The experience of staying at the great trails property of the grit group was very pleasant. The property is located admist greenery away from the town of thanjavur. It is highly recommended if your objective is not visiting temples alone as this resort is about 20 kms from brihadeeshwara temple. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. First thing you hear on waking up is the welcome chirping of birds. One can see peacocks strolling around and can take walks among-st the greenery. The river in vicinity was not full in december but offers a lovely sight from some of the rooms. Sitting in the balcony, the calmness and sight of trees and sky is very pleasant. The staff are very polite and helpful. The food is good but not great and a wider choices would be welcome.

My stay at the resort was absolutely amazing! from the moment i arrived, i was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The resort itself was stunning, with beautiful architecture and well-maintained grounds. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities i needed for a comfortable stay. Our 2-night stay at Great Trails River View Resorts Tanjavur was nothing short of enchanting. The family-friendly atmosphere made it a perfect getaway for our daughter..River Edge Heritage Room was excellent to stay and very clean.The culinary experience was a highlight – each dish a masterpiece, showcasing the culinary prowess of the chefs. Yet, what truly sets this resort apart is the impeccable hospitality. Every staff member went above and beyond, ensuring our comfort and making our short stay feel like a cherished memory. A delightful blend of relaxation, gourmet delights, and unmatched warmth.

Peaceful stay. All the rooms are river facing. First floor balcony rooms have better view. Spacious rest room has fan, bath tub, separate wash area. Dressing room is there. Staffs are friendly. Breakfast srilankan roti and sambal is very tasty. Bar is closed due to covid restriction. Grit has bought it from ideal resort 60days back only. Food quality they will improve soon. After pandemic, they will start live music, bharatanatiyam etc, best place to stay in thanjavur.

It is an ideal place for a staycation. Great place, with top-class amenities, and a beautiful view. The only improvement according to me is the food quality. Although the south indian dishes were good, the north indian and continental menu was very small and the quality was not up to the mark for a 4-star Great Trails River View Resort Thanjavur By GRT Hotel. But other than this everything was great and the staff is also super nice and helpful.

It was a pleasant stay. The Great Trails River View Resort Thanjavur By GRT Hotel situated near by river bed and we enjoyed like anything. Food is bit cost and taste wise it was good. Full of nature and lush green make our stay more pleasant. Swiming pool is excellent and large. Over all grit stay was lovable and memorable. While checkout grit surprises by providing a gift with tanjore rice and their own garden vegetables. Thanks grit

To start with booking was very easy for 18 members in 6 rooms. Starting with a welcome drink in the reception the check in was smooth. The rooms were spacious, tidy and comfortable with good ambience. The garden, swimming pool, lawns, indoor play area were well maintained. The staff were courteous and ready to help anytime. The breakfast was very tasty with wide variety of choices. Overall we all enjoyed the stay there.

A venue is located in the outskirts of thanjanur. It's surrounded by paddy field on three sides and a river though the river was dry. The property has a pool and an open resturant. The breakfast spread is normal. Rooms are neat, though the property seems to be quite old

Resort was very good. Location was also good. The river was almost dry. It was raining on the day we reached. Staff was very polite and courteous. No words are enough to describe the staff behaviour. Recently renovated, a nice place to stay in thanjavur. Though a little in the outskirts, perfect to relax and soak in the surroundings. Rooms are decent and maintained very well, wi-fi worked well and cleanliness was good. Food was ok, good to hit and miss for some dishes. Can recommend for a stay in the region.

A good place to stay. Away from the main city. When we went the river did not have water flow. So it was not very attractive, but during season time i think it would be good. Rooms are great and the views are nice. Very relaxing. Great stuff. Food was good not great. The complimentqry breakfast did not have any specials from the local area. That was a bit disappointing. Overall nice place, do visit.

Location: excellent. Very peaceful in a serene green surrounding. Well connected to highway on both sides food: top class food, very hygenic. Served by courteous staff. Safety standards: all up to the mark esp. In present pandemic times. S pl mention for the sanitization. Overall: an must-repeat experience.

We stayed for a night on our pilgrimage trip to Tanjavur - Kumbakonam - Chidambaram. It’s a bit tucked away from the middle of city, good for leisure stay. Pool is maintained well and so are the rooms and the property overall. Before guests check in, they can shoo away the lizards 😃
