Forest Hills at Tala is a beautiful property located amidst nature. Guests loved the stunning views from the rooms and the sunset point. The staff was polite, courteous and always ready to help. The private pools were a hit among guests. However, some guests felt that the property was overpriced and the food quality could have been better. The common pool was small and located far from most of the rooms. Overall, it's a great place to relax and unwind in the lap of nature.

Pleasant experience

Away from hustle and bustle in the arms of nature, forest hills is one of the beautiful properties I have been to. All the room types are lovely and designed uniquely with a thought. The location Hermitage room is beautiful. I specifically want to appreciate the entire staff of forest hills. Right from the reception person to the cab drivers and housekeeping staff, everybody makes sure that their customers have a delightful experience. I had booked Hermitage zenia property for one night and tree hugger for another night. Hermitage was excellent though it looks a bit different than its pictures on the site. Hermitage room type shows pool right in front of the bed and also shows a bathtub, however it is only available in the marigold type of Hermitage room. However zenia was also equally beautiful. Tree hugger is a nice cosy room type which gives you the feel of houses in Canada or UK. Its outside sitting is beautiful. Talking about the hospitality and service of forest hills staff, I wish to mention that we had an issue with air conditioning in tree hugger. I informed this to their receptionist, and she made sure we would have pleasant stay at other properties which were vacant. She gave us a property tour and we had an option of moving back to Hermitage zenia or tree hopper or mud house. We chose the tree hopper since we wanted to explore other type. Their campsite is the most beautiful spot. The overall setup is pleasant and soothing. The food variety and quality are very good. The restaurant staff is also very courteous. I highly recommend this place. Note: 2 night stay would be better than a single night stay to explore the property.
Rejuvenating and Paisa Wasoool holiday

What do I say about this property. It was one of the best experiences I ever had. What a beautiful location! What a view! And on top of it we got a very good deal from MakeMyTrip. My stay was at Camel Cabin. Best apartments to stay in are Wood Pecker and Camel Cabin. Do not miss viewing the sunset from its sunset point. The time when I reached the resort, I saw that my car was punctured. Without even me asking for help, Sameer (One of the resort staff) helped me in fixing the puncture. Ronak at the reception was quite courteous to speak. Jagtap at the restaurant was always met with a smiling face. But there were few glitches like services for everything took just little more time than expected. Rooms needed deep cleaning so that even some places that we saw webs should have been cleaned properly. But apart from this the entire experience of staying in the lap of nature was mesmerizing. One of the best places to visit near Mumbai for a good 2 nights or 3 nights of break. All in all it was a rejuvenating, relaxing, peaceful, and paisa wasool holiday!
Amazing property. A place to rejuvenate and relax
Aksha Shah
The property is amazing and is quiet secluded from the hustle and bustle of the city. A perfect weekend getaway to rejuvenate and relax yourself. Here you can soak all fresh air. We were staying in mud hut. Beautiful basic yet aesthetic villa; the only draw back was the bedding, the pillows were one of those granny rock solid pillow which gives you headache after getting up. The mattress was also hard. I think it’s unfair on the part of the property to charge its guest 10k a night and not provide them the comfort of proper bedding. Apart from poor bedding, rest the property was quaint and beautiful, all villas have their own privacy and it’s something i would recommend someone who is looking for a getaway near mumbai. But i’d like to suggest the Forest Hills at Tala to amp up their bedding to match the price they charge their guests so they can have utmost comfort and make the best of their stay
Relaxing stay

It one of our comfortable peaceful stay. Property is huge and we'll maintained. Staff are really prompt and always ready to help l. They guide us till our room which was nearly 1km from the reception there was a staff waiting near our room who took our bag and guide us to words our room. Our room was clean and had a great view of vally. There are many thing we explored in the property we went for a sunset point which was breathing taking, then there was a pet farm where people are really friendly they helped us to feed the animals and let us pet the animal. Then we explored the restaurant which also had a beautiful view. Food was kind of ok not much to say about. Then we had a swin in the swimming pool which is just near the restaurant. View is one of the best part of this property and there staff.
Short stay in couple with friends

