms. Morning walk of the tea estate is very nice. What could be better? evening snacks options can be improved, more parking space and camp fire.

In the middle of 650acres of tea estate, this place is nothing less than heaven. Especially before 6am and after 4pm. Ull be above the clouds! frequent visits from wild squirrils. Indian gaur. They even have wild gooseberries around. Dont waste your time reading. Just book for whatever price they are asking. Its worth every penny

An exceptional view and amazing staff made this trip to mango tree cottage at devashola a trip to remember for a lifetime. The solitude and quietness of the property was exactly the getaway we hoped for, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the home cooked food provided at the stay. Will definitely return!

The place is amid-st tea plantation and very scenic. Homemade food. Great hospitality. Better reach before 6pm. A camp fire was available but due to excellent weather, we couldn't light the fire.

If you want to disconnect from the loud crowd and enjoy the hill side, this is your go to cottage. They have excellent care takers and amazing home style south indian food. Manager naveen and care taker ravi anna are the best.

The location is perfect for a weekend getaway. Beautiful stay with amazing caretakers. Food was top notch and all amenities were great loved the stay

I stayed with family for 3 nights at madwa. The property is heaven for nature lovers as you would wake up with bird chirping. Cottage was very spacious amid-st tea estate with all basic amenities. Ravi and family cooked homely meals for us. Do not expect a luxury stay here but you’ll be staying above the clouds here.

The view from Mango cottage is breathtaking. Though pls keep in mind that this place is extreme secluded and there is no one at the night time. The caretakers go to their homes and comes in d morning g only. As per the manager, security guards are available but still… apart from that food is good & you can relax at utmost

It was like living in paradise at devashola. It's far from the city but worth staying by all means. Excellent support by the homestay stuff, delicious food served and best of scenic beauty. Kids will love it! i wish i could have stayed there for few more days.

We stayed for a day. The ambience was good and the morning tea estate walk was refreshing. Good food and the host was humble. Must visit again.
