Green Forest Resorts

The best thing about this resort is it's location ( the amazing view of mountains, forests and potato plantations). The staff is very polite and friendly (specially Rahul and Prakash). My family and I had a memorable stay. I would recommend this property. However, for price I paid, I was expecting more. Here are a few things that need to be addressed immediately. Old, one rod room heaters need to be replaced with oil heaters as they are inadequate for peak winter seasons. The two heaters in our cottage broke down and needed to be replaced at odd hours. The staff needs to be provided warm clothing. Half sleeve jacket is grossly inadequate and inhuman. They need warm uniforms, gloves and shoes. Despite the odds, they kept their chin up and did everything possible to keep us cheerful. More options for recreation. One small trampoline is not enough. I hope someone will read this and take action to make this resort even better.

In the bone chilling January cold the staff did everything to try and keep us comfortable and cheerful. However, for the price I paid, I was expecting much more. Resort desperately needs to replace rickety room heaters that cause suffocation with powerful oil heaters. The two heaters in our cottage broke down and needed to be replaced at odd hours. The resort also needs to provide warm uniform to its staff. One half sleeve Nehru jacket is insufficient for -2 degree Celsius nights. Hotel is fortunate to have staff that keeps its chin up despite such working conditions. Resort needs to have more options for recreation. One small trampoline is not enough. Despite the above, my family and I had memorable two days. We were hopeful of elusive snowfall but had to contend with white layer of frost only.

Travelled to Dhanaulti on 29 May. Drove from Rishikesh to t shri dam and did watersports on blue waters of their lake. Moved onto dhanaulti. Took a stop at Natal but it was cloudy so we couldn't see Himalayas. Moved to Dhanaulti. Green Forest is there km ahead of dhanaulti eco Park. It's 4 cottages built on terraced slopes of a beautiful scenic location. I got a cottage with 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms a living room with dining table and TV. A balcony on edge of the hills where clouds drift in and chill you and the mist is momentary. Sometimes the sun pops out to give you a glimpse of the snow peaks across. Nice wooden fur you're on laze and dream into the hills and clouds. Resort has a terraced farming for Apple and pear trees. A bouncy and two swings and a rope net climbing activity for kids. This was enough to thrill my 5 year old daughter. Check out timings flexible. Staff really took care with room service and tasty food. The chef will personalise your meals and they serve it in casseroles so it stays hot. Charges are around 450 rupees for a whole chicken. Just didn't feel like leaving Green Forest resort. They have tents given to a private company. Who does mountain sports and night safari in Feb valley below for adventure freaks they say you might see dear or leopard. Resort has tent with dining area and amplified music equipment where you can being your own muaic device and have a party nearby eco Park offers a telescope view of hillpoints and temples and there is a surkhanda Devi temple which has over 1000 steps to climb and also Mule ride. Anyone planning to go to Mussourie from Delhi must use this route. Rishikesh to T ehri dam 2 hours). Stop for around 3 hrs for water sports and picnic and move onto Dhanaulti ( 2 to 3 for one night stay Dhanaulti to mussourie takes around 2 hrs. Too sad make my trip app is not allowing me to load pictures.

It is located three kilometres before the centre point of Dhanaulti that is eco park. If you want hustle and bustle of the main town centre this is not the place for you. If you want to enjoy the peace of mind and be in the lap of mother nature than this is just the ideal place for you. You will certainly enjoy your own company as there is no mobile network over there except for idea Vodafone and jio. The accommodations here are two and three bedroom independent cottages located in a scenic surrounding. It is very much approachable from the main road. Staff is also courteous and sh. Prakash ji needs a special mention. If they are able to improve on a few things this can be a good weekend destination

Location overlooks the mountains and is on a secluded mountain top. Food was like home cooked, fresh and hot. Service was timely and staff was very cooperative.
The property is 2. 6km before the main Dhanaulti marker area and the e co park. Very quiet, peaceful resort with a view of the mountains. I am glad to have booked a resort like this one and not a Green Forest Resorts in the hustle bustle of the small town. The food was great, no complaints at all. And the staff was extremely cooperative! we had bbqs and bonfires every night, really going to miss it now that we are going back. If i come here again, i will stay in green forest resort only.

We stayed there just for 2 nights and the overall experience was amazing. Location is great, if the weather is clear, you get a clear view of beautiful Himalaya. Staff was very friendly. The caretaker Rajindra was very helpful and prompt. Food was simple and delicious and they took care of all the requirements as we were travelling with kids who mostly are very fussy about the food. But they also loved it. Food was very reasonably priced. The only negative factor is the maintenance and hygiene factor of toilet. We didn't like that much. We are already planning another trip there with a larger fro this time sometime in August/September.

It is located about 3 km from dhanaulti main city, surrounded by hills. The staff is helpful. The food was simple and good. The amenities are basic but good enough. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Cleanliness is good too. The toilets are clean. Overall, we had a good experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay away from any hustle and bustle. I stayed in two rooms cottage, which is ultimate.. Best place for leisure. There is no shop near this resort. You have to depend upon Green Forest Resorts food. Although it is good, specially the complementary breakfast.

The View of the Himalaya range was excellent due to sunny weather but then basic amenities like Room heater in the temperature of 2' was too feeble to heat the Room as the heater was outdated and was being unable to heat the rooms. Location of the property is good but the bed linens and blankets didn't have any cover. So one has got no option to use the uncovered blankets in such low temp. It's a basic hygiene which Green Forest Resorts should take care off. Staff was very cordial and food was OK. Cost of the rooms is only because of the strategic location which the property has.

One of the finest resorts in Dhanaulti, Green Forest resort surely has a view to die for from any of the rooms and dining/breakfast area has an amazing view of the mountain range. The rooms are spacious, well maintained, clean and very airy, hot water available from geyser throughout the day. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service of the staff is really good. One really couldn't have asked for anything more. Overall, the stay was extremely pleasant, and loved every bit of it. Deserving a 5 star for the stay.

Best place to stay in Dhanaulti, just 2 km before the city centre, down the hill, down the debdaar trees, its a nice resort with beautiful garden. View from this resort is awesome, villages and farms down the hill. Nice people, nice staff, good service, Best thing is bone fire and music at night. Thanks for making my trip memorable.

Good location along with quick service made it real nice. It snowed there a little bit which was like a cherry on the cake. There arrangement of bon fire was well managed and the staff was very helpful too.

It is a peaceful place to have exclusive time with your family, every body there was enjoying with DJ and bonfire as all was available at resort, thanks for staff as they were too cooperative.

Everything was very good. Bonfire was amazing. Atmosphere and services were very good. Good management. Staff was polite and adjusting. Location was very good. There was peace everywhere. In all it was a good experience.

The room was clean and tidy. Food was really nice, and available within few minutes. Best place when going out with family or friends(group). Weather was really awesome. Resort with bonfire and barbeque is add on.

Rooms are very spacious and clean. Amazing view of the valley and a great location. Walking distance to Dhanaulti main market and eco Park. Food is fresh and simple. Staff is very helpful and warm. Recommend if travelling with family.

Everything is good around the Green Forest Resorts location is perfect and most importantly it is a peaceful place but the food is over expansive.

Nice place to relax. Beautiful location and pleasant environment in September end. Just at the start of autumn gives happy time from busy life away from work. A must visit place with hardworking support staff
