Underwhelming and not worth the price

This was my second time staying at the same property. But it was very underwhelming. The room I got this time was not great. The food was average. I had ordered for room service because it was raining outside, it was very oily. But the reception staff were very polite and nice. That would be my the only plus. Otherwise it really wasn’t really great.

While checking out they told us to wait for few minutes so that "they can check if we have left anything of our belongings in the room" and kept telling me stories to delay, before final settling the bill, this was a humiliation for me and my family which i can never forgive ITC group as it happend in front of my wife and child. I am a Project Manager working at an MNC with a decent pay, after this I will make sure I will not chose ITC for my official stay or Private visit.

unfortunately the hotel entire floor was booked for some VIP guest. they made us wait till 3pm to check in. did not expect that. later it was informed us to have lunch which was included in the hotel complimentary charges, but later they said us to pay as room was not alloted yet. which we refused. overall not so good.

Hotel staff were welcoming, and provided good service. Room was comfortable with needed amenities. We were provided the top most floor, which had a great view of the hill ranges surrounding Vellore city. So bonus points for that! Bathroom amenities were decent. Could have been better with softer towels. Hand towels were missing, which was surprising, and had to request for them. Restaurant ambience was good. Food was just okay though (breakfast was good, but dinner wasn't upto the mark). Saturday evening it was overcrowded, maybe because of the additional guests. It required some waiting time to get a table which they set it up outside the restaurant area. The final positive is the location of the hotel. Centrally located near to eat outs, shopping places, and the VIT university.
