Garggi Village Homestay | Rooms & Caretaker

We stayed at garggi village homestay at kumarakom in the first week of october 2023. The home-stay by the canal and the bird sanctuary is right on the opposite bank. While the property isn't particularly large, but it is laid out to have a lush garden in the backyard and lots of flower beds between the cottages. It was raining almost continuously throughout our stay here, but the friendly staff helped us snatch a quick houseboat ride during during a rare sunny break in the weather. The complementary breakfast and dinner (which we ordered) were basic but clean and delicious. I highly recommend this place for stay in kumarakom, the only possible downside being the short stretch of narrow approach road that could be challenging during the rains.

I loved the stay here. We stayed only for one day in a tree house with a view of the lake. One of the best places very near to bird sanctuary. It's just right behind the bird sanctuary. We asked for dinner (chapati, chicken curry, omlette, fish fry and tomato gravy) and for free breakfast they provided puttu, kadala curry, coffee and boiled eggs. They have swing, kayak boat, shuttle and good places to take photo's. I highly recommend this place for stay in kumarakom.

We stayed here for 2 nights, very pretty location and properties. Home cooked food was delicious and authentic. Hosts were very welcoming, the property manager was helpful she catered all our needs. There was slight confusion in billing of food order but property manager took care of it. I recommend this stay to others.

Cozy homestay at excellent location. It is directly across kumarakom bird sanctuary overlooking a lake. Room was spacious, bathroom was huge. They have a beautiful garden too. Homemade food was available at reasonable price. Breakfast was local food.

The homestay is a perfect place for a getaway in serene nature and the treehouse overlooking the canal a small piece of paradise on earth. The hosts are very accommodating, helping you navigate your stay at their best possible.

The property is located by the back waters. The food was great! the host helped us book a shikara ride as well.

The property location is good its just near the water. We booked a houseboat with the help of the owner, it was a nice experience. The host is very good, enjoyed my stay