We stayed for 2 nights over the Weekend with couple friends. The location is fantastic and amazingly beautiful, specially the sunset point view is out of the world. The different villas are built in different themes at different levels on the mountain and most of them have very good views from the balcony. The food is OK types and have scope for improvement. There could be bigger and better spa experience that can be created given the spacious and breathtaking scenic location of the place. The clubhouse for recreations is yet to be built. However, it's great for a short stay and once the property is built complete with all amenities it will become a good place for even Long stays. Staff is good and courteous. Overall we had awesome experience! Must visit!
Nice break from the city

I came to stay at Forest Hills for a quick break from Mumbai life and I enjoyed my experience. The rates I got on MMT were excellent and the pictures online did justice to the rooms in-person. I stayed in the luxury tent and it was spacious and clean. I love how huge the bathroom and the patio was! You can't beat the view from the patio. I would come back in a group and stay in one of the larger villas. You must visit the Kuda caves while you're there too. The food was just okay but I didn't come to expect gourmet meals just came for a break so didn't mind that it was mediocre. The kitchen staff does their best to make sure you are pleased. Special mention to Sana who took care of me made sure I was having a good time. The staff will not disappoint!
Good Stay

I stayed in Camel cabin. Room was neat, clean and spacious. The Forest Hills at Tala staff and management are the usp due to their cordial and considerate services. All the staff are equally good and warm in their duties. Worth giving full marks for the staff. The management is generous enough to not charge for any extra cup of tea or biscuits if you ask for from the restaurant. In fact the chef and other restaurant staff were so considerate that they offered to make dal Khichdi (which wasn't there in their existing buffet menu) for my 20 month kid. So overall experience was very good. Just that they can improve the road way to the resort if possible and improve upon the aesthetics in the common area like walkway, stairs, pool side etc.
Serene - absolutely bliss for nature lovers
Ankit Dharamshi
Location is fab its smell & feels so good to open eyes amid peaceful and serene views of mountains and sky. Hotel needs to improve its spread in buffet or ensure rates are in line with what they offer. In tent they to need provide phone for room service, since rooms are far from restaurant and reception its necessary to have agile communication modes in property for eaze of reaching out. Property needs to keep vehicles available near all room points so that customers don't have to drive there vehicle for moving around property. Staff is very friendly though but considering property area it impossible for them to move across all place in short time, hence having more vehicles will make life easy for both customers and staff.
Excellent place on top of hills surrounded by forest

Overall a good place to visit, quite unique location. As it was a weekday, it was not at all crowded, but then u have to ask for every amenities, if they are operational or not. Lots of things were of the menue as it was not crowded. This is not expected. We should get to choose from all the designated menue even if we are the only ones on the property. Otherwise, taste, cleanliness, location, hospitality was spot on.

Forest Hills, an excellent destination to relax
Avantika Kumar
The first thing that impressed us was that it was super pet friendly. Our pet dog immediately felt at home. Inspite of the hilly terrain our 1.5 year old baby was very comfortable as well. The food was super yummy, cooked well and always fresh. Also most of the raw materials are from their farm itself which is a bonus. Our child enjoyed their animal petting zone as well as the activities which included horse riding. The staff is friendly which definitely adds so much to your stay experience. As for ambience of the resort, I would give them 10/10 on all counts. We felt completely rejuvenated at Forest Hills. The only downside to all this was their spa which has a lot of scope for improvement.
Tranquil, serene and luxurious

Its only good for people who wants to enjoy unique stay or nature. Not for those looking for 5 star Forest Hills at Talas or resorts.

Excellent Stay

5. The place is very scenic and the road trip to tala adds on to the scenery. The service is very nice and all the staff are very polite, courteous and helpful. The only thing to point out is the absence of a landline to contact reception/restaurant which can be a pain sometimes if and when there is a power outage since mobile coverage is not that good in the area. Apart from it, internet installed in rooms and common areas is pretty good so a wifi call to the reception/restaurant is always an option.
