Gateway Madurai

Hotel is beautiful, amazing location, mesmerising views. Good staff. But if you want to eat food, please order one hour in advance. Even if you sitting in the restaurant. I felt lack of staff in kitchen. Because of delays in food service you waste lots of time. So serving food part deserve only 3 stars. Rest of the experience in property was really amazing. Don’t expect taj experience in this property. I have stayed at almost all taj properties but this was my worst experience in terms of service.

The Gateway Madurai is situated in a beautiful private hill, offering a peaceful and scenic location. The ambience is excellent, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The food is delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and provide great comfort for a pleasant stay. The staff are courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist, ensuring a seamless experience. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a memorable stay.

The layout of villas is on the hill slope surrounded by a benign forest. This gives you full privacy while caressing you with gentle breeze. The staff are universally polite here and are eager to be of assistance to you. Oone comes away feeling pampered and fully cared for. The food is of the usual Taj standard and has many varieties for vegetarians as well.

Excellent Gateway Madurai, with beautiful surroundings the parsumalai hills offers a stunning view of the city. The staff are very caring very helpful, starting with the ever smiling mr. Eashwar, the chef mr. Tapan not mentioning all the others who were extremely delightful. They have earned my loyalty for sure. I look forward to visiting the property again

The property is as usual great, this is our 2nd time here and the overall food experience hasn't changed. It is tasteless and not much choices. The only saving grace is the property, the rooms and the overall surroundings and the staff. If you are ready to overlook the food and it's taste in general this place is worth.

Gateway is a taj Gateway Madurai. I believe this isbone of the heritage Gateway Madurais maintained beautifully by taj. The ambience, the peacocks strutting around, the food, the rooms, the prim condition of it all, makes the stay menorable. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return with the rest of the family.

I have visited this property multiple times, and each visit has brought me joy and comfort. For me, it's my top choice in madurai, especially because of its serene atmosphere and lush greenery. It truly feels like a peaceful refuge, and i appreciate the calming environment it offers.

The property is excellent. All the staffs are very courteous. The room had an old british charm. Beautiful peacocks roam around the property.

Gateway by ihcl is a heritage property with magnificent views and great rooms. A good blend of nature and comfort.

Its unbelievable that a place like this exists in crowded madurai. We were particularly impressed by the courteous staff. A special mention of chef tapan sahoo who went out of the way to show extreme care to meet our expectations.

Rooms and bathroom are clean and good. but food they need to improve. Taj we didn't expect the experience of food is not good. they need to improve the restaurant.
