Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi

Rooms were clean, the view of smvd hills especially at night from the rooms were really great and buffet dinners had a good spread, delicious and provided value for money. But the front desk is highly inefficient and not helpful at all. They delayed our check-in by one hour and provided us check-in at around 4pm instead of 3pm despite repeated requests. This put our family in a lot of inconvenience despite paying the full amount in advance and the checkout time being 12:30pm. Further, the Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi has only two cabs that too one payment basis though other Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devis provide free drop and pick-up from Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi to banganga for darshan. The front desk does not provide any assistance in getting you cab from outside and they flatly refuse to do so even in case of urgency/emergency. Hot water supply in both our rooms on the fifth level were erratic. Water had to be drained out from tape shower for about 15 minutes before the hot water started coming. This is such a waste of nature resources apart from costing delay to the Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi and putting guests to do much inconvenience but no one in the Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi bothers about it. We complained about it but it was not rectified. To compensate us for the delay in check-in, the front desk offered us free breakfast on our two-day stay but we were leaving early at 5:30am and therefore could avail the offer on one day only that too with packed breakfast. Thus, the property is good but our stay at the Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi was not fully comfortable and satisfactory as one would expect from this category of Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi.

Location - Hotel is conveniently located next to railway station. Amenities - There's no centralised heating. Upon request, the staff provided with a room heater. Cab charges to drop & pickup from Banganga ( yatra starting point) are way too high. Lot of Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devis in Katra provide one pickup & drop complimentary. Given the higher room tariffs charged by Holiday Inn and that they have their own fleet of cabs, atleast this pickup & drop should be complimentary. The Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi cab charges for other sightseeing are also double the price charged by cabs outside. Food - Breakfast spread was good. Taste was just ok. The bakery section was really bad. Muffins, breads were very dry, hard & tasteless. They dint even taste like freshly baked. Room - Rooms were neat with carpeted floor (which was helpful given our stay in winters. However the room size felt smaller after placing the heater with no much space to move around freely. Bathroom - Spacious & neat with hot water all day. Front desk, housekeeping & restaurant staff were all courteous, attentive and hospitality was overall great.

Overall, my stay at holiday inn was nothing short of perfection. The commitment to excellence and dedication to providing exceptional hospitality are truly commendable. Our two-night stay at the Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi was quite comfortable. Its proximity to the railway station makes it an ideal choice for those arriving by train, though the pricing is slightly higher compared to other nearby options. The Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi is situated in a peaceful area, with minimal disturbances throughout our stay. While the food was decent, it didn’t particularly stand out. The only major issue we encountered was with the air conditioning. It struggled to cool the room quickly, and the settings had to be adjusted manually. Despite calling the technician three times to lower the temperature, the cooling process remained slow, which was inconvenient and unexpected

i was staying with my family.Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi has a good location, easily accessible, walking distance from katra railway station.the staff was extremely polite, and helpful.i would like to specially praise and mention Mr.Aakash from the restaurant on first floor.i think he is managing the restaurant.he was extremely considerate, and kind because he accomodated my family for dinner at the eleventh hour.they extended the timings considering the fact that we were just coming back from vaishno devi yatra . overall a very pleasant stay and certainly recommended for a family stay!! big thumbs up 👍👍

The location is very good, just next to the railway station. The Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi staff are well behaved and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the property is new. The food is on the costlier side. But there is a small mall just next to the Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi which had decent food court. The room housekeeping can be improved a bit as i had to ask the room to be cleaned after i returned from darshan in the night. Rest everything is good.

The room were beautiful clean, and very comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the beautiful surroundings of katra. The amenities provided were excellent and what mountain view it was spectacular! the Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi's location is ideal for anyone visiting the vaishno devi shrine

The location is perfect, just 2 minutes walk from station. Rooms are spacious and the view is even better. From one side you get a view of trikoota mountain and from the other katra railway station. Highly recommend.
