While this resort is an absolute paradise for adults and couples seeking tranquility and relaxation, i must admit that it falls a bit short when it comes to catering to families with kids. First and foremost, let me begin with the positives. The hilt-on shillim estate retreat is a truly stunning property. Nestled amid-st the serene hills of lonavala, the resort exudes an aura of tranquility and natural beauty. The lush green surroundings, well-maintained gardens, and the spa facilities are nothing short of spectacular. The hospitality extended by the staff is warm and welcoming, making you feel like a valued guest throughout your stay. However, as a parent traveling with children, i noticed a few areas where hilt-on shillim could improve to make the stay more family-friendly. Lack of kids-friendly menu: one of the key concerns was the limited options for children at the restaurant. The restaurant staff seemed more accustomed to catering to adult preferences, which left us with few choices for our little ones. Having a dedicated kids' menu or more child-friendly options would have greatly enhanced our dining experience. Service speed: although the service was impeccable in terms of politeness and attentiveness, it was comparatively slow, which can be a bit challenging when you have restless kids in tow. A quicker turnaround time for orders, especially those for children, would be appreciated. Missing kids' play area: the absence of a designated kids' play area was a significant drawback. While the resort is a paradise for adults, it lacks recreational spaces or activities that can keep kids engaged. Having a play area would go a long way in making hilt-on shillim more family-friendly. Our room was a perfect blend of comfort and elegance, offering breathtaking views and top-notch amenities. We appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the room's design and amenities. *the dharna wellness facility: a highlight of our stay was the resort's wellness facility, dharna. This is an absolute must-try for any guest. The range of treatments and therapies offered were not only rejuvenating but also personalized to our needs. The skilled staff and serene environment contributed to an unparalleled experience of relaxation and rejuvenation. *dining: the culinary experiences at the resort were a delight. Each meal was a gourmet journey, with a wide variety of choices catering to all tastes. The quality of the food and the impeccable service made dining a true pleasure. *service: the staff at serenity resort were exceptional. Their warmth and professionalism made us feel at home. Every request was met with a smile, and their attention to detail ensured our stay was comfortable and memorable. *overall experience: we didn't feel the need to leave the property, as everything we desired was right at our fingertips. Shillim resort is more than just a place to stay; it's a destination in itself, offering a perfect blend of relaxation, luxury, and natural beauty.

We have been to hilt-on shillim many times but it's our recent experiments with boutique resorts with great views but subpar service and processes that have made us appreciate hilt-on shillim even more. Maintaining 300 acres of a property that feels exactly like staying in a forest but offers you the comfort of a luxury accommodation, just a phone call away, is not easy. And yet, this resort manages precisely that, with lots of activities and good food thrown in. Yes, it's pricey and the food is expensive too but when we compared the rates to resorts like machan, oleander farms; this is actually better value for money because it's just slightly more expensive than these resorts but superlatively better in terms of service, planning of the resort and comforts offered. The drive too is very picturesque. It has one of the best views of the sahyadri mountains and its adjoining forests and the silence all across the resort is truly healing. I would highly recommend this over all other boutique resorts in the area.

Took the forest category villa with an amazing view of the ghats (the weather was excellent with rains and clouds making it worth the money. The silence is welcoming as the villas are not clustered together and spaced out well. The only small issue is that the property being big and built on the mountain, you need to call for the Dharana at Shillim A Luxury Wellness Retreat cars to take you around and that is a 10-15 min wait each time you need a car. The food at terrazzo is the best. Mountain bar was average. Did not try the green leaf as the menu was limited and specialist. The tea room with the local sourced and brewed tea at the tea ceremony along with the wellness talk and shanti aarti is worth a visit. The highlight was the spa, spread out across the spa is huge and the massueses are well trained. The steam and shower area for men was a bit chaotic (which needs to be sorted out. The views from the property are amazing.

Wonderful stay at the hilt-on shillim. We visited with my husband’s brother and soil to celebrate their baby moon and the property was perfect venue to provide them a calming and relaxing experience. The view is enthralling and we spent our nights with lights off and curtains undrawn to soak in the nature and wake up with the chirping of many birds. Food is ok, nothing noteworthy except the mountain bar. We were attended by wonderful staff - suraj at mountain bar, suyog/ganesh from housekeeping, ashish from the forest trail/activities desk, and the many skilled nana drivers who ensured full comfort given we were travel-ling with expectant mother. If something left us reeling, it was the high unskilled and incompetent front desk staff - i can list down multiple events wherein they made us question our visit. Leaving that aside, no regrets and definitely a place to go back to

If you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from the city this is the place. - among-st the nature on the mountains is a perfect getaway. Quite and serene. - amazing staff, very courteous. I never heard a no. Only yes this can be done. - rooms are very clean and designed to fit the needs. - food is awesome. The chef and the team beyond to provide you the taste you are looking for. Though the kitchen is far from the rooms but still the food arrives in max 20-30 minutes. The breakfast venue is again super good. Staff here makes things so so much better. - special mention for amey, suyog, baburao for making our stay so so comfortable. We even went ahead and extended the stay. I am coming here again with my team for an offsite. To explore what i couldn’t do with my family like the adventure trek to the lake and shillim peak.

We started from mumbai. Till lonavala it was all fine but after that we had great difficulty searching for the property. Google maps did not play it's accurate role. I think hilt-on should have signages on the roads cos as we pass through village and jungle one wrong turn could take away easily 1 hour of your time. Roads are bad at a particular stretch. Hilt-on should take initiative of road maintenance, the way am-by valley does it. Food is excellent but overly priced. Breakfast spread is superb ambience, environment, nature incomparable. Checkin should be around 11 cos people come from far away and would like to spend maximum time. Unless when there are no rooms available it can be 1 or 2. Once you rich the property my rating is 4. 5

We stayed in a dharana villa which gives a spacious villa feel with large outdoor spaces such as a patio and outdoor shower. The resort offers activities such as nature treks, bird watching, yoga etc. There is also an organic farm with a horse named wally. My daughter enjoyed feeding the horse and taking a small ride. You can also cycle around the property which otherwise is difficult to cover completely on foot. The restaurants offer good choice of food but i would recommend a lunch at mountain bar if you like italian. The staff is very courteous and ensures you have a good experience at the resort. Special thanks to onkar who helped us with the house- keeping / room service even at odd hours given we were travel-ling with an infant.

Very well maintained and serviced property. Villas and pools were well kept. Food was good but could have been better at the italian restaurant. The internal communication and coordination were inadequate and ankit dimri, front office manager did not revert to us even after reminders over two days. Missed an activity center at the club eg billiards, tt.

We visited the hilt-on shilim estate for our 15th wedding anniversary! the property is amazing - lots of trees and greenery around. They have planted a lot of plants along the paved path but at the same time conserved a lot of the original forest around. All the structures built are so unobtrusive. The views from any of the restaurants are breathtaking. And the food was delicious. The staff was very courteous and warm. Though they have put up messages in the villa that you may lock yourself out in the garden, we ended up doing exactly that ) but got help instantly from the staff. It was a beautiful experience overall.

The food was spectacular. Each dish was carefully made with love. The cocktail at the mountain bar were also super tasty. The quantity were great and were value for money.

Huge property in the middle of the western ghats. Amazing views!

You have everything you need here, make your reservations a day prior. Just take that break you've been thinking off.

The property is surreal and located in the best area of Lonavala. Amazing staff and Beautiful property with lavish breakfast spread and mouth watering cuisine. Cannot recommend it enough. Will definitely visit again in Monsoons. Words cannot justify how amazing the place is. The rooms, the pool, the view- everything 7 star.
