Elephant Route Resort

The Elephant Route Resort is located at a very good location, which is walkable distance from the Periyar tiger reserve entry bus point, elephant ride and bath facilities, traditional dance show centre. The rooms are spacious, neat and tidy. Service was good, I didn't like the food from their restaurant in terms of quality and quantity both. there are several eateries available nearby, so it was not a concern. An ordinary water glass broken by my child was charged for 100/-. it doesn't matter, I didn't ask for any weaver but it pinched a bit that, when u pay around per night during off season, these small issues could have been taken care off by the front desk. I call these "chicken heart" 😃. moreover the front desk need to be well aware about the timings and procedures of the tiger reserve, as they have wrongly guided me and I missed my planned trip there. Had to visit on a later timing. Overall a good stay as far as the Elephant Route Resort is concerned.

First of all, except for the fact that the so called Resort is just closer to the Elephant camp, Road approach is not good. It doesn't seem like a Resort. No swimming pool, no spa. As good as a Elephant Route Resort. The room was clean and good. Needs to be improved a lot. Food we didn't try as we stayed for a night and left for our next destination early as we hardly had anything to do there. Intermittent power cuts, might be due to some renovation work at the Elephant Route Resort was little disturbing. Front desk people are less knowledgeable regarding the surrounding tourist attractions. Overall. Nothing felt like a Resort. A good Elephant Route Resort room.

Elephant route resort is at the best location as it is next to elephant camp where all tourist come for rides, kalaripayattu and kathakali shows. We, the family of three, stayed here during christmas weekend at 5k cost (bf included. Hotel rooms are spacious (especially the corner ones) and chic clean. They have ample parking space, friendly staff and food is great. Although not a widespread buffet but enough for a reasonable appetite. We tried food at nearby places also but quality here seems to be better. They also have adjoining jain, marwari style veg food restaurant that attracts many visitors.

Traditional look.. Clean and good supporting staff.. Good balcony view. Yummy coffee.. Near to town.. Easy to reach.. Near to elephant safari... Excellent... Awesome... Beautiful and memorable experience... Good staff... Hot water facility.. Good canal view at the centre of Elephant Route Resort... Nice paintings... Good place for children to play. Elephant view... Elephant hair is a sign of wisdom.. It is available there... Best Elephant Route Resort... Supporting staff... Awesome balcony view... Nice construction...

Service is very fast. Check-in took less than 2 minutes. Food is very delicious. Staff’s behaviour is very courteous. Rooms are very clean, spacious and well maintained. It was really very peaceful and relaxing in the room. Enough space for car parking. Another good thing about this resort is that one can get elephant safari, jeep safari, Kathakali dance shows just outside the Elephant Route Resort. If ever I come to Thekkady again, I will prefer to stay in this Elephant Route Resort only. Great Service.

This property is nice. Its not a 4 star property as it is still in developing phase But not sure how MMT has given it 4 star rating as of tdy. In a year if developed properly it will one of the best ones as it is near to Periyar Ticket collection center, one can enjoy evening shows and have elephant ride in Kathkali Centre which just outside the Elephant Route Resort. Very good stay break fast is good hygiene is good locality is very good

The stay was really nice! Parking space was good, room was maintained well. Staff was polite, food was only average, for hot water you have to call reception every time to get if they improve food and 24 hrs hot water facility it will be the best Elephant Route Resort to stay!

It was pleasant stay in elephant root!! They greeted us with warm watermelon drink and overall staff was cooperative with us... No mess was created plus kathakali center was walking distance it was pleasant nice warm and homely atmosphere...

The location of the Elephant Route Resort is just beside the elephant camp, and the views from the balcony is pretty good. We've got a great deal from MMT, 2000 per night for deluxe AC rooms for 3 people. The staff were nice and friendly with us. The food was great. The only thing is that our room didn't have a geyser otherwise the bathroom was fantastic. And Wi-Fi is bit weaker in the rooms. But I would strongly recommend this resort to everyone.

We had a stopover for 1 night, excellent dinner and room stay. Hot water in bathroom was fixed with some delay and follow-up, rest all was a pleasant experience.

It was a good experience. Size of room was awasome. Location of Elephant Route Resort was very near to adventures activities. However, there is a lot of scope in improving tastes of food. Services are good but may be more prompt.

Very good rooms, lobby and also a north indian restaurant run by them. Manager and staff are very helpful l and nice. Break fast served is also good. One main attraction is that the resort is having a good parking space.

Elephant ride and kathakkali, magic show are close to the location

Hotel is located near to the tourist locations of Elephant camp, Cultural program centre and Ticket booking office to Periyar lake and boating. Only buffet food is available which is little bit costly.

I booked for 2 nights in august. Big rooms ... Good service. Opposite to attractions such as elephant ride martial arts show magic show etc. Food was great ... Breakfast was OK ... Overall good value for money ... Recommend to book with dinner
