Fort Munnar

This Fort Munnar is located around 20 km away from Munnar town in the midst of tea estates and greenery. An excellent location for those who want to just want a laid-back holiday with nature. An indoor recreation room keeps you entertained. The children's park is also very beautiful. The rooms were very clean, the staff very courteous and the food very tasty too. The buffet breakfast had an excellent spread each morning. A campfire each evening provides an excellent opportunity for guests to mingle. I suggest that the music played during the campfire be more melodious - like soft instrumentals, instead of Bollywood songs and other disco music. The only 'downside' if you may call it, is the price of food which I personally felt was too high at this Fort Munnar. We were also privileged to be invited to the inauguration of Fort Munnar's renovated dining room. The new decor is excellent and in sync with the rest of the Fort Munnar. There is not much to see or do in Munnar, except maybe enjoy a walk in the tea gardens, that are available in abundance. For those who love photography, there are breathtaking opportunities.

Pro's Check-In and Check-out process are smooth. 1. Great rooms and pleasant atmosphere. 2. It's has a in house Restaurant(Royal Dine) and Coffee shop. 3. There is a Jungle park for kids where they can enjoy which would be open up-to 6:pm and has a viewpoint providing a wonderful look of the surrounding mountains and landscape. 4. The complimentary breakfast is really good. 5. The staff are very polite and pleasant to talk. 6. They have arranged Campfire with Music which was good and it lasted for an hour. 7. The Fort Munnar is 19 km from Munnar, the road from Munnar is better than other road(if you want to do any adventurous place take the other route) shown in google map. 8. There is a waterfall & Tea Garden(can taste different types of tea's) on the way to Fort Munnar and Boating about 7kms from the Hotel. Cons: 1. The price for food is little higher when compared to other Fort Munnars. They have Veg and Non-Veg buffets which would cost 450/- and 650/- respectively. Overall one can enjoy the stay in the Fort Munnar.

I always prefer staying in Chinakannal/Suryaneli instead of Munnar owing to the picturesque small town away from the hustle bustle and close to the two main beauties of Munnar. Navigating to the Fort Munnar has gotten difficult due to the road blockade which continues even after 1.5 years of construction. So plan your travel in a way that you reach here before 6 pm as the road gets shut for vehicles post that and opens only at 7 am in the morning. The Fort Munnar staff was extremely hospitable and friendly. The food wasn't overly expensive considering the prices of the Fort Munnar. This place is best suited for travelers wanting to stay in the lap of nature and not wanting to travel much to the touristy parts of Munnar (which is 25 kms away). We loved the garden, the children's park and the rec center. Overall a great stay and absolutely recommend this place

Traveled with Family including kid and senior citizens. The location of the Fort Munnar itself was very awesome and placed overlooking a valley covered with mist even in the hottest month of April. The Property is well maintained and managed well. The people around were very helpful and provided great service. The food options were very good. The food was really awesome and very delicious. The food menu had Indian and continental varieties. The Hotel has a very good play area where my kid had a nice time. Since I was travelling with a Kid, I was given an extra small pillow and additional toiletries kit without even asking for it. I was blown away by such wonderful gestures. I would definitely recommend this place and do hope to visit again.

The location of the Fort Munnar is far from Munnar town which is both good and a bad thing. It takes almost an hour to reach the Fort Munnar from Munnar town but at the same time provides you with serene atmosphere which you have come for. There is no restaurant or eatery nearby so you will have to order food from the Fort Munnar restaurant itself. Food is bit on the expensive side but is good than what you will get outside... The garden and play area for children is really good... All the rooms of the Fort Munnar doesn't have a view of the mountain, overall it was a very good experience...

Waited for a few days and booked when Makemytrip offered some nice coupons. Ended up paying approximately 3000 per room, which is decent. We are a family of 12, and stayed there for 4 nights. Camp fire, pool, carrom, table tennis, park, enough space for car parking - the facilities were great! The service was good too, they served us sandwiches and milkshakes after restaurant hours! Free breakfast buffet is decent. Lunch and Dinner are very expensive - we usually had them in Munnar town.

Pros : Staff is excellent and supportive. Hotel surrounding is very nice. Food is good. Thanks for special invitation to Hi-Tea during my stay. Cons: No signboards on way to Fort Munnar if no google-map I would have lost myself during night drive. Day one dinner was very much delayed and Fort Munnar management had their own reason for the same. But as a customer I would like to have no excuses. Ayurveda center needs lot of improvements. Overall experience is good.

We stayed for a couple of nights. The property is beautiful, the staff amazingly friendly and helpful and the food is lip smacking (the a la carte items). However, the property is not as big as the displayed photos would make you believe. All in all, a Fort Munnar deserving of a positive recommendation.

It was really good. I loved the surroundings and staff are helpful too. Good service and value to the money. The terrace too had a good view and their spa of Kerala style too renovating. The clouds that move over the mountains and western ghats are clearly seen. Felt like home with Terrace.

Location of the resort is superb... Friendly staff... Room cleanliness above average... Children's park and surroundings of Fort Munnar well maintained... Breakfast and dinner buffet are average but little bit costly with less varieties... No Wi-Fi in rooms but manageable by jio... 17 km away from Munnar. In spite of all the pros and cons, you can chose this peaceful, value for money resort to stay away from crowded city life.

The Fort Munnar located little far from Munnar town and we face many traffic block due to road maintenance, however the Fort Munnar is in the nice place and good location, restaurant is little expensive, staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoy my two night,

We had booked 2 valley view rooms in fort munnar. Rooms are clean and view from rooms is superb. Staff are very polite and soft. Especially their dinner buffet was nice and items are good.

Amenities provided were excellent including Gym, activity centre, evening bonfire and very beautiful Park especially for kids. Excellent staff service and behavior. Also had a visit to their cardamom plantation and processing centre near Fort Munnar. All in all excellent stay at Fort Munnar. Only con is Prices of Food ordered from restaurant is little bit on higher side.

Nice place to stay, would recommend to visit again. The driver arranged for the site seeing and the safari was nice. The place is safe and clean Decent gym and awesome music at bonfire. Really cozy kids park too !!

It was a nice stay. Location is average. Service is good. Need to improve the buffet, variety was OK but taste needs to be improved. Cleanliness was good. Don’t have much in the property to see and entertain.
