Ela Ecoland Nature Retreat

I'm a bit old-school. When i come on a trip, i'm out to bask in nature, take leisurely strolls, enjoy short conversations with locals and sample the local food. Ella e co turned out to be a great pick by my wife. 1. The place is thoughtfully built amid-st the forest area with minimal change to the area. It gave us the feel of the classic 'cabin in the woods. 2. The price is at par for any tourist accomodation. 3. Excellent walking areas in either side of the property along the road. The natives give a friendly nod as we pass and some make small talk. 4. The food options are limited, but it has the complete feel of home-made and is simple and sumptuous. 5. Mr gopi (the person managing the place) is very warm, responsive, showed us around nearby plantations, suggested good places to go by walk.

Ella ecol-and was one of the most wonderful places i've stayed in recent memory. It is a short drive away from munnar town in the midst of the jungle, making it a very quiet and peaceful stay. The atmosphere is amazing, with a set of well-furnished and luxurious rooms in the middle of the verdant keralan jungle, and a small natural pool/waterfall close to all the rooms. In addition to the environment, the staff are also great, very polite, helpful, and accommodating. The food that they provide (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) is delicious and relatively affordable: i never had any reason to eat anywhere else. Highly recommend if you plan on visiting munnar

It's a wonderful place for nature lovers. But one should be fit enough to reach any of the rooms, as it has high steps and quite a distance to reach those rooms and restaurant. The way to reach the resort is a very narrow road and little scary. Whivh they need to work definitely. Otherwise the stay was pleasant and good stay. The hospitality was really appreciable. The staff was very helpful. Of course, the food, served was delicious and fresh with limited options. At a reasonable price. Overall a mini jungle experience.

Exciting moments are sounds of birds and there is side river with sound and morning 6am more birds sounds it’s hear to nice and morning breakfast was good in taste but at night dinner some items only available from menu but taste was good there is a person came to pick from reception to (room service) very good. Fans are not working we had problem i was informed to reception they repaired immediately totally it was one who love to live with nature it is very good place

Located on hillside. Very scenic view for the guests. Rocks, water stream, big trees, cardamom plantation, tree house, step pathway to rooms, lights along the pathway. We stayed in the riverview room. 2 rooms shared a common sit out space. Room and toilet were neat and spacious. Hot water available throughout day and night. Tv not available. Wifi and kettle available. Restaurant was on the top of the hill. Room service was also available. Tasty food.

I have to say must about the location, the landscape was amazing. Room that we booked is also have high standards. Staffs are very friendly like they knew you before. Food was also good. It was an amazing stay. Recommended!

Treehouse is at a good height. There is a running stream below and it’s calming sound is awesome. Only negative point is that there was no room heater and the room was not properly insulated. It got very very cold at night.

Good ambiance. Nice supportive staff. Forest vibe. Water stream. Food is ok. Nice view. Good location.

We checked in and enjoyed the river floating nearby food is also good and has parking for cars

The place is excellent and their service is even better, all the staff are very nice, i liked this place very much.

Stay was good. They have access to stream from their resort which is added advantage. Rooms view was good. Climbing for food each time was little difficult

One of the best property we stayed. Natural, green and that waterfall in the property, just wow. Stayed in tree house which was the tallest in munnar and the view from it was beautiful. To add on good was delicious.
