Glyngarth Resort (10km Away from Ooty)

I enjoyed the the stay here. RESORT: It's so peaceful and perfect in all the ways. All the staff are really helpful. They have all the amenities mentioned with perfect view of mountain and cloud. They have indoor and outdoor game facilities as well. ROOM: We booked the mountain view room which actually gives the perfect view. Room was huge with all the amenities. Bad part is you won't have WiFi and ac in room. When we visited days were kinda sunny days, so ac is needed in afternoon time as it makes room actually hot. Room does not have opening windows so ventilation is issue. You can't keep door opens for ventilation. This issue may not be there in cold and rainy seasons. FOOD: Breakfast was good with lot of varieties including south, north and continental. Staffs at the breakfast counter were really good and prompt with their service. One thing I didn't liked which I would like to mention here. I ordered pineapple juice at day 1 which was actually perfect. The same I ordered day 2, that has only water. So Glyngarth Resort (10km Away from Ooty) staffs, if you don't have pineapples in stock, please say it's not available. That won't make guests upset rather that giving watery juice makes them. Coming to dinner and lunch. I loved the cream tomato soup. A must try soup. I am really missing that. I wish could got the recipe of it so that could have cooked here. Food was good with respect to quality and quantity. Service I really want to thank Glyngarth Resort (10km Away from Ooty) staff for arranging my anniversary surprises and candle night date in perfect way. I missed there some music but that's ok. That can be ignored. Rest overall stay was good. We really had good time there. Surely will visit again.

We were amazed by the hospitality of the staffs. They were taking special care for each and every customers and they make sure we are comfortable. Manager mr. Karthik met us every time we had food at the restaurant and enquired us whether everything is ok. He also called to room one dinner time to ask us to come and have dinner as they were about to close the kitchen but we refused as we had a heavy snack in the evening. They make sure we have our food at time. Mr. Kamal who was at the reception made the check in and check out very smooth and he explained everything about the resort like the timings they conduct events and fire camp, etc. Food was too good and for dinner actually there was no dosa but when we requested it for my son they provided us with sambar and dosa which we found very kid friendly too. Only thing is the cost of the food is way too high. The rooms very very big and spacious with mountain view and a sofa cum bed. We enjoyed the jaccuzi. Overall an excellent stay and worth for every penny we pay. We are planning for the new year too.

Stayed at Glyngarth from 16th to 19th Feb. There are no points about the resort that can be of criticism. The rooms are beautiful, planned, and with a panoramic view of surrounding mountains and valleys (unobstructed). The cleanliness is up to the mark, staff is excellent.courteous, helpful and prompt. In fact, they contacted us on the day of check-in to help us with directions to the resort from the main road. Great amenities, lots of activities like bonfires, outdoor games, trekking, etc. Food is also quite good, especially if ordering a la carte. The breakfast buffet is also okay. They have 24×7 restaurant support and very helpful staff members there. The only con I can possibly think of is not directly related to the Glyngarth Resort (10km Away from Ooty) but to the access road to it. That is a narrow unmetalled rough road. But to get away from the beaten path, the road cannot be that smooth and beaten anyway. Overall recommended 10/10

While I write this review sitting on a park bench on a chilly morning catching the sun rays for some warmth from Glyngarth resorts! Upon reaching- 25 of 36 grinding hair pin bends from Masinagudi a deviation welcomes to a beautiful village, Hullati. Drive through the village to the resort is amazing. If wild is calling you, could even encounter a bison on your way! The resort is situated in valley surrounded by tall mountain, tea gardens! Welcomed by a warm tea in a cold weather, the service was excellent throughout. The resort has a infinity pool, can look up to the horizon till your eyes limit to! Also, cycling, baking session, plantation walks, bonfire and a few to add. Restaurant has variety of options to choose from and food is scrumptious! Bhuna chicken and Chettinad chicken are must try! Overall we had great time staying here for 2 nights. Kumar has been a great host! Food - 4. Service - 4. Rooms - 4. Cleanliness - 4.5.

