Hill View Bungalow

We stayed for 2 days in Hill View Bungalow. Overall it was a good experience and I am trying to list my experience in pros ans cons of my stay duration. Pros: 1. Nice location. If you have got a balcony room then you can enjoy hill view (hence the name "Hill View". 2. In peak season they also plant strawberries in their farms so people can enjoy fresh strawberries too 3. Rooms were big enough 4. Staff was helpful. I would mention 2 people specially Nikhil and Bunty, they were extremely helpful and always treated us with a smile. Rest staff was okay and seemed business oriented Cons: 1. Though location is outskirt but it is situated approx 150 mtr down from the road level hence it is difficult to climb up every time if you want to get outside 2. We stayed for 2 days, and no one came for cleaning or asking for any other service. We have to call the staff every time and each time has to call on their cell as there was no inter comm and half of the time there was no network 3. I was injured and asked for first aid and the staff proudly said "they do not have". 4. As this is situated on the Panchgani Mahableshwar highway there are NO shops, restaurant at walking distance so you have to rely what is available in their in house restaurant. Food was good was little expensive.

There are 3 rooms in a Bungalow with common living room shared by all and an area occupied by the staff/owners. The room itself was spacious with a double bed and a single bed (we had visited as a family of 3) with an attached bathroom. Although the Bungalow was clean overall, the blankets had a very strong odour and upon requesting replacements we were told that it was due to the damp weather, which was a little hard to believe. Our bathroom's flush was broken and although we were allowed to use the adjacent room's bathroom for a day till they checked in, it wasn't the most convenient situation. We would highly recommend calling ahead and making sure everything is in proper working condition! Apart from these issues, we had a great stay, including the delicious homemade food prepared as per our request.

Pros : Awesome homemade food, Wifi access, Geyser, Parking, Peaceful and calm place, Scenic view from the room window, Nikhil was very helpful with room change as the first room was not getting proper power backup, TV in the room, Near to mapro garden, mahabaleshwar and panchgani, Hospitality was very good by the family. Cons: Only packaged water was available to drink. Noise inside the bungalow is quite disturbing sometimes. It is hard to find the bungalow from the main road. It's an off-road drive to reach there. Fun driving off road.

We are frequent visitors in Mahabaleshwar, this time we stayed in this Bungalow and felt like it's our own second home. No disturbance friendly family who always ready to serve. Nothing like professional Hill View Bungalows and lodges. They prepare awesome maharashtrian food with very care and affection. Rooms are awesome with good Hill View. Rate for food is not high at all. Just rate of stay booking varies with MakeMyTrip booking on daily basis. Just u need to be lucky I guess to get good deal online. Cheers book without hesitation.

Location is very romantic but very remote down the hill. It's a good stay for a group or a big family, some more entertainment to be added by the owner for passing of the time like spa etc. Food quality is little bit good and oily. Intercom is a must where some times range issue is due to fog.
No intercom facility was available at the Hill View Bungalow. Some more professionalism to be added.

Overall a good place to stay with friends or family. Facility was decent and most things were taken care of. Service and food both are good especially Nikhil who manages the property was very helpful and hardworking. The path between your car park and the bungalow isn't very convenient and with elderly it can become a hassle. Rest otherwise is quite good and worth it.

Initially we were not sure after we reach in such a remote area bond arcade village however once you are in the bungalow everything is taken care of properly. If you like authentic maharashtrian food you will enjoy the food. Service very homely as it's run and co-ordinated by a family members that is a plus point of our stay. We felt safe all over the time. Good stay.

Need an intercom to call for room service. Hotel staff was very helpful and took extra effort to make our experience better. The road to the Hill View Bungalow is bit downhill and the muddy road becomes bit risky during rains. But heard that a new road to the Hill View Bungalow will soon be functional. View from Hill View Bungalow is awesome.

The location was good, but there was no proper direction to reach the property, so it was not easily accessible. There was no in-house restaurant, one family was cooking the food and it was low in quality and tasteless. I will recommend this property.

I'd been there with family and friends. Stay was homely. Mr Nikhil took good care of us and was prompt at services. The food provided was delicious and homely. Simply home away from home

Away from the main road the Hill View Bungalow exhibits the qualities of all you want for a peaceful stay. The Mapro garden is nearby. The morning presented us an opportunity to witness the sunrise. The caretaker was very responsive to our needs and overall it was worth a stay.

It is a bungalow with 4 rooms. It was an amazing stay. The valley view was just amazing from the room. The quality of food was good. Would definitely love to come over again.

Awesome Hill View Bungalow love the environment and staff communication

Location is very peaceful, but there is lack of street lights to reach till the bungalow which made it difficult to reach there at night. But the owner Nikhil was very helpful and helped us reach bungalow in his car. Food was very good which was made by Nikhil's mother. Felt like home :) service was good and quick.

From Mahabaleshwar road, the road to the Hill View Bungalow is horrible. Barely 1 car can go through. Has slopes and sharp turns. The room was clean and neat. Service was good.

Best stay ever, love the bunglow rooms.
