Ela Ecoland Nature Retreat

So I went to this place with my fiancee and we were very excited to witness the tree house experience. So before reaching we had booked for a luxury tent house assuming that it would be a bigger tree house as it mentioned luxury. On arrival we were welcomed by these 2 fine gentlemen and were assisted with our luggage, and after all the formalities we were escorted to our room but on reaching we found a cozy-looking tent house but on the concern was it was on based on the ground not on a tree. I explained the same to the person there he after understanding my concern and confusion upgraded me to the tree house with a minimal charge but trust me it was worth it. It was located right in front of the river and waterfall and I was amazed to see all that you find in a Ela Ecoland Nature Retreat room I got on tree house. They also gave us a mobile just in case we need any assistance as the reception is far from the room. After resting and chilling a little we proceeded towards dinner thinking they would have made a basic preparation as the place is located in a absolute insulation but it's safe but I was thrilled so look at the dinner they had made at least 5 to 7 dishes only for us and to let you know we were the only guest they had the food quality and quantity was amazing and what taste and following no one would expect a ice-cream with a brownie as a dessert served in a jungle. Hats off to these both people who gave us a memorable and splendid experience. Unni was a great host. Loved the service, hospitality and warmth. I would highly recommend to people to make a stopover and make their vacation a memorable one. Love and regards, Vivek and Neha.

It is more than perfect and the place is any nature lover's paradise. But I must add and mention that it was actually the hospitality and care and compassion of the staff members there that actually made my vacation a perfect retreat in paradise. The food served is typical home made Kerala cuisine which is just more than delicious the fact that they serve it with so much love and care. They take care of all your needs. Since network is an issue they gave us a Bsnl mobile to call them or call anywhere and were quite phenomenal in helping us execute our itinerary. I mean I have no words for humanitarian attitude coupled with homely care I received from jobish, roy mt, sathya and chef who cooked delicious meals for us. Every nook and corner of Ela is so much full of nature that whether you take tree house or rock house it's just just just mesmerising. You wake up to the calls of myriad birds right from cockatoo to canary, your mornings are awash with Misty hills and beautiful fountain. You are served and taken care of like a princess. What else is a perfect nature retreat. Me and my friend Kavitha owe a very very big thanks to Ela ecoland especially all their staffs for making our much needed vacation such a memory imprinted on the sands of times. Thanks sathya, roy, jaibis, our chef, our autodriver. Thanks Ela. We are gonna come back again.

Location is hard to find, and there is no network coverage to call the host. Only BSNL is supported. You will be lost if you are new to Munnar and no locals is around you to guide the place. We stayed in a tree top house and it was really good experience. The staffs were courteous. Dinner was nice. No nearby attractions, you have to travel at least 15 kms to get to any nearby attractions. The place is nature friendly. If you are looking to explore Munnar then this place is not suitable. If you want to do a jungle stay then go for it. As far as price is concerned it's bit overpriced, you could better place than this in Munnar for this price range. I paid 4.5 k for one night stay.No shops nearby. No TV and that's what you should expect for a jungle stay. No liquor served.

Location of the property is the best. Kallar river flows inside the property and you can always hear the sound of the flowing river and as well the whispering of the birds. If you want to stay away from the pollution, vehicle noises and other disturbances you can book this property without any second thoughts. Food provided as complementary is also awesome. It will be small buffet kind for both dinner and breakfast. You will surely enjoy it, the staff are also very professional and well behave

Ela Ecoland is a nice place for nature lovers. It's very close to the town but at Ela, it's like a jungle like feel. If you are going to Ela using public transportation facility, from Adimali get Mankulam bus (via Kallar) and ask for Kallar Valley. There is an 'Anganawadi' and it is the land mark. If you didn't find Mankulam bus, there are number of bus operating to Munnar via Kallar, step down at Kallar (Thazhe Kallar, Govt. School) and get an auto to Ela (it's just 2 km from Kallar).

We found this to be the seculded in nature with a forest surrounding the resort, river flows next to the resort which is accessible easily, the cardamom plantation is amazing with many naturally occurring coffee trees, pepper and others too. Benjamin, our host, knew so much about culture, history, and other interesting facts. He gave us the tour of the cardamom plantation which was so amazing. Food was delicious, authentic home-cooked cuisines. It was perfect getaway trip for us

Out from normal busy world. Good ambiance and location. Road to the Ela Ecoland Nature Retreat is worst. All staffs are good and helpful.

The Ela Ecoland Nature resort is very beautiful and good facility is available there. The staffs are very good.

Need to install camera, need to deploy armed security in the resort. Over all resort lacks secured place feel.

Stream of water. Birds sounds, scenic trees. Let Miss ourselves in Nature from noisy City.

There is no pool, gym or any more features. It's a calm place. If u wish to spent a night at forest, this cud be one of the best

Superb experience. If you want to experience jungle feel then go for it. Tree house is recommended.
Not a single point to dislike it. Very good resort. Jungle experience.

We really liked the whole experience.
Wifi connectivity was poor. Food quality and variety has scope to improve. Wash basin didn't have hot water. Blanket needed clean sheet underneath. The staff was very cooperative and provided full support.

Rooms are very good with feel of nature. The river sounds excellent which you make you feel live in the forest. Rooms are clean and food is delicious and very good hospitality. We fully enjoyed all the activities

I enjoyed my stay here. Food they serve is really good. Location and view from the room is good. Staff is really helpful. Tree house has a better view. Not recommended for people travelling with kids but fir couples and people looking for peace this is the place. Value for your money

Beautiful place, friendly staff, loved the stay. The food was really tasty, they offer wide variety in the buffet. The staff is very friendly, they arranged for our transport also. The view from our room was mesmerising.
