Golden Lodge

I visited varanasi recently and had a great time. When it comes to the golden lodge, there are few pro's and cons to consider pros: 1. The place is inside the vishwanath gali and very near to the temple itself. 2. Rooms are good at the given price point when compared to others. 3. Staff are fine, they don't have much authority but do whatever they are capable of. Cons: 1. If you're travel-ling with elders, you'll need to walk a lot as it is place in a very congested street and no rickshaw or cab can come here. 2. Wifi is not reliable so keep that in mind. However, cellular network do work. 3. The construction of the Golden Lodge is old style, with very high stairs and not much windows opening outside, so don't bother. Keep in mind to ask for ground floor rooms if traveling with elderly.

This place has to be on your radar if you want to live the varanasi experience. It’s cozy, comfortable and, at the same time, retro. The staff’s super friendly, and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. Special shout-out to the manager for going above and beyond by helping me with sightseeing and other touristy stuff. We got to book a private boat ride directly through the Golden Lodge, thereby avoiding the hassle of finding the best deal all by ourselves. The Golden Lodge also put us in touch with authentic banarsi saree dealers, an enormous saving grace as we saved a lot of time looking for genuine banaras saree stores. The Golden Lodge management arranged everything, adding to the quality of our stay. In a nutshell, it’s a one-stop shop for everything banarasi.

Large beds were welcoming, location with proximity to Kashi Vishwanath temple and Annapurna Mata's Annadaan Seva was such a great asset but rest everything is below average. Though we were more focused on our activities for which this location proximity was more than enough. Note that backside of Golden Lodge is all demolished and so when we stayed in 1st week of Nov 2019, our afternoon were disturbed by all demolishing and banging noise. Also to our surprise we were ask to checkout at 11 am itself. We were planning to leave by 11:45 but they made us leave in 10 minutes which didn't went well. They got next customer for that room and they so asked to leave in ten minutes which we didn't went well. Anyways that was out stay at Golden Lodge.

Lodge is at close proximity to skvt and many times one can take darshan of lord shiva, ground floor of the lodge is preferable for couple or family of three or six, whereas the other floors can be taken by young groups or middle age people as the old height-ed staircase would be difficult for oldies to climb up to the first floor and roof top rooms. Approach of lodge and skvt is same narrow lane of vishwanath galli. This is the nearest lodge to the shri kashi vishwanath temple, anna poorneshwari temple, shree mahakaal temple and meera ghat.

This Golden Lodge is so clean and so safe. Location was so good. I am so happy to this booking. This Golden Lodge is inside the temple which is helpful to us so much and restaurant is inside the Golden Lodge where food are so good. The ordered food are delivered in our room. Cold water are available inside the Golden Lodge which are so clean. Roof are available. This is very busy Golden Lodge and are booked by many foreigner through which I meet some interesting people. Smoking is not allowed inside.

The Golden Lodge is at good location just near to shri kashi vishwanath temple and of affordable rate. Also dasaswamedh ghat is not far from the Golden Lodge. Best part: we got annapurna mata b hog prasad just behind the Golden Lodge every day. The staff of the Golden Lodge is very cooperative and of good behavior. Special thanks to anil tiwari ji manager of the Golden Lodge for extremely cooperative. He was very eager to provide necessary information of local and remote tours.

The overall experience was OK, as I. Spend most of my time out side to expolar. The. Beautiful city as well as gaths .. I Golden Lodge manager said that the. The trafi for per nights is 400, and the same amount is directed form my card .. But I got the discount my MMT. Any way I don't want 2 to argument with the manager .. Rest was fine ..

that place of the lodge(golden lodge) is awesome. I didn't expect like that place in minimum price. The biswanath mandir is behind the lodge and also annapurna mandir. This was the best lodge ever of my expectations. Not at all for luxury . It was medium good. But in my opinion this is great for group trip❤️

All was good but need food facilities in Golden Lodge

Very good lodge and near to temple.

Very near to kashi the great temple. Though i stayed with my old family so it's very hard to take them from one end to another but this was so quick and easy. Yea need to wait in a long line to get inside that is better. One more thing i noticed this lodge is always filled so u need to book prior.

Good location for pilgrim but some trouble some for old age people to reach by up down nerrow street

I feel nice, very near lodging to Vishwanath mandir.

Overall good experience. Very good service provided in just amount specially the house keeping guy hari om was very energetic and helpful also. If i again visit varanasi, i would like to stay at this premise

It is old authentic stay, staffs are very helpful beside main temples in varanasi. Kashi vishwanath temple, annapurna temple ganga that’s are 5 mins or 10 mins walking away
