Hotel Chanakya

We recently stayed in rooms 301 and 302, and our experience was absolutely terrible. The hotel looks decent from the outside, — once you step inside, it’s a nightmare. There was no cleaning done, no hot water, and no toiletries provided. Even after calling reception multiple times, no one came to help or fix anything. Almost all the power sockets and switches were broken, making it impossible to charge phones or use basic appliances. The toilets were filthy — honestly, public toilets are cleaner than what we found here. There were no basic facilities at all, and the overall hygiene was unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s a total waste of money and a huge disappointment. Don’t know if you looking for just a bed to sleep.

very bad building inside the room. too much bad smell. bathroom not good no water heater working pls dont go to this hotel

Hotel Location is good, Food was excellent quality but expensive, room looking good but old items in rooms and bathrooms still in use, should be change .”, door lock horrible .. staff behavior good

There is not customer service only book room and stay here they will not provide soap for handwash and toilet is to duarty

Absolutely liked everything about this hotel. From delicious dining options to cozy rooms with stunning views, everything exceeded my expectations.

Rooms were very very bad, all rooms were having bad smell. AC was not working, bathroom fittings not working properly, and bad odur was there everywhere. I had to open windows for getting normal smell.

Only location is good and apart from that they have the worst rooms and pathetic bathrooms...... and on the top terrible room service too. Due to this they have really such a low customer ratings....and the images they have shown for the rooms in the description is far from the ground reality...🧐😡....they have ACs of 90s era .....so old I would have given zero stars to them ..

hot water and TV not working, room cleanness issue. Location is good but room services standard is required to improve.

I had a terrible experience staying at Hotel Chanakya in Agra. The pictures shown were completely —what I actually got was nowhere close The lift was not working, and I was given a room on the third floor. To make things worse, at 9 PM, the AC stopped working. The manager kept saying it would be fixed in 5 minutes, but even by 11 PM, nothing changed. I eventually had to sleep in that hot, uncomfortable room, not even knowing when the issue was finally resolved. The room itself was poorly maintained, making the stay even more unpleasant. If I had the option to cancel my booking, I would have done so immediately. A truly horrible experience—I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

I and my family checked in at 5 pm in the hotel and as we went to the room, we were very disappointed to see that the room was very DIRTY like with dust laying everywhere. Toilet Flush was broken and not working Bathroom was very dirty with mosquitoes roaming around. For this i switched to another hotel at 9 pm. I was really disappointed to see is having such hotels in their list. Next time in my any visit i will try not to book any hotel

Very bad experience with hotel. Bad and dirty rooms lots of mosquitos and room is not clean. Bathroom is dirty. We left the hotel in midnight....

It was a pleaseant experience the staff were super helpful although tye price of food was steep but that was expected since its Agra not Kolkata.

The building needs to be renovated. all paints are chipping off... toilet in damaged condition. unpleasant experience.

even with we visited big family...they helped nicely to arrange accommodation.the rooms are very big.. and very near (just 2km ) to Agra .

Rooms are big but very old model, washroom are british type fittings and flush box very old and room 214 not working.

misbehave by manager. and tells us not giving the room . and the money was not refunded by the hotel and I'd card print out by the manager
