Very few places offer you a stay where you will feel at home, even when you are away. Gram bangla retreat (gbr) is a second home, if you are looking for everything, be it staycation, be it simple homely and delicious food or the calm/serenity of the location and the lush green spread into which this resort is built. So, even at 38-40 degrees we extended our stay by another day. Such was their cordial reception and warmth in their hosting. Every staff was soaked in sweat and still they never lose their smile serving us. How to reach? one who are living in kolkata can easily reach here, which is around 10kms from joka. The exact location is khuri pole, near to aakra rail station of sdah-budgebudge section. From rail station, tot o and auto will take you to this place. And those who are driving can get this location in gps map. What you will get/why to visit? 1. Cosy rooms - fully air conditioned 2. Organic farm for various food and vegetables. 3. Duck and hen farming 4. Fishery in pond. 5. Scenic green spread which will calm your eyes. 6. Delicious bengali, chinese and north indian cuisine, crafted as per your taste and choice. Directly from "farm to fork. 7. Picturesque views for beautiful photoshoot. 8. Ever smiling service (even in this heat of 40 degree outside. 9. Wifi, modern toilets and accessories. Usp/things to watch for: 1. Food, rooms, location, you can take farm fresh veggies on your way back home. 2. Their farm to fork concept of offering delicious food 3. Baul (folk) sangeet they offer in their community hall/function space. The cordial and warmth of smiling teams of mr. Arif, mr. Dinesh, mr. Jayanta, mr. Santana and all the staff, cook, chefs, gardeners and housekeeping staffs will definitely make you comfortable during your stay and trust, you will not get disappointed. We have extended our stay by one day, such was their hospitality. Much recommended.

Great place for a day picnic & also for a weekend getaway. Staff here is friendly & service is good. We were looked after mr dinesh & mr santu, both of them are amazing, who made sure our stay is comfortable & fun. Food is good here & they have a vast menu. Our pet had the best time here as they can roam around without any leash (only if other guests allow this. If going with a pet, don't book the single cottage, it'll be too small. Overall it's a great outing nearby kolkata & we would love to visit here again.

Gram bangla retreat is a must-visit! the staffs were so polite and friendly, making us feel like royalty. The resort's lush green view was absolutely stunning, creating a backdrop for a truly serene getaway. The agricultural activities, such as milking cows and harvesting fresh produce, were a highlight of our stay. A perfect blend of relaxation and educational experiences!

Nice stay. Peaceful ambiance. Excellent food. Cooperative staff, especially dinesh -the room service staff deserves a special mention. Would love to come back again. Definitely recommend to friends who want a peaceful weekend away from city crowds. Only thing that i would like to point out is the room tariff is little bit too high considering the facilities offered.

Had a wonderful stay at the gram bangla retreat for 2 nights. Our double room cottage had 2 king size beds, 2 washrooms, and a common balcony. The food served was fresh from the farm and yummy, and the staff were always quick to respond. It was wonderful to wake up to the fresh countryside breeze and hear the chirping of birds. This resort staffs are just exceptional in their hospitality. They were always attentive and ready to assist with a smile. The food served at the resort was mouthwatering and prepared to perfection. The environment was breathtaking, surrounded by lush greenery and a tranquil atmosphere. A remarkable experience overall.

The stay was really pleasant. Staff behavior was very polite. The entire place is huge with lot of plantations. Food prepared with their own organic vegetables, tasty & affordable. Ideal place for small family outing, not too far from the city.
