Hotel Cecil

The hotel staff was very rude. Not addressing the queries properly. I tried to extend my stay but after making the booking, they denied that there were no rooms available. I had to shift to a different hotel with my family and baggage causing too much difficulties

Rooms are good. But disappointed with the behaviour of the staff. They were very rude. Asked them to extend the stay for 1 day by taking the necessary fee applicable but they denied it with very rude behaviour.

Hotel is in 2nd floor. No lift. Have to carry your luggages. Rooms are normal and very small. After keeping two suitcases no space in room. Had to book this since we had a work in kolkatta university which is near by. Central metro is 8 min walk.

The location is good. The hotel ambience is good. The behaviour of the hotel staff was very good. The room' s condition was very good. Overall a good hotel for a short visit in kolkata in a prime location.

Room were not suitable size. Cleanliness and services were an issue. There were neither proper food nor proper flow in tap of bathroom. Also, the ac not worked and were charged 500 extra for the air-conditioner!

Best for couples. Staffs are good. 3km from sealdah railway station. Nearby family resturant available.

The accommodation provided was in an old congested area. The access to the hotel was through a narrow lane which was not motorable. On top i was told after checking in that for availing air-conditioning i would have to pay an additional charge. This is an unfair business practice. It was a small room with no ventilation. I had told them while checking in that i needed the room for only 4 hours after which i had to catch a train. Yet they charged me extra for air-conditioning. Paying around rs 2500 for four hours is a bit exorbitant

Terrible hotel. Very small room. They charged for extra bed and did not provided it. Ac not working properly. They have only 1 and gourd and one staff whose clothes were were white with swat stains. Pathetic service. Had to check out within 5 hours.

Good place to stay but not to business travel standards, you guys need to improve your breakfast timing etc

Staff service not good. Receptionist good. Not given water free of cost. Roomt condition is good but ac condition not good.

The property location is in central kolkata, food is also good. Just two problems are there; #1. No elevator as the property is an old one and very difficult for for persons with breathing problem and # the washroom, although very clean and well maintained, remains wet for a long time. Otherwise, the staff and management are very cordial and helpful.

Extremely non cooperative staff. Pathetic rooms with no ventilation and poor service. Staff keep sleeping till 8 am with no botheration if someone needs any help in the morning. No one responds in reception.

Very small rooms so its not a comfortable stay. Hygiene is good. Staff are good. I will not recommend it.

We book one deluxe room for one day. The room, although small, is nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean too. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The room was very much small. Bathroom was smelling bad. Complimentary water bottle was only of 200ml. Food quality was average. The only positive point of this hotel is location.
