Domas Inn

The setting of the Domas Inn itself is very nice, overlooking the Mussoorie range. The decor and painting is done in Tibetan style and brightly coloured. I stayed here with my family for three days. The room was brightly painted and clean. The WiFi worked, unlike in many places I have stayed. The staff is friendly and efficient. Food orders once placed were executed in time. They take around 15 to 20 minutes, since the food is freshly made. I would recommend the chinese fare, served hot. The momo's were unappealing to us, because though they are steamed in a Bamboo steamer, we were unaccustomed to the bamboo odor seeping into the food. The Thupka's are filling and mildly spiced. For the breakfast we ordered omelette bread and aloo paranthas with coffee. The omelette bread is as good as you would find in any Parsi / Irani joint in Mumbai. The paranthas served with Amul butter and pickle must not be missed. There is something about hot paranthas with pickle on a cold winter morning, wash it down with hot coffee overlooking the Himalayas and I quickly thanked God for his bounty bestowed. For us, the added attraction for staying at Doma's was Ruskin Bond who stays next door.

I travel a lot and have stayed in all kinds of Domas Inns- luxury and budget. My stay in Domas Inn was completely different. I was already in love with the Domas Inn as soon as I entered my room. The room was so cute and colourful. I have never seen such a welcoming accommodation ever. I was travelling alone, but felt completely safe in this Domas Inn. Apart from that, the staff was extremely polite and helpful. They also booked a cab for me to Dehradun. When I was leaving, they gave "Khata", a Buddhist scarf, for my safe and happy travelling. I was really touched by that gesture. The food was also delicious. I had spring rolls, vegetable sandwich, momos, tea and coffee there. Everything was mouthwatering. I would like to rate Domas Inn 100 on 100. My stay in this Domas Inn was a major highlight on this trip. I have already recommended Domas Inn to my friends and they are very much excited to stay there :)

I booked Doma's for a two nights getaway. It surpassed all expectations. My room was beautiful, colourful, very cozy, comfortable and had all the right things; soap, toilet paper, electric jug, tv, water/glasses and a comfy warm bed. The staff were very accommodating, and spoke good English and helped with any detail necessary. The food here was excellent too, their speciality being Tibetan food. The included breakfast was delicious, and large with quite a few choices (including parathas and pancakes). Location is excellent if you want to stay out of the busy side of Mussoorie. It's ten minutes walk from Landauer's heady Himalayan Pine forest, and a few small shops (Chaar Dukaan) that have good food too. If you want to go to the main part of Mussoorie (mall area), it's a 20 minute walk downhill. Highly recommend.

The location of the Domas Inn is far away from main Mall Road and is to be walked up only as their is no public transport system nor the sharing cab facility. The cab charges are very much exorbitant and it being monopolized by Taxi union only when it is absolutely essential the tourists are advised to utilize it. This will have adverse effect on tourism industry which needs to be taken care of by the Uttarakhand government. The service at the Domas Inn was very good and food served was also nice. However the room didn't appear to be deluxe one and NO BREAKFAST as mentioned in Domas Inn booking voucher was given. The Domas Inn management also did not reduce from the Bill paid for eating lunch, snacks, etc. It's good experience of Tibetan culture.

I am mesmerized by Doma's Inn. It'll always be in my good books. Beautiful & cozy ambience. It is one of those places where you sit down and read or write or just contemplate. Very safe to stay, for solo travelers. Cordial staff. The food is amazing. Authentic, pocket friendly, filling. It is surrounded by lush greenery and benches outside the Domas Inn are a perfect place to sit and chat. Few of the rooms have an attached personal closed lounge, which is my favorite part. Enjoy the subtle warmth and dreamy lighting at night sitting here. Definitely going back in near future.

At the price that they charge I think this place offers value for money. The food is excellent and so is the staff. Yes, the Inn is at a Crossroad and therefore can get a little noisy but other than that I have no complaints. It’s a small little cozy place with warm staff! At this price you can’t expect 5-star services and amenities so please give them a break! I would recommend this place for a short stay any-day to anyone. Obviously not to the snooty, oh I want everything to be perfect types! Good job Domas Inn and keep it up!

Note that this Domas Inn is located in Landour, not Mussoorie. Service staff is a bunch of young boys, who are clueless about the needs of kids or families. Food and other service is super slow. Rooms 4 & 5 are dingy with low ceiling. Room 5 smells. The Domas Inn does share a wall with Ruskin Bond's home, but you may not get to meet him. Depends on whether he is interested at all. Climb to the Domas Inn is steep and taxis charge 200+ from Mussoorie mall road. Hotel is pretty and clean. Staff is courteous and smiling.

Not for a moment did we feel that we were staying at a Domas Inn. Such homely atmosphere. You guys rock. A special thanks to both the cooks. Trust me the food was heavenly. This is a place where you will want to just stay put and tuck in instead of going out somewhere. Keep it up folks and you will be legends. Thanks a lot once again.

Excellent location, valley veiw are awesome, staff is very good and cooperative and very good in room service, rooms are very neat and clean with all facilities. Overall excellent stay with value for money.

Only location was bit far from bus station else everything was OK. Breakfast was too good. Service and staff were too kind and helpful. All together it was a peaceful and wonderful stay at Domas Inn. Looking forward to visit again

Our stay was awesome in domas inn. Staff was cooperative. Food was awesome. Go there who want to taste different food. Chinese food and fastfood was too delious and mind bowling. Hotel was located near char dukan and Lalo tippa .. Overall it was just awesome

After a long flight from LA to Delhi, we went to Doma's Inn In Musoorie to escape Delhi's heat and smog. We immediately felt at home! Tashi was very welcoming and the accommodation was perfect. We were able to really relax, integrate, and regroup before continuing with out journey. Perfect!

It is not in Mussoorie, but it is very near to Mussoorie. This is nice place to stay with different theme interior. These rooms are nice and very spacious. Colors of room are very good. Ambience of this place is awesome. Whole property is having good interior. This place is worthy. Its value for money if you like different places then, this is the right place where you should be. It is in Landour before Mussoorie.

WiFi is awesome. Only complain is that at night WiFi stopped working. Anyways. The guys are awesome and caring. Weather rain and clouds added to the romance. Walk to Lalo Tibba and you will really get lost in the charm of nature.

Room was spacious and exotic with strange Buddhist type architecture .. Facilities were not that much considering the concept it was worth enduring .. It was one of the time experience with all the tall oak trees surrounding the hill.

I felt that the the ceiling was a bit low for my height. 5 ft 7 inches.

Room's are quite good, interior of the room make you feel that you are staying some where in Tibet, WiFi is nice, big washroom, food is tasty, valley view from room, staff is very polite, awesome exterior of the Domas Inn
