Elephant Valley Eco Farm is a serene and peaceful property surrounded by nature. The staff is well-behaved and supportive. The food is fresh and tasty, but a bit expensive. The location is a bit far from the city, and the road to reach the property is not in good condition. The property is ideal for nature lovers, and there are trekking options available. The rooms are unique and antique-style, but maintenance needs improvement. The property is perfect for a getaway from city life and to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Beautiful hotel
Aishwarya Chhetri
As the name suggests, this beautiful farm resort, stays true to its nature. Seated in the scenic elephant valley, this Eco-farm resort is away from the hustle bustle of the main city of Kodai, which is approximately about 20-35 mins ahead (by car). It is spread across a sprawling 150 acres of land with majority of it, dedicated to its coffee plantation, and a fairly flourishing organic farm. With limited cottages, which I believe was the intention of the owner, the resort gives you the much needed break from city life. Few people ( no network), more trees, a variety of species flowers that grow wildly and effortlessly, and its many livestock - lends the place its charming quirk. The cottages were clean and very thoughtfully built for sustainability. Not to say, their rustic decor and beautiful patio views overlooking the creek and valley, made the mornings and sun-downers picture-perfect. When there, you must try their German lemon and Sugar pancakes. Coffee lovers have something new to taste, with their freshly ground coffee. Bird watchers will also love this place ( apparently about 140 species of birds, including migrates, have been spotted in the valley). The manager and staff are a friendly and pleasant bunch and were kind enough to give us the tour of the entire estate. You can also volunteer with their organic farming courses. Must try near-by places the trek to Misty Waterfalls and the awesome Caroselle. Cheese factory at Skamba estate. A word of caution the roads leading to the resort, off the main road, can be a bit tricky, so travel with an experienced driver and really good tyres. All said, if you are a nature lover, this is one place you must not miss.
Great place to unwind and live in peace
RAMASUBRAMANIAN N V
The Elephant Valley Eco farm is located away From Kodaikanal Town, and hence you can enjoy the quietness of the Hills, forest and the small rivulet flowing within the property. My family and I had a great stay at this place for a couple of nights, and we came out very happy with our choice of place. It was the first experience of trekking for my 3 year old son who got a lot of chance to run Around, climb up and down the hilly or rocky terrain. The hosts took good care of us, despite being fully booked. Each room is unique and the interiors take you back a few decades or even centuries in their architecture. Best part was that despite it being fully booked during the good Friday Weekend, it never felt crowded. Only few downsides the last 6-7 Km Road is a steep descent and is not of good quality especially if it rains. Food doesn't typically get served to your rooms, unless it is raining heavily or some other exceptional reasons. This can be a challenge if your room is not near the dining hall and you have people who can't walk the distance. May not be very convenient for families, but the staff do their best to make your stay comfortable.
Good place to stay and nice rooms
Archit Agrawal
The location is brilliant, the property is spread across 100 acres with coffee & pepper plantations. Rooms are spread across the property with privacy in the forest.Rooms are simple, clean and basic. Like what an eco lodge generally has. There is no service to the rooms though. Not too many activities to do here apart from small treks to the waterfall or sit by the stream. This place is more to just relax in nature and soak in some. The food is not upto the mark and the buffet spreads are very basic like 2-3 dishes per meal. For the pricing the food doesn't do justice and the kitchen service is very slow. The rooms for the price should increase all meals, as do similar properties. They definitely need to work on the food selection and service. The place seems to extremely understaffed as well. The place is easy to navigate to, unlike some reviews which mentioned it is extremely difficult to locate. A good place to unwind, nestled in the lower valley of Kodaikanal.
Amazing location but below average services
Babita Keshri
We stayed in Kerala rooms. Excellent place to chill out with an amazing view and rooms with ancient decor adding to the charm of the place. No option for food other than to have it in the resort itself. They charged us 500 per plate for a buffet with dal, rice, chicken biryani and paneer masala. No room service. Rooms without electric kettle. You get 2 bottles of water per room and will have to buy rest bottles (if you are lucky and they have stock available). Even morning tea was charged. You get hot water only till 9: 30 am. Check-in time is 1pm and check-out is 10 am, I am not kidding. The services were just pathetic.
Review about the Elephant Valley hotel stay for couple
prasath s
Hotel is too good to stay. But location is too far. Can't access from the road easily. Food is good. No need to worry about safety. I have booked adventure type room. My stay was near the river Valley. Awesome stay fully satisfied. Cons: Location of the Elephant Valley 15 Kms from Kodai is too far from Kodaikanal. It is too far to access to the nearby main Road. Should not expect the climate as same like Kodaikanal. Here it's bit hot.
Nice stay
Prateek Goyal
It was a nice stay at elephant valley; however, one day is enough for visit. Walk trekking or horse trekking to waterfall is very interesting. Rooms are good and in peaceful area i.e., fare distance between two cottages. You can live a day in pure natural settings. Food was excellent specially the lunch and breakfast, but dinner was not as expected. You should visit there for one day if you are not afraid of animals.
Super!
Sreeram Ramesh
Excellent place to spend a weekend Super location. Rather quite remote. Thats the beauty. Extremely worth your money. 130acres of pure paradise Offered trekking. Have a waterfall in the farm. Was unlucky enough to miss out on tree house experience as it was pre booked. Super duper food. All farm fresh Super manager too, unfortunately missed his name. Sure to visit again an again. Keep up the good work!
Excellent place