Me and my friend travelled to Ooty not for tourists purpose but to relax unwind and be with nature away from all the hustle bustle. Glyngarth will definitely offer you this. It is situated 12km outside of Ooty Town. The journey itself was so beautiful. Surrounded by lush green forest and fog makes it look like an abode in a mystique City. The Glyngarth Resort (10km Away from Ooty) is an almost isolated property on the Side of a hill. We were welcomed with so much warmth by the staff there on our arrival. They were very courteous. The room allotted to us had an amazing view. And every penny was Worth. Another thing that amazed was even the cleaning staff was well versed in English. The Glyngarth Resort (10km Away from Ooty) also arranges trekking trips to near by places. The property has an infinity pool where you can click a million picturesque frames. We were so impressed with ambience that we extended our trip for a day.

Had a good time, despite the rains. Amazing views. However, I still feel the price is too high for what they're providing. Things that can be improved: 1. More activities 2. Temperature controlled pool 3. Better breakfast spread 4. More amenities in the room like room heater, etc. 5. The toiletries, coffee and tea sachets in the room provided were very cheap. Could've been better like Earl gray, twinings instead of Nescafe. Overall, apart from the view, I didn't see any "luxury" for the hefty price. Deep cleaning was absent and very noticeable, like rust in the bathroom, poor smell coming from the bathroom corners, etc. I loved the stay otherwise, and would've given 10/10 if the same was provided at a price of for the room I stayed (Luxury room with Jacuzzi.

Me and my wife have been to this resort for our 1st anniversary. It was an amazing experience. Breathtaking view, infinity pool view is incredible. Especially the Glyngarth Resort (10km Away from Ooty) staff were amazing. I would like to mention Mr. Kumar, the owner and the staff who arranged a candle light dinner for us at the pool side, the moment he came to know about our anniversary. It was a romantic night to remember, thanks to Glyngarth for making our 1st anniversary memorable. Will visit again for sure, 😊 hope the next visit, the infinity pool will have temperature control. Mr. Kumar was down to earth, made us feel at home and even walked us till the taxi when we departed. Eagerly awaiting our next trip with Glyngarth.

It’s in the middle of a forest area yet secured and safe. You could feel warmth of their hospitality. If you don’t wish to go out for local sightseeing, they will make sure that you are bored with their indoor activities. They have also managed to have all the luxurious amenities even being in a remote place and maintained well. The infinity pool and its maintenance is the highlight. They will also arrange for a small trek yet an amazing off-beat place. If you are lucky you will sight bears, elephants and bisons. We had a wonderful 3d 2n stay.

This is the most beautiful place I have been to so far in South India! Incredible views of the Nigiris, amazing infinity pool, overlooking the hills on one side and the valley in the other! The staff are really friendly and the service is quick, the food is great and so is the cleanliness! It's our 2nd visit here and sure isn't going to be our last!

The place where the resort is absolutely gorgeous and it feels like road to heaven. Private and secluded in the hills of nilgiris. Had best views and good care by their staff. Feeling sad to leave the place. Will visit soon again

Chellanging ways and calm interesting place.

The property location was amazing. The food was excellent. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The only thing which could be improved upon is the quality of bed which was really bad. I also had a word with the front desk stating the same. The bed gave a very stiff back after sleeping.

Everything was perfect one of the best resorts I've been to and the stay was amazing but the only problem is the entrance road which is very bad as there is no road only rocks and mud which makes it difficult to come in a sedan car only jeeps and suvs will be fun to come with. Overall good stay.

Nice location noiseless area gives you peaceful time and glyngarth team response was so good especially mr. Kamal. Tasty food and trekking guide so good person.

All pros and no cons. Everything about this place is perfect!

Hotel is really good for honeymooners. Rooms are too good, staffs are very friendly and helpful. Resort should take care of putting a heater in swimming pool. Water was too cold and we couldn't use the pool. Would also recommend to add a kids zone for toddlers. Increase the number of dishes on menu. Food offering from menu was good, but menu is limited.

Place and resort is awesome. Location is all it takes it’s ratings and their hospitality. Only things need improvement in decreasing amount of chlorine in swimming pools and best quality cots to sleep peacefully.
