Tashkand: A Highly Recommended Houseboat

The location is very close to the main market, and the view of Dal Lake from the houseboat is breathtaking. Both the room and bathroom are kept hygienic. The owner, Musa Bhai, is a genuine person who arranged transportation for my entire trip to Kashmir at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Tashkand Houseboat to anyone visiting Srinagar.

We (couple and 2 year old child) stayed on 13 April 2025. We had booked one room (out of 2 rooms in Houseboat) along with Dinner and Breakfast. Initially, we took lunch (Rs. 400 per person). Later, we went for Shikara for Rs. 800. Mr. Bashir, the caretaker, took care of all the things. The served food was delicious like homemade food. We stayed there for more than 20 hours. Our stay was comfortable.
