Hostel Gandhi

I had an amazing experience at Hostel Gandhi during my second solo trip to Chennai! The location is perfect, being well-connected and situated conveniently between the railway station and the airport, with a metro stop nearby. The hostel itself is peaceful and offers a great ambiance for relaxing after a day of exploring. The atmosphere was very welcoming, with friendly fellow travelers and a charming host who made me feel right at home. I loved the three cats that roam the place (except in the rooms) – they added such a cozy, homely vibe to the space. The big parking area is also a plus for anyone traveling by car. The food served was delicious and decently priced. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend Hostel Gandhi to anyone looking for a comfortable, social, and well-located place to stay in Chennai!

If you are coming solo or as couple this is a best place. It has mixed dorm, but yet sharing facilities was not a problem, everything was available to everyone. Peaceful environment and friendly staffs. Must try if going as couple or solo at afforabhostel stay.

Safe comfortable clean. Good for solo lady travellers -working/ students . Quiet location in middle of city. Friendly helpful polite staff. Cabs/ Autos /food stalls at your reach. In house cook 8 to 8 for basic bfast, lunch ,dinner ,on order .Rate 5/5

I was staying one night. Overall, my stay was pleasant and comfortable. Location is accecable to metro and restaurants. and It's a nice quiet place. The property is very clean. The staff is polite and helpful.

The place is nice to stay and the kitchen want more clean. That’s the only issues i can face it over there. Other than that everything is fine the staffs are more friendly the place was so noisy too

Budget friendly stay for solo travellers looking to stay in chennai. Ambience and accessibility is decent. Almost all the amenities of a regular hostel are provided. Go for it

The hostel feels like a home. It was a good experience, and the staff was very friendly. The washroom is clean and neat.

Everything was fine, especially good job by akshay the manager. Location was spot on with the metro line in a walkable distance.
