Hotel Amaravathi

The property is located in the centre of the cityand very near for guruvayoor temple. The first impression about the hotel was not not so good because they had a bar in the entrance where people got drunk and looking weird but the rooms were neat and cozy and had a very comfortable bed I would highly recommend this place if they shift their bar somewhere else instead of the entrance and it would be very nice if the people in the reception avoid keeping liquor bottle in the reception table as women staying there don't feel comfortable Hope they understand ❤️

The receptionist was drunk. They did not made any arrangements for hot water. They are saying it is solar heater and due to rainy season, it is not working. Brushing kit was not provided. They shoutdown the power for our room by morning 9.30 and they never turned it on. Poor car parking facility and most importantly room service is not available

No care packs provided like tooth brush (unfortunately i forgot). Requested and was told it was out of stock!!! Access road to the hotel parking was flooded and road is not paved, deep potholes, scraped underside of my hatchback. Was an uphill task to get plates to have dinner as we checked in by 10 20 pm in the night. Room phone could not be used to connect to reception. Insistence of clearing the bill immediately for any room service rather than at check out. Odour of smoke in the room. Some used lingeries in the cupboard. Didn’t feel very welcome for me and my family. Appears this establishment prefer a different type of customers. Nit recommended for families

The room was very good, neat and clean. You need to order food from outside as they don't have a restaurant particularly for food, but you will get small items and non-veg as they have a bar. When we booked the room, the personnel at the reception gave us the key and told us that our rooms are on the first floor. That's it and our expectations also were not much. You can blindly book this room for the budget as it's very spacious. Hope this is useful

During my recent visit to Guruvayoor, Kerala, I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Amaravathi. The overall experience was pleasant and satisfying. The staff were courteous, the rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the amenities provided met all my expectations. Among the places I’ve stayed, I felt most comfortable staying in the hotel, thanks to its peaceful environment and convenient location. Hotel Amaravathi, Chavakkad, Kerala, truly offers a welcoming atmosphere for travelers seeking both comfort and affordability. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Location was good. But the service was average. No drinking water, toileires were provided,. room was clean and neat but its not a good option for a family to stay

Bar attached hotel. Not suitable for family members. Food was not available inside the hotel and water was not provided. Room was good. Amenities okay.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had one of the worst experiences ever. From the moment I checked in, things were off. To make matters worse, the air conditioning barely worked, and when I complained, no one came to fix it despite multiple follow-ups. Room service was painfully slow and the food was cold when it finally arrived. Noise was another major issue – I could hear everything from the hallway and adjoining rooms, making it nearly impossible to sleep peacefully. Overall, this stay was far below expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. For the price they charge, the service and amenities should be much better

My sister and my mother recently stayed at this restaurant while visiting the famous Guruvayoor temple, but the atmosphere was very uncomfortable for them. The place had a bar, which we were not clearly informed about, and it was full of men with no other female guests present. It didn’t feel like a welcoming or family-friendly environment. If you are looking for a more balanced or family-oriented setting, this might not be the best choice. More transparency in the description would be helpful for future guests.

Rooms are good. Staff behaviours also good, but many times power cut has occurred and there was some issue with generator. During this time we have faced few difficulties.
