Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Gargi home stay with the family. Owner of the Gargi home stay Mr Sooraj is a perfect gentleman who tries his best to make the guests' stay comfortable and enjoyable. He takes full care of your needs and tries to attend swiftly to your call. It gave me the feeling of home away from home for which one goes to homestay. Even the caretaker Mr Anil is highly serviceable person who stays next door and is always available to attend you. If you are looking for a homestay in Kumarokom free from the hustle-bustle of the city life, you must try Gargi homestay. Located by the side of the lake and across the bird sanctuary, it gives you full view of the serene beauty of Kumarokom. Mr Sooraj arranged the boat at our doorstep and we did not have to go far away to board it. Great place to stay if you are looking for a homestay in reasonably moderate charge.

Location is excellent, right beside a canal and you can see Kumarakom bird sanctuary across the canal. Service is the best part. Since before we arrived till our stay, Mr. Suraj was always available to address our requests and arranged whatever we asked for. The caretaker family lives adjacent and is always willing to assist. It felt like staying in own house beside a canal, though for traveling to and fro, you need to arrange auto/cab, but if you have own vehicle, it is much easier. I visited Alleppey too and personally, found it more crowded, hence idea to stay in Kumarakom and do a day trip to Alleppey was a good decision. So far, the trip has been excellent for us.

Our family stayed at Garggi home stay for four days during christmas vacation. The kids loved the tree house. Suraj and the care taker Anil were always available if we needed anything. Our family loved the traditional Kerala break fast and lunch arranged by Anil and Suraj. Homestay location is very scenic, although the approach Road is a bit narrow. Rooms are clean and has a lovely green theme. Suraj understood our requirements really well and arranged activities like Shikara ride, canoe at and traditional Kerala massage for a reasonable cost. We had a very relaxing stay thanks to Suraj and Anil.

The owner of the house was very hospitable. The house was overall clean but rooms could have been cleaner. It is like a Homestay, you can cook or ask the caretaker to provide breakfast. Dinner and lunch had to be taken care by us. The location was good, just near the backwaters and super peaceful.

Good budget option for families if two rooms are booked. We will get the whole house 2 bhk with provision to cook (if interested). The property is situated near boat jet and bird sanctuary. Over all a pleasant experience.

It was a nice experience for me and my friends. We good management and caretaker. Barbeque facility is available. Good courtyard, nice tree house, water frontage. Overall, comfortable one night stay.

Nice place away from the bustle of the city life. Was like you are in a different world. Very quite and reminded of the past stay at great grand parents place as a child
