Honey Beach Cottage is a secluded property located on a private beach, perfect for those seeking peace and solitude. The rooms are clean and spacious, but lack amenities like TV and room service. The food quality is average and can be improved. The property is far from the main road and requires personal transportation. The approach road is narrow and bumpy. The property has no mobile network or WiFi, making it ideal for a digital detox. The staff is friendly and courteous. The beach is rocky and not suitable for swimming. Overall, a good place to relax and unwind.
Awesome breathtaking experience
sandeep mangalath
This is a sincere experience testimonial for Honey Beach Cottage. We visited this place in the first weeks of year 2018. I wanted to make this review a story but then that won’t help real visitors to this place, hence facts and experiences in pointers. Weather was little humid and sun was warm around 24C average and no rain. This place is really a paradise in many sense. There is no TV, no refrigerators or mini bars in the rooms, no wall clock, and no network coverage whatsoever. And that’s the best part of this place. Loose your gadgets and digital watches and come to this place. The cottages many trees around and within the premise and ir faces the sea and view and the white noise of the sea waves is just mesmerising. There is wonderful private beach just adjacent to the reception area and you can enjoy the sea in its wholesome. You can actually see the river Gangajali joining the sea and a fading shade of fresh water current to very long distance towards the saline sea water. On to the right you can find the belamber beach. Come out of the main gate and walk hardly 100m and then take the trail which starts after the mango tree and the walk up the trail to get a magnificent view and you will reach the top and will find a Pi pal tree and just a couple of steps down towards right you can get a 180 degree view or the beach line and wouldn’t miss sitting there for long, take enough water while on that trail. They make food with lots of love and it’s really palatable and enjoy your food outside and not from your room. And for that sole purpose there is no room service which lets guests find places within the premise and enjoy all your meals with sea and it’s sound. Sea otters appear early in the morning and at times till 1030 in the morning and we got lucky enough to catch a good glimpse of a Dolphin who never wanted to leave. The people who run this place always have a smile and treat every guest equally. The staff from managers, to house keeping to the ladies who keep the premise tidy are all treated equally and they are friendly to us. There is an amazing hut down the hill very near the rocks where sea the gush in is the place for yoga and meditation and you will be greeted by a courteous yoga master in morning and evening. A word of advise don’t go there if you want to be just connected to the internet and browse, upload and download stuff, though they have got a sophisticated internet connection with individual codes for users. But don't waste time with your gadgets. Go to the beach and enjoy a swim or just looks the waves and listen to them and see the fishermen out at the sea. We enjoyed this place to the fullest and we do have great memories. By the way we had taken our lovely dog as well and he just enjoyed the sea and the place and million things out there. Please send a note to the Honey Beach Cottage about the dog before you visit as it is necessary. Enjoy your stay, and find some pictures
Great Experience
Shubhendu Bose
Visited Gokarna during Thanksgiving and stayed at Honey Beach Cottages. We literally had an entire beach to ourselves and not a single soul around. The only ones around were the innumerable crustaceans, the kingfishers, the sandpipers and the occasional curious sea eagles. All these just 50 meters from your beach side cottage. To add to the happiness is good food, sudden sighting of dolphins from the restaurant, watching the sun go down while the fishermen putting their best efforts to finish their day's catch and lot many soul cleansing experiences. An ideal place for couples to refuel the relationship. Pros - 1. Staff members are extremely courteous, polite & responsive. 2. Location - Secluded & far away from the crowd 3. Food quality 4. View from the restaurant 5. Beach adjacent to the resort - Almost like a private one. Cons- 1. The rooms need to be maintained more effectively. No Room Service - ( Understandable as they have limited staff 3. No Television. 4. No Recreational activities ( Table Tennis Boards/ Chess/ Dart Boards/ Foosball) would add up the spice.
Chilled out place with no one to disturb. Good vis
nihar jain
Very nice place and very cooperative staff. Very silent and isolated with no disturbance. Has a beach attached to it, where you can chill with not much people coming to disturb you apart from the fellow Honey Beach Cottage residents . . Only issue is no network anywhere and WiFi speed is also not much encouraging. It is a little far from Gokarna and involves ferry travel, so half an hour is wasted there. Food is above average, I personally liked it. Overall my experience was positive, you can surely go for the Honey Beach Cottage, if you are visiting Gokarna for chill axing and not for visiting temples and lots of beaches.
The location is just amazing. You can't get enough
HASAN AAMIR
The best thing you get is a private beach with no people around. The overall stay for 2 days was amazing, the room was a little small but decent enough, because of the open location there are lots of insects and lizards during the night time, you need to be careful that the big insects do not enter your room or clothes. The food is good, but a little costly. The nearest town is 11 kms and that is the only drawback. But once you reach the place you will not feel like leaving the place. It is like heaven on earth. Just beautiful.. And to top it off the staff was amazing and very helpful.
Great Holiday at awesome location ..
Gunjan
The location is awesome away from the hustle and bustle of city without Mobile network. Resort is located on the beach and both rock and sand beach are stone throw away distance from the cottage. Rooms are clean but need better maintenance. There is no room service and TV in the rooms. As it's located in the middle of the plantations so there is a problem of insects and snakes. Beach is full of baby crabs so need to be careful while getting on the beach. Food is good but can be improved. Staff
Approach road is quite narrow
Harisankar Mallath
We stayed for a night. Approach road is quite narrow. But the place is very quite and calm. Almost a private beach near the cottage. The beach is rocky and water is deep with under currents, not recommended for swimming. Good clean cottages Calm and relaxing to stay. The manager, Mr. Ganapathy is very good, friendly. If coming or going to Gokarna, there is a ferry/barge to reach here. Food is not good. Good place to relax, view the sunset. Good place to stay and relax.
Scenic beach cottage
Makemytrip Customer
A scenic beach cottage. Can be more customer friendly. It would have been great if someone had assisted us to the beach. Route to the resort was scenic as well. Overall the experience was different and great.
Excellent views
Mugunthan Rajavel
Good place to hangout with friends, excellent views of Beach.. Little improvements needed in room facilities. One needs to be cautious while crossing to beach over slippery rocks to access the honey Beach. Staff are friendly.
Nice Calm Stay
Nitin Gorde
This is good for family. The Honey Beach Cottage is near beach and the beach is generally less crowdy. Ideal for folks seeking peaceful. Its little out of city and most sims do not have range and there are no TVs. But, thats what vacations are for - no phone and no stupid tv . . Food is good. But the breakfast menu is somewhat fixed.
Pleasant stay

Good Stay
ishwar dutt
The place is excellent, private beach simply stops you from visiting other nearby beaches. The resort was less satisfied although the services were excellent, food was really great. The access to the Honey Beach Cottage from main road is horrible I believe this is the only negative we could see.
Ambience
Kaushik Reddy
This place is for those searching for peace and solitude. This place overlooks the rock beach where you can spend hours together just sitting on the rocks and staring at the waves. The service is really good.
