Hotel Duke

Stayed in Hotel Duke Srinagar for 5 nights-6-10 May 2016. The Hotel is at Ghat No 13 Boulevard-Road adjacent to Dale Lake. I had taken Lake Facing Room. Excellent view of Dale Lake from the room. Room is quite spacious and also the Bath room. Lift & Power back up is there. Comfortable to stay. Hot water through Geyser is available 24 Hours. The Main Disadvantages are:1-Tea is not served before 7am. 2-No choice of food. Fixed Menu with little high cost. 3- Very Limited Channels in the TV. That too no English News Channel. Over come the 1st two by taking Tea in morning at Ghat N0 15 just 100 mts. Took food - Breakfast & Dinner in nearby Hotels. Deli the Rosai, Hotel Kareem, Hotel Shamyana, Hotel Lahsa-Chinese in walking distance or by Auto by paying just Rs 20-30 are Good options for dinner. Do not bother for safety at night. Boulevard Road is full of People till 11pm & the localities are very cooperative. I think Srinagar is as safe as many other cities. May be better. For Breakfast I will recommend Delhi the Rasoi at Ghat No 11 or 7 & Krishna Vishnoo Dhaba at Dalgate. South Indian Food- Breakfast is up to mark. Make My Trip Charged more from me when the actual price is less which I confirmed over phone after booking through MMT. MMT must ensure that all Hotels in North & Western India are providing English News Channels in TV & in South India Hindi Channels with News Channels. I am stating this as I have faced this problem. Hotel Duke will do good to provide Tea/Coffee Maker in the Rooms & add immediately English News Channels in TV. Overall Happy with Hotel Duke, Srinagar.

We booked primarily for the view as you can see the dal lake just in front of you and the lake view rooms are recommended. The room was cleaned and spacious. There is enough parking and staff is helpful however since they are at prime tourist locations, dont expect too much from service point of view. There was a power cut during the night and all lights and fan stopped working, we were expecting at least fan and light to operate on power backup but that was not the case. Wifi was available but it was so slow that it was not usable. This is important aspect in valley because many a times your data network will not work and during our stay, none of the mobile data was working due to some issues.

Infront of this Hotel Duke there is dal lake, which is a magnificent view from windows of the Hotel Duke. Any queries can be reported to reception through a telephone offered by the Hotel Duke. Most important that there is geyser which is needed during winter time. Additionally, there is tv which is required for leisure entertainment. Services are quite good. Including all of these, it is good and fine Hotel Duke for everyone.

The location of Hotel Duke duke is just beside the dal lake and our room was lake facing so that gave a panoramic view of the lake. Room service is excellent and staff is really courteous. Food quality is otherwise good but can be little less spicy. The Hotel Duke arranged vehicle for our sightseeing trips also. Overall excellent services and we had a memorable and happy stay. It's a safe Hotel Duke for family visit.

It was awesome to stay in Hotel Duke. We are two couples. It was on ghat no. 13 in front of dal lake. The room view was nice. Good welcome. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The rooms were clean. We had only breakfast here, which was also good. They provided us Tavera (vehicle) for our further journey, only Rs. 2000/- per day. Other nearby restaurant are also available for lunch and dinner.

It is a good Hotel Duke at a great location. Service is good and I feel it is better to book the room and have food separately though the quality of food is healthy and good. The price of the room should be reduced by 10-20%. The room service should be improved a bit. Also, the Hotel Duke people must respect the privacy of people a bit though they are good and trustworthy!

Location is excellent as it is located on Dal lake. We did not taste the food. Vehicle easily get from this place. Service is good. No WiFi connection at rooms. You can go for sikara ride any time from here. Prepaid don't work here so careful. Leave early morning for any trip from here. Hope this is helpful for you.

With short prior intimation as we were stranded on the Jammu Srinagar Highway, we were received at 3'o clock morning very warmly. It was very unexpected and very impressive. The staff were highly cooperative, however room service was good but room maintenance is to be improved. I look forward to another trip.

Heat water not available, intercom not working location is good, hygiene more require location is good

Room Was excellent, location is just opposite Dal Lake the pride of Kashmir. Restaurants are near by. Service was courteous. Staff were simply good with a warm touch. Cleanliness was OK. Airport transfer is convenient. Really a fantastic stay and enjoyed a lot.

I m very happy for this Hotel Duke there are giving for good service and good advice overall great staff and thanks for once again my family is very happy and I m sajest my reletiv and all my friends that if you're going to Kashmir so choose just duke Hotel Duke only

Hotel location is excellent, Hotel Duke staff are very good and cooperative. dinner was excellent. the only problem was breakfast with limited choice. i suggest the management to look into it. overall it was excellent.

We had wonderful stay at Duke Hotel, Srinagar. Service was excellent. Ambience and location is awesome. We liked the food very much. The staff were helpful, cordial and nice. I would like to stay in this Hotel Duke next year again.

Rooms are big and cozy and opposite to dal lake. Breakfast is wonderful - bread butter and jam, masala omlette, tea and coffee, pratha with curd and pickle and then comes poha. The behaviour and support of Hotel Duke staff is nice and good. Overall nice stay @ Hotel Duke duke.

Very much hospitable, very nice and friendly staff. The Hotel Duke gives a nice view of the lake, you can enjoy the colorful view of dal lake at night. Also the staff is very cooperative and helpful.

Best rate and best location in this rate and large room size

Location was best. Scope for a lot of improvement. All facilities like transportation eating points mughal gardens and shopping etc are very closely located. Hotel need improvement in providing certain other facilities in the rooms. Worth money.

The location of the Hotel Duke is near dal lake ghat no 13. Service was excellent. Room was a bit small and the bed was also not sufficient for 3 persons. Extra bed provided by the Hotel Duke without any extra charge. Breakfast was very good.
