Hotel Garuda

One of the best Hotel Garudas I stayed during my Sikkim trip. Garuda is in Pelling a beautiful town of Sikkim. I booked this Hotel Garuda through MakeMyTrip and got it for an excellent price for two nights! Few really good thing about this Hotel Garuda are: 1. Location is really good and is where most Jeep drop. 2. Excellent hospitality by the owner and family. 3. Food is just fantastic and tasty. 4. Rooms are really clean. 5. Free WiFi. 6. Great View of Kanchenjunga from the room I stayed (Room number 18). 7. Day tour arranged from Hotel Garuda at a reasonable price and good driver. 8. Accepts credit cards for your Hotel Garuda expenses and also for the tour etc. 9. They do help to book the Jeep for you from Pelling to other towns. I felt more like a home than a Hotel Garuda as the whole family works in there including kids and you just feel like home. The hospitality is really good. I highly recommend this Hotel Garuda if you visit Pelling and also try to book room number 18 or 19 for a great view of Kanchenjunga from the room. I am sure to stay here again when I visit next :-)

This Hotel was beautiful, and the hospitality is much more beautiful. Hotel staff was happy because after a long time someone came from Madhya Pradesh, last time someone from Raipur had came, it means when Chattisgarh was a part of Madhya Pradesh, they greet us in good manner. Hotel is itself very amazing. We could see tibetan culture in there, library is also there. With rooms lobby and food is also good. I came to know about Buddhism and with that I could learn about the similarity between Buddhism and Hinduism which I cannot cam to know anywhere else. At the check-out time some tibetian style clothes they gave me, I do not know the name of that, but cannot express the feeling. Hotel is looking like a museum, there are some of the thing which is so unique. Over all 10 on 10 only negative thing is that I could not spent there much days, whenever I get a chance I will came to Pelling again and will stay in this Hotel Garuda again. * This is a translation of the submitted review.
Excellent Hotel Garuda very nice. I want to stay in this Hotel Garuda whenever I come pelling.

Location of Hotel Garuda is fantastic, could see Kanchenjunga mountain range from the room, provided weather is good. I have not expected to get such beautiful placed room in a budget Hotel Garuda. We have stayed for 2 nights, Room was clean and spacious. Toilet is also clean. The owner and the staff are very much co-operative and helpful. Service quality is moderate, not very sophisticated yet has a personal touch more like home stay. Food quality is also pretty good and within budget in comparison with other available options. But there are only limited options available in menu. This Hotel Garuda does not have any WiFi facility. Anyway I have not also expected that in a budget Hotel Garuda that also in a location like piling. Location of Hotel Garuda otherwise also in a very convenient place, local market and one SBI ATM both facilities are available at walking distance. Overall experience especially keeping in mind low price of room is very good, would love to stay in this Hotel Garuda again would also recommend others to explore this Hotel Garuda.

Location is just at the taxi stand. Mr. And Mrs. Wangdi is too good person. Rooms are very good. Most of all foods are very good in quality and quantity also. Service is good by Vaichung. Tour also conducted by the Hotel Garuda authorities. Most important thing is POS System. In this time with a lot of cash problem, POS System helps us to conduct our tour to Chardham, Rabongla and sight seeing through debit card. Overall I highly recommend this Hotel Garuda to stay. If I'll visit Pelling again I obviously will stay at Garuda. Rather than 101 times out of 100.

Luxurious stay at basic price. All amenities guaranteed were as promised and service was top-notch. As the Hotel Garuda was devoid of many tourists due to peak season, the manager upgraded our stay to the suite rooms at no additional cost. The food was of good taste and the location was in the prime region of Pelling The front facing rooms had glass-pane laden walls on the front side to view Kanchenjungha's ethereal beauty. Literally, watching the Sunkist peaks from the bed itself felt like flying in the wings of the mythical bird Garuda.

Great Hotel. Great staffs. Good food. Clean and big rooms. Clean blanket. Reasonable rate. Exactly at upper Pelling taxi stand. The Hotel is located at prime location in upper Pelling. Restaurant food quality is good. View of mt. Kanchenjunga from room is awesome. And lastly behavior of everyone was very warm and awesome. As per tariff room was very good, bathroom was clean. Good Hotel for family. When ever I go back to Pelling, I will prefer this Hotel. Cons Slow food service as they make everything from scratch No WiFi.

Rooms were big, clean and with great views. Foods were tasty, hot and well prepared. The hosts were warm too. For dinner we had rice, roti, dal, all that, a mixed vegetable with paneer, chicken and pickle, onions. For breakfast we had all paratha and omelet packed with pickle and tea with biscuits served. I especially requested to have the breakfast packed as I had plans to start early. Overall flawless but the price could've been less.

I along with my family of 6 persons with a kid stayed for two nights. Location wise the Hotel Garuda is excellent. But there is only few rooms from where Mt. Kanchenjunga is visible. The owner and the staff are very much co-operative and helpful. Food was nice but too much expensive. But the rooms are very cheap as compared to location and cleanliness. Overall I had a pleasant stay in the Hotel Garuda. And would recommend others also.

View from the room was the best part. Location was great closer to many restaurants. Had a good stay.

Rate is slight high. But good. Location is very good

I travel with family including 1 and 3 months baby. The Hotel Garuda staffs were vary much familiar. They fulfill the demand as and when required by us. They made special boiled food for my baby.

Hotel Garuda is located at upper Peling, opposite the taxi stand. It is run by a philanthropist family. Kanchenjunga visible from almost all the rooms. Water heater is available in the toilet. Room heater is available at an extra cost. Low spicy, nice food is added attraction. Probably the best place for a family at Pelling.

Food was good, Room was clean, blankets were smelly, washroom was dirty, no room heater, you have to pay extra for that, very small room.
