Very bad experience with eco hurts. Bathroom uncleaned. Blanket having terrible smell, looked that it was unwashed for so many years. Food quality was very bad. Very expensive but not worth it.

The Huts are expensive compared to the cost of the stay. the expectation is semi luxury stay but here even when there was a power cut, their generator went off. The lake view is the only thing that is worth the exorbitant charges.

Overall the locality is very unmaintained edging on dirty. The huts are located in a sdrf campus and totally devoid of basic horticulture generally available in a set up like this. Though the huts are reasonably ok. But do expect the govt. Touch like worn out mats, not so clean panels, damaged taps etc. And do not expect staff to help with luggage on their own.

The best place to stay if you are visiting tehri dam

Location is great. Food options are limited but good. Support staff are amazing, they run around all 7 cottages and attend to the needs of the guests. Amenities are basic but most of it works - like ac, tv, heater etc. If there are any issues, people fix it immediately.
