HIM VATIKA HOMESTAY

Poor property, management not good, Isuggest never book this property, Parking facilities, water supply, toilet not good conditions, make my trip never suggest to go this property or home Stay.

*positive things about this place* 1) room are very specious and comfortable beds with mattress. 2) staffs are very supportive especially saurabh. 3) bathrooms are cleaned and well maintained. *areas of improvement* 1) the place i booked initially from him vatika homestay i didn't got any confirmation call and when i called one day before my booking date, suddenly they were saying the home stay i booked is got cancel-led because of some renovation work. The same thing was not informed from the team as well. Which was very surprising for me. After a one and half our long conversation team shifted my booking to hotel home residency. 2) the biggest challenge here is going to main road to hotel. It is almost 50ft we have to go down in steps for the reception and rooms. My father is 64yrs and mother is 60yrs old. For them it's like a impossible things to go inside the hotel. They don't have any kind of facility for easy accessible to the hotel. Some how i struggled alot to take them inside. Because of the wrong hotel i choose they stay two days inside the room without going any side scene because they can't climb the steps again and again. Even the team or from the hotel i didn't get any information regarding the same. That is the most worse part i experienced. 3) serious issue with the power cut. The day we went inside the hotel their was no electricity in the entire building. And power came almost night 10pm. For charging mobile phones also they don't have any source. As per the room caretaker they don't have any power backup as well. On my next day of staying we also faced the same issue again. Somehow they were able to provide one bucket of hot water to wipe our bodies on the second day of stay. Overally it was not at all a pleasant experience.

The house owner was very cooperative and too polite, nice ambience, very good hospitality and nicely behaved. Our trip was a success! really enjoyed hope will visit darjeeling next! just the food charges are a bit on the higher side hopefully in all over darjeeling other wise nice experience!

Enjoyed a lot in this trip, as using this hotel as our staying. The facilities available here were great and we enjoyed this trip very much. It was a pleasure to go and stay at the property as the facilities available were great.
