Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps)

Initially we found it difficult to contact the property, however after contacting makemytrip, the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) staff themselves called us to know our check in time and other details. The staffs were cooperative enough to arrange for a pick up as the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) is located in the famous gal-is of benaras. Also they communicated well with my parents and gave clear instructions to reach a place from where help was given. I booked saptarshi suites for my parents after looking at the beautiful balcony view. Indeed the room was very beautiful and the balcony view was great. The Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) staff were courteous and helped my parents with ganga snan, shiv-ling darshan, allahabad brahman when approached. Mr. Abhijit, the manager and kamlesh another very humble staff helped my parents throughout. The food and breakfast was over the top. They had a good portioning sense, sufficient for healthy eating by two people. Lunch and dinner was tasty enough. Areas of improvement 1. Since the property is built on an old building, regular repair work is required to get rid of damp. (the work was going on when my parents visited) 2. The washroom needs to be cleaned regularly because damp insects from the drain have a tendency to come up. Other than these two points, the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) is a great option for a wonderful stay in benares

Ok. We had a wonderful stay at dwivedi Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps)s! staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Rooms are comfortable to stay in and you can ask for heaters if it’s very cold. We went during peak winters and they made it very comfortable for us. Lovely view of ganga from our balcony. Do consider coming in by boat upto the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) and climbing the steps. Other option is walking around 10 min from main road to the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) thru narrow lanes.

Stayed for 3 nights. They changed our original room saptarshi, on the ground floor to a room in 2nd floor. The iron stair was very scary and difficult to climb. Both me and my wife are seventy plus and you can imagine the plight. After our protest they changed the room next day. Staff behaviour was the only consolation. Food was very oily and spicy. View of gang-es from saptarshi was superb.

Good Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps), excellent view of ghats from the room, very friendly staff and wide array of food options. Food is inf-act tasty. The reason for a 4 review is because of the location and need for long walk to the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps). But i would recommend the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) for anyone who want to stay in kashi

Best in-budget Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) to stay if you want to stay near the dashashvamedh ghat. The only problem is that you have to walk 10 mins from the main road ( near satnam jwellers) and hence no parking. But the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) management gracefully agreed to send some one to carry the luggages.

It was a pleasant stay and we loved the location and comfort staying at the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps). Recommend to everyone

500-600 metres away from main road and the road to reach Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) is by lanes only from main road. So you have to walk for 500-600 metres. Other than that ganges flow by the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps). Nice food. Courteous staff and everything. Excellent by me

Atmosphere at the room beside the ghat was awesome. Liked the room though small. Very nice people. Maja aa gaya. Great stay. Only one problem faced approach road is not their. We had to go through galli. Enjoyed. Thanks

View of ganges from the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) is very nice. Behavior of the staff is also very good. But the Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) is far from main road and only way towards Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) is only walking through dirty path

If you want to experience real kashi, this is a great Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) to consider. Excellent staff and excellent restaurant in premise.

Excellent river view ekant suite room on the gang-es @ ranamahal ghat. Very humble, helpful and cooperative staff always with a smile on their face. Would love to visit and stay here again in near future

Great location near the ganges the approach from the main road is poor you can shop for banaras sarees at a bargain at the nearby shops food is good overall a very good Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) with supportive staff

The Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps) is perfectly located, bang in the river ganges. Stunning views from the rooms and a few balconies attached. Cook is excellent. Staff behaviour is excellent. Wifi is poor. 500 yrs old heritage property which is unique.
