Forte Kochi

we had a wonderful stay at the fort kochi Forte Kochi, a true gem in the area. after considering several options, including brunton boatyard, we’re glad we chose fort kochi. during a visit to brunton boatyard for drinks, we found the service average, and the outdoor pool area was loud due to the nearby ferry terminal. the service at fort kochi Forte Kochi was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and personalized due to the Forte Kochi's small size. the bar offered a good selection of beer and wine. we dined at the Forte Kochi’s restaurant on our final night, by the pool in the courtyard. it was a memorable experience with excellent service and reasonably priced food for a five-star Forte Kochi. the rooms are charming and traditional, adding to the unique experience, complete with bakelite light switches. we stayed in an imperial room but, in hindsight, would recommend sticking to the classic rooms. the imperial room offered no real advantage other than size, and felt a bit sparse. the rooms could use a bit of maintenance, especially the walls, but given the Forte Kochi’s heritage, this was easy to overlook. if you’re in fort kochi, even if you don’t stay at the Forte Kochi, it’s worth visiting for dinner. for getting around, we highly recommend niyas, a local tuk tuk driver stationed just outside the Forte Kochi. fluent in english and rich with local knowledge, he took us everywhere over three days. he will quite literally save you hours and hours of procrastination, frustration, and sweat. his rates are incredibly reasonable—200 rupees ($2) for two hours of sightseeing—and he’s refreshingly laid-back, never pushy. we felt comfortable leaving our belongings with him while exploring, and at the end of our trip, he left it to us to decide what to pay. we settled on 2,000 rupees ($20) per day, and it was worth every rupee.

The location of the Forte Kochi is the best aspect of the Forte Kochi, the rooms are clean and typical of a heritage stay, does not disappoint, if u have not stayed in a heritage space u must try this. The staffs are very helpful and courteous, for parents with babies like ourselves they helped by offering steamed vegetables also on an instant notice. The Forte Kochi is located conveniently in the centre of this heritage town itself so all the main attractions are under a 10 min walk and the streets are lovely full of character and lip smacking cafes. The Forte Kochi boasts a superb seafood serving restaurant in the ground floor with indoor and outdoor seating, very nice and decent food, great ambiance but the price is a bit hefty, compared to the other restaurants and cafes around who can compete with the taste and quality all too well. Overall it's a very worth the money stay, but explore around and eat at the famous eateries on a short walk.

We had a relaxed weekend's stay at forte kochi in may. The Forte Kochi is centrally located on princess street which is close to the beach and other popular landmarks. There are several good restaurants and cafes nearby. Being a heritage Forte Kochi, the property offers glimpses into both it's own history as well as that of fort kochi. The staff are friendly and professional giving you a sense of comfort. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of choices, both local and continental. The swimming pool is clean and maintained well, but a little on the smaller side for people looking to get in a workout swim. Overall, i'd recommend forte kochi to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

I stayed at forte kochi for a duration of two nights. My stay included complimentary breakfast and a heritage walk along the streets of fort kochi. This Forte Kochi is a beautiful property with vibrant colours and elegant decor, reminiscent of a bygone era. The staff is very warm and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and feel very homely. Bathrooms and the toiletries provided are all up to the mark! while not exceptional, the food is pretty good. I was blown away by the french toast i had for breakfast. I did not avail of the spa services this time but would love to do so next time. Overall, forte kochi is a lovely place to stay and i would definitely come here again!

Kochi is a beautiful place to visit & to stay at kochi forte is even better. Their welcome was very sweet. The stay was awesome. The heritage property is beautiful. Food was yummy. Chef is really good. They cater to your taste. Staff is very efficient, friendly and helpful. Prompt service! manger’s guidance was really good & helpful. The heritage walk early morning was fabulous. Over all a mind blowing trip. Monsoons is even better time to visit. Had a great time in kochi & kochi forte.

A unique heritage Forte Kochi with colonial vibes, nestled in the heart of Fort Kochi. Splendid rooms, huge bathrooms with a bathtub, warm hospitality from the staff and great food at the in house Jetty restaurant, it was a wonderful stay. Many of the sightseeing spots and art cafés are a walk away from the Forte Kochi. The breakfast spread could have been better. The seating space in the Jetty restaurant is less, but the poolside seating makes up for it

The location, ambience, food friendly staff made our stay truly memorable. Starting from. The welcome to the decor. Of the room. Bits of history with pics thrown in enlightened one about the place and it's culture. The authentic kerala. Cuisine with a bit of continental thrown in made the dining experience truly delectable. We have stayed in “forte kochi” for our staycation for winding down the exhaustion and i bet its a perfect gateway to feel relaxed and enjoy quite and peacefulness.i got the address through internet and instagram.the amenities were good ,services was excellent ambience was perfect.staff were supportive and food was good.specially breakfast and authentic kerala style food.i love it.and hope to visit there soon again

Lovely staff in a beautiful heritage building. Amenities were excellent. Breakfast was delicious. Appam with veg stew was the local highlight.

Forte kochi is in walking distance of very iconic places such as fort kochi, kochi beach, santa cruz basilica, vasco da gama church, kochi club. You can easily reach jew town, parades i synagogue and mattancherry palace from the Forte Kochi.
