I recently stayed at Venezia Portigo in Delhi and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing due to multiple issues during my stay.
After a long and tiring journey, I checked into my room only to find dust on the almirah, table, and even the hair dryer. There was also a used item thrown inside the almirah, which clearly indicated that the room had not been cleaned properly before check-in.
I immediately contacted the reception multiple times to address these issues. While doing so, I also noticed that the television was showing a double image. After nearly 40 minutes of follow-up, they finally replaced the TV with a working one. Meanwhile, the telephone in the room kept beeping continuously even after the receiver was placed properly. I informed the staff, but it took another 30 minutes and a replacement to fix the issue.
In total, the cleaning process and equipment replacement took almost 1 hour and 15 minutes, leaving me extremely frustrated and exhausted when I should have been able to rest.
To make matters worse, when I tried to make a cup of coffee to relax, I found that the electric kettle and the power socket were not working either. The staff had to open the switchboard for repair and later replaced the kettle as well.
Overall, this experience was far below expectations for a reputed hotel brand. After a long flight, one expects comfort and readiness—not to spend over an hour dealing with maintenance and cleanliness issues. The stay was definitely not worth the money.
