Title: comfortable stay with excellent location at Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road hermitage introduction i recently stayed at Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road hermitage in darjeeling for a week-long vacation in jun e 2024. I chose this Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road because of its reputation and prime location on mall road. Location Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road hermitage enjoys an excellent location on mall road, offering easy access to the heart of darjeeling. Major attractions, shops, and restaurants are within walking distance, making it an ideal base for exploring the town. The view from the Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road, especially the higher floors, is spectacular, with a panoramic view of the hills and tea gardens. Check-in experience the check-in process was seamless and efficient. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, providing detailed information about the Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road's amenities and local sightseeing tips. Room the room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the necessary amenities. The decor was cozy and inviting, contributing to a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring restful nights. The room also featured a flat-screen tv, a kettle for tea and coffee, and free wi-fi, which worked well throughout my stay. The bathroom was clean and functional, though it could benefit from some updates to match the overall quality of the room. Overall experience overall, my stay at Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road hermitage was enjoyable and comfortable. The Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road's prime location on mall road, combined with friendly service and well-maintained rooms, made for a positive experience. While there is room for improvement in certain areas, such as modernizing the bathrooms, the Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road met most of my expectations. Hermitage resort provided us with amazing hospitality, delectable food options and above everything else, a room with a spectacular, magnificent and breathtaking view of the mountains. Its proximity to the mall road added to its other advantages. The only suggestion from my side would be- starting the breakfast at around 8 am so that those who wish to leave a little early can have their breakfast peacefully and the restaurant closing time at night should be extended to at least 10 pm. Besides that i've nothing to say. It's just simply awesome and i would recommend this resort to everyone who plans to visit darjeeling.

To start with the best part is the view from each and every room. You won’t need to feel like going out leaving the room. It is a wallpaper like look from the bed. Next is the roof top. It feels awesome to have the breakfast sitting at the room top with a view of the mighty kanchanjangha mountain. Food mostly spicy which was a problem for us. Even the min spicy after instruction is a lot spicy. This might be good for many who like spicy food. Its very clean and safe. Advice to have more variety of local food in the kitchen. Staff is very well behaved and helpful. Eager to proactively help all.

Hotel hermitage is located at a very prominent and convenient location just few steps away from governor's house. It has a unobstructed clear view of mighty kanchenjungha from its rooms as well as terrace. Rooms are spacious, clean and well decorated. It's restaurant serves tasty foods and the breakfast is really good. But the main issue is even rooms are 2nd/ 3rd floor downward. Getting to the main lobby is a real exercise in its own. Unfortunately one of our rooms had broken room heater and the geiser was also out of order. It was really disappointing.

It was a very splendid experience to stay in " hermitage resort. The room " victoria canvas" gave us a mind boggling spectacular view of whole kanchenjunga range. Icing on the cake was the roof top open restaurant which again was not less than a mountain view point on the observatory hill road. Located very conveniently just beside raj bhaban, diagonally opposite to mayfair Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road. Stuffs were polite, helpful and always having a smiling face. Surely it will be my recommendation to others for staying in darjeeling.

Everything was amazing. Right from room, view, room service, food avg. To good, behaviour of staff & managers. Special mention to ms. Ranjita, mr. Chatterjee ( operation manager) mr anurag, mr pasang, only two things i want to point out here. First is smelling of toilet. Pl arrange to keep their some bathroom freshner. Second is dusting. Room is not sweep-ed properly everyday & dust is on floor & huge under the cot even which is not hygienic for the guests of your resort. House- keeping should be improved. Thanks.

Location great. Great view rooms. The authorities trying to maintain well the old property but like other darjeeling properties it also has some restrictions like water pressure is very poor in bathrooms, damp in bathrooms. We had to shift to another rooms of same category due to malfunction of commode flash. That made our checkin experience unpleasant. Food is over priced with average test. Location and view is the chery on the top for this Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road.

Place of this property is mind blowing, darjeeling mall is about to 300 m away from this resort, the view from the room is outstanding, clearly showing the kanchunjangha from the room. I am giving 4 star because the food was overpriced, cm-on the normal khichudi is 250 rs plate, begunvaja is also 250 rs, can you imagine that! however the overall stay was good, i'll recommend to stay at this Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road but mind the food ordering. Thank you

A place for perfect view for enjoying the splendid kanchanjungha. On the darker side no lift and limited food options and that too at an exorbitant rates

Rooms are good and services are good

Pros : location, food, view from room cons : cleanliness(room was stinking with cigarette smell until we complained, no elevator(there is no elevator in this property and if you get room at 40, then you will have to climb 4 stories up and down, which is very difficult for elderly people, excessive noise from bathroom exhaust fan.

Well behaved staff, food quality was good, awesome location, our victoria daisy room was excellent and you can see kanchenjunga from your room window.

Pros: mountain view from each room, large rooms with aesthetically designed room decor, has all the amenities like electric kettle, tea coffee option, bottled water, cookies as complementary options. Cleaniness, room service. 24 hrs running hot water. 10 mins walk from mall near mayfair. Cons: foods are not so good. We had simple fried rice, chilli chicken and ice cream. Damp walls in some places

Beside raj bhaban, 5 min walking distance from mall road. Beautiful view and location, clean room, friedly staff, good food, quick room service. Overall had a good experience.

We had visited in rainy, even when there was slight clear weather mountain view from room was exhilarating

Every thing was fine but need elevator for level 2, 3, 4, and obviously the food is exorbitant rate on comparison to Hermitage Resort @ Mall Road standard.
