We decided to take a staycation in vadodara for our 10th anniversary. Oh boy! what a decision it turned out to be. Sadhna at the reciption greeted us with a very welcoming smile. Manager nishant was was kind enough to upgrade our room category after they got to know we were there to celebrate our 10th anniversary. He also organised a surprise cake cutting ceremony us in our room along with his team sadhna and shubham. Shubham clicked some really good pics of us. We stayed is executive room - room was clean spacious and well lit. Food - breakfast buffet had a good spread. We decided to have our anniversary dinner at the in-house restaurant azure. Dinner buffet speard was very good, right from indian, chinese, italian, asian they have everything. Starters main course and deserts surpassed our expectiaon. Poonam and pihu at the resturant showed the eagerness to help and always greeted us with a smile. Time and again they both came to our table and had a healthy conversation with my 5 year old son. He had a good time. Interacting with them while we were busy feasting. Location of the Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace- An AccorHotels Brand is right in the heart of the city very close to tourist attractions like laxmi violas palace and sayaji baughich has a zoo and a mesuem. In an all a very good experience, which turned out to be even better with lovely heart warming hospitality. Room - 4. 5/5 food - 4. 8/5 service 5/5 well done guys keep it up.

Had a very nice stay at grand Mercure Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace- An AccorHotels Brand for 4 days. from the beginning itself we felt very comfortable by experiencing the warm welcome and hospitality at the reception. water to drink reminded us of the ancient culture of India.. from there onwards at each moment we experienced the great hospitality...the staff are in the habit of helping their clients. whenever we had problems in getting internet,in extending our stay for 2 more days or difficulty in opening the room .. every time one or other person will be there to help us...so great of you!!! another icident,we had a leak from the ac vent in our room,the person in charge came ,inspected, apologized and within moments we were shifted to another room..He was so much concerned about our comfert..In the restaurant also every one helped us to have a comfortable place to dine and they were very happy to serve us the delicious food we want..the food was so delicious and diverse...liked the traditional gujrati foods very well..the Chef team really néeds appreciation...the room was also immaculately clean with very clean wash rooms.. every thing was so well and good... even though it was a little bit expensive,we had a a very comfortable and pleasant stay at grand Mercure ...If at any time in our life ,we have to come to Vadodara,,our first choice of stay will definitely be grand Mercure. The Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace- An AccorHotels Brand itself is located at a very convenient distance from most attractions in baroda and from the railway station. We had a smooth check in (very necessary when you have tired kids in tow. The rooms were cozy and clean. One of the rooms had a non working tv, but it was rectified immediately. The housekeeping staff was polite and gave us bottles of water and extra towels whenever we asked for them. The breakfast spread was delicious. There were plenty of options to choose from. At our request the Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace- An AccorHotels Brand arranged packed breakfast for us on the day of our departure with sandwiches, chips, ketchup and cut fruits. The Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace- An AccorHotels Brand taxi too was on time to drop us at the railway station on checking out. Singh who was very polite and upgraded me to a better room and also overall the housekeeping people, restaurant manager and server, the cook all were polite and service was upto the mark. We had a great stay at Grand Mercure Surya Palace. It has nice decor and rooms are clean and tidy. Only the switches in the room were lose and we could only use one switch to charge our phones. The breakfast spread is awesome and the food is delicious. The service is extraordinary. Also after returning from outdoor from scorching heat, they served a detox water which was insanely refreshing. Special thanks to Ms. Unnati (guest relationship manager) for assisting us in getting most appropriate room for the stay. The pool was nice and clean. Also appreciation for Mr. Nilesh (Gym trainer) for treating us very well. He also arranged a sauna after swimming. Overall good experience and nice ambience. - Pooja Bhave And Tanaya Powale

Overall, the Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace- An AccorHotels Brand is in a good location, and the stay was comfortable. We booked two rooms for 3 nights with family. We checked in early by 8:40 am on 29th dc and also checked out early by 5:00 am on 1st jan. I was charged an additional half day charge for early checkin for 2 rooms. In my entire life, i was never charged for early checkin in any other 4 or 5 star Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace- An AccorHotels Brands. If rooms are available, they usually allot the room for free, considering we booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. So, i feel the Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace- An AccorHotels Brand management needs to improve on the customer experience/human touch.

The room was a bit small with vey congested washroom & broken hair dryer socket. And a broken tv remote. But the Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace- An AccorHotels Brand staff and management were cordial enough to replace the broken remote on asking for. Also they allowed us complementary early check-in. Fodd was also delicious and in good quantity. Overall we had a comfortable stay. Thank you