The resort is magnificent if you are a nature lover and the food is something I would go back for it's totally organic and Worth it! Hotel staff are very cooperative and make your stay pleasant. Only thing to watch out for is getting there when we went bridge had broken and we had to take a detour which was scary with family Around just talk to them and make sure that is all good.

Peaceful & relaxed holiday

We had a wonderful time at Elephant Valley Resort. Service was great and employees were very helpful. We went for a trek and spent our time watching birds and relaxing. Chef asked us for our preference and prepared customised meal for us. Overall a nice place to enjoy our stay at this place. Would recommend this place for others.
Looking forward to return with family again

Serene, tranquil, cool, calm nature at your door steps. Forget the facilities and services, not interested in negative comments. I was there wholly with the wild nature. That is my idea of the vacation.
Value for money

First the good ones : Location very nice. Rooms amidst lush greenery / organic farm. Trekking available. Food is fresh and good. Improvisations needed : More signboards needed from Perumalmalai to the resort. Road from Perumalmalai to the resort 6 km is the worst I've seen in my life (though it has nothing to do with the Resort management). Restaurant - room service not available.
Nature friendly stay
Nishanth R
If you are a nature lover and want to stay in a place where the sight sound and feel of nature is there, then this is a very good place. There is a very good waterfalls inside the forest which is walk able from the cottage. They said there are chances of seeing elephants and bison... But nothing was found.
great

Stay was just OK.. Room was not as per pics shown in MMT app. One of the cottage is very small and not given the better one. Very less option in food. Scenery was good but cottage was not maintained too well. Overall, stay was just good there.

The place is a gem in the jungle. Breakfast and the hospitality is really good.
Leave the world behind.
Kratish Tiwari
The resorts if full of flora and fauna. The views are breathtaking. very minimal services so plan and go it's very secluded from the main city so ensure you carry all necessities. Don't expect fancy rooms or services.
Absolutely in the lap of nature

It was absolutely amazing experience stay in Elephant Valley. Food was Amazing. Staffs are very humble and supportive. One should go here to be lost from all modern living and be in the lap of nature. The theme of this property is nature.
The property as a whole and room was totally eco-friendly and feels like in the nature.
Very nice place but weird location
Venkatesh Babu Nagarajan
Very nice place but need to go in groups to enjoy well. Road to the location is a bit weird and there are no Elephant Valley 15 Kms from Kodais around which makes us to eat in the resorts restaurant which is a bit costlier. They need to add more facilities like swimming pool, play courts etc. So that the guests can spend some time as no much places to go around.
