We had booked an executive king size room. We didn’t get a king sized bed, instead got a queen sized bed.

Rooms are good. Service is good. Breakfast was a disaster. The restaurant waiting staff needs proper training. The restaurant manager himself didn't know what was being served was buttermilk or milkshake. 'Message in a bottle' is a good restaurant. Their chicken ghee roast & paratha was amazing. Staff was also well behaved & informed.

Hotel Fortel located almost opposite to Chennai Egmore Station and convenient for people travelling in/out of Egmore Station. However Egmore Stnation is run-down and not a good location if you are staying with family. There ar 2 restaurants in the Hotel - I had tries Chilli Malli but food was not good. After check- in, we had ordered Dosa from room service and all of us had stomach upset. The Breakfast was average, we had dinner but found too spicy.But teh Hotel staff was very good and very helpful

Rooms are old, falling apart and foul smell. Full of roaches. Not a single thing worked good - TV, Air Conditioning, Bed lamp. Service is terrible and constant renovation sounds made it unbearable to stay.

My stay was only overnight. Though the room was ok, there was a peculiar smell in the room which was unpleasant. Also there was no bodywash /shampoo in the shower.

Terrible experience at Fortel Chennai, Egmore – Not worth the money My stay at Fortel Chennai was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The service was poor, there was no proper communication, and the staff seemed completely disorganized. After paying a premium price for a suite room, I expected a comfortable stay — but the room had no freezer, no towels or hand towels, and a bad odor. The furniture looked unfinished, and even though they claimed it was “recently renovated,” it clearly wasn’t ready for guests. The TV was missing from the living area — only the stand was there. The breakfast was below average — not freshly prepared, with stale donuts that had a bad smell, and cold tea. Even after requesting fresh tea, it was never served. The manager’s behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. During check-in, the staff were busy chatting among themselves instead of attending to guests. The manager spoke as if he was doing us a favor rather than offering hospitality. To top it all, room service was absolutely pathetic — slow, careless, and unresponsive. Overall, a very unpleasant experience. For the money charged, this hotel seriously needs to improve its management, staff attitude, and basic service standards. Would definitely not recommend staying here.

Very nice rooms with all basic necessities and having good staff who is cordial and kind. Food restaurants available within the premises
