Very nice heritage hotel. I have booked a luxury room without a balcony. Room service, housekeeping, every service was just awesome. On a single call, staff available very frequently to give their service. Canton Royal restaurant food is awesome with great service. Buffet breakfast is very good, but they should increase the Indian variety in the menu of the buffet.

Very clean and well appointed rooms. Taste and quality of food was top class. Staff was polite and courteous. Specially front office staff Vaishnavi who was very helpful.

The hotel is wonderful..both food and ambience is great. The staff was helpful .I personally lived the old colonial architecture of this hotel .Well kept and well maintained.

Staff was very good ...food and hospitality was excellent.although breakfast was amazing they also guide people to different places to visit in Varanasi

Extremely disappointing experience! The service was below all standards Moreover, I had clearly booked a Deluxe Room with a balcony, yet they deliberately allotted me another room while the balcony room was still vacant. This reflects both negligence and dishonesty on their part. I strongly advise others to avoid this place.

I stayed there for a day...check in was smooth was alloted room before check in time...Mr Amir Khan from housekeeping dept was helpful in providing the toiletries as well as cleaning the room when required

The Location and facilities at the premises is excellent, the food was also excellent. The reason for me giving them a 4 was because they messed up the room service, spmeother persons bill was added into my room service, while we were dining at their in-house restaurant and bar. I had to show them proof that I was at the Bat and Restaurant when this billing took place and I requested to see the CCTV footage as to where the food items were delivered to a locked room?????. They did nit provide any CCTV footage and after some time said they have made a mistake. I don't think mistakes like these have to be pardoned as they have a lot of Expat Guests checking in, what if they do this to them???? We will be labeled cheaters and thieves by these Expats if this kind-of goof up happens at a Hotel that hosts Expats.

Pleasant stay. Comfortable check-in. Polite staff. Quality food at restaurant and cafe. Staff service was appreciable. Special mention of swimming pool services which was very good.

I booked this hotel from for a family vacation trip but soon found out all that glitter is not gold.Housed in a heritage building, this hotel has a majestic appearance with an old world charm.Poorly maintained property - in our room 203 we found broken stone table top, ill fitting kettle plug, poor exhaust in washroom, uneven floor surface that turns an ordinary chair into a rocking one. Understaffed housekeeping and poor quality of toiletries makes it a full circle. I have never experienced such poor quality bath towels in any hotel. Food is overpriced with inconsistent standards and breakfast menu is 98% repetition of the previous day. The only good thing I found was the spacious room with a large washroom and excellent staff behaviour. A stay in radisson would have costed me less. Definitely not a vfm place but if you want to experience heritage stay you can give it a try

Breakfast buffet was good and staff was helpful but initially the room TV was not working and on second day the electric kettle also stopped working. But after the complaint both the issues were resolved promptly. Location of hotel was good but due to the construction work which was going on there were continuous noises which was not very pleasant

Food was not good and property is very old

I found the property to be ok in terms of haritage and palace like experience - checking was Polite but deceiving. As we came from tample visit from Gaya and we traveled 6 hours by car before reaching hotel- exhausted by whole day of traveling and temple visits. Accompnied by Mother and father both Sr- citizen. Sir we have upgraded you to a room with balcony beacuse it is close to Breakfast area and the parents do not have to walk much.. I was impressed by the thoughtful ness - but all this experience lasted only 10 mins when we entered room - we saw a aging room rusted bathroom and uncleaned room where we can feel the settled dust in our feet- on request it was moped immediately . Not much to complain as we wanted to just go to sleep as soon as possible. But the second disappointment came next day morning when we went for breakfast - parents had to walk whole corridor back to lift almost other side and then on ground floor it was again it was long walk back. Actually realised later that the room we booked was in new section of Hotel - but we were “upgraded” to old rusty “Balcony” room . Rest thing TV was working , AC was good , No complaint of smell which you can see in other hotel quite often. Staff was polite and courtious and food (atleast Breakfast) was good althougg may have been better with some more option - but no complaints here .

Renovation going on so some noise in room as well as room having smell too breakfast is not upto the mark

A terrible experience overall. I just gave one extra star because the food served was good. Starting from entering the room i was given room 315. Which had no autolock on the gate. The key the gave me for the room was just for show. The gate was always open. If i leave the room the room will not close. It stays open. There was no cctv on my floor to see theft or unsupervised or unauthorised entry exit. So basically security of the place was as good as public park. Bed was so bad that i almost didn’t sleep properly till morning. I went for dining and ordered misi roti and dal makhani for dinner. The served me a complimentary starter of mini misi roti and dal makhani in extra. So if you’re serving that as complimentary food then you should atleast inform me while taling order i could change it a bit. Careless attitude completely.

Neat and clean, well maintained property,staff is humble and always ready to help , wake up call was given at accurate time and they humbly packed breakfast for us very early morning.
