Hostel Mama|Bagpackers at Ghangaur Ghat

Nice view in budget near ghangaur ghat i went during holi time and the vive there is so much exciting and holi festival is just outside my hostel and it was a wonderful experience

Worst experience in udaipur, they don’t even bother to give you the room you booked. We booked lake view room and they did not even care to give us that room instead they gave some other room without adjusting the price.

Except king room other room are not maintained well saying the excuse that it will be under renovation. You can only book king room other room are not maintained and it will look like a haunted room when you rest.

We are a group of 6 friends who went to udaipur and we really enjoyed our stay at mama's. Uncle care taking the property was great and a previous classical singer. The ambience was also good. Overall nice experience

We booked the deluxe room for three, it was basic and congested. The property is near gang-our ghat but only appropriate for youngsters, not for family.

I had booked a standard room. Which was spacious. Neat and clean. Staff was very helpful and supportive. Best part was gang-our ghat wich was on walking distance

The room size was adequate but the bed quality was not good at all. A lot of the creaking sound was coming from 1 side of the bed. Plus the washroom/bathroom was very small even for 1 person.

Room and location was good, very good experience. You can try if visiting udaipur.

I was not allowed at the roof top, as the cafe owner there told us that it doesn't belong to hostel and u have to pay to sit here even through its not mentioned. Secondly taps were not working gysee was not working, everytime I had to take a shower or use washroom I had to ask the staff boy who was not available 90% of times. My first experience of booking was really. Major thumbs down

Location: best food: okay room: average (tv not working) anil is very helpful, i had booked room for 3(my wife and a kid of 9 months old. Upon reaching there we checked the room it was having 4/4. 5 feet bed, which couldn't fit. They given me a bigger room.

We booked two rooms for our family. However, my experience with mama hostel was horrible. Rooms were completely different from what we saw on screen while booking. Room service was horrible mop was so dirty the moment he wipe the floor more hair and dirt use to get stick to the floor. During our 3 days of stay twice i had to aa mop the floor as the room service lad use to say coming and then use to get vanished, keeping the mop and broomstick outside the room. Also on the day of our arrival nobody bothered to help us with bringing the luggage upto the room on 2nd floor, even after multiple requests. Switch sockets use to come out the moment we pull the phone charger out. Every morning have to call for water in the bathroom. No electricity back up or invertor. Also the room window glass were broken pigeons were coming in and out. I would recommend think twice before booking this place for stay.

Hotel staff was cooperative and place is decent with beautiful rooftop view. Cleanness was there and rooms and bathrooms was properly cleaned. Food quality was good and but bit pricey. Kitchen staff was friendly. Overall it was a fun and enjoyable experience to stay in mama hostel.

I had booked double deluxe room in hostel mama for stay on 25,26th November. the Room 201 that was given to me is around 100 Sq Ft. There is not a single chair, cupboard or study room in the room 201 Walls of the room are damp and room is full of seepage. Water flow in the tap of bathroom wash basin is too low not able to do even brush with that water flow. Bedsheet was dirty. It was not changed in next day room service. Size of the blanket was not enough to cover even 5 feet height of myself. They have only given one small bed, one mirror and one bathroom inside the room

Overall experience is good, hostel staff manners & behaviour excellent. Suggestion- hot water facilities.

1) location is very beautiful. 2) hotel decoration, colour combination is very good. 3) very old building, remodeled as hotel. 4) room service is little poor. 5) only problem for aged person that the hotel doesn't have lift, and steps are steep. 6) staffs behaviour is good. 7) very good ambiance.

Location is a thumbs up. Anil at the reception guy is helpful for guiding n arrange auto. Roof small cafe is an add on plus. But the food is surely not as i ordered only dal tadka. Couldn't recognise which dal was it. Only tadka. Hole in bed sheet. Ambrai ghat is the best of the trip happy that we covered it at last n didn't miss out and spent serene more than an hour at the lake. N didn't want to get up from there

Great location, staff, food, rooms. Very pleasant experience. Room amd bathroom was clean, big enough. Location is very very close to gangaur ghat.
