Hotel Gnanam

Hotel gnanam is very well located Hotel Gnanam, right opposite the old bus stand and less than 15 comfortable walk to the thanjavur big temple. Check in was smooth and since they follow 24 check in rule, we got our room immediately at 9 am. Rooms are neat and clean. Hotel is old and that shows in the furnishings and bathrooms. They can do with some repairs. The location was good as our purpose of the trip was to visit the big temple-just a 15 minutes walk from the Hotel Gnanam. Had breakfast at the Hotel Gnanam and it was tasty. The housekeeping staff and the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful and were always there to take care of all requests. There was ample parking space and we could park our traveller van without any hassle inside the compound. The Hotel Gnanam is located very close to the thanjavur old bus stand and you can find tiffin or coffee at any time of the day if you go to the bus stand. Neatly maintained, though it is an old property.

I stayed with my family for 1 night. The Hotel Gnanam has an old worldly charm, yet it does not look worn out. The Hotel Gnanam premises are clean and have automated hand sanitizer dispenser. The room was clean and welcoming when i checked in. The room was spacious to fit 3 adults, i had ordered an additional bed. But the room was spacious. The room could use an upgrade to have multiple charging points to help travellers. My booking had a complimentary breakfast, the food was tasty and restaurant staff are very nice. The staff at the reception are also very attentive about travellers needs.

Hotel gnanam makes you feel welcome from the entry gate all the way to the room. The Hotel Gnanam has very professional staff who offer excellent services leaving you happy all the way. The Hotel Gnanam itself has been updated to keep up with the latest demands / needs of the market. You get the impression that you are staying at a premium Hotel Gnanam when you are here. Things i liked the most are the anti-skid mats in the shower, morning newspaper and breakfast buffet. There's adequate parking for 15+cars with the Hotel Gnanam compound and the big temple is just a 5-min walk away.

The gnaam is a best option at thanjavur based on its location, food quality, room cleanliness and other facilities. They have 2 restaurants both veg and non veg and a bar. A complete package to satisfy any customer. In the toileteries they have even provided face powder. Morning you get a newspaper at your room. I havent seen this level of service even in some reputed brands. Cost effective & quality, remarkable. All the staff are very polite and eager to help us. Gnanam will be my first choice.

If you are visiting thanjavur with an aim to visit thanjavur big temple and maybe the thanjavur palace, then this Hotel Gnanam is a great option for stay. Both of them are around 1 km away from the Hotel Gnanam. We easily walked to them. The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. They also have two attached restaurants; one veg only and the other is bar cum non veg restaurant l. You can also order their food to your room. Decent amount of car parking is also there.

Pros rooms - clean & neat, with adequate space amenities - do not have wallet parking for cars proximity- located near thanjavur bus stand and walkable to thanjavur periya kovil safety - security round the clock cons - can be improved food availability during the afternoon is not available between 3:30 to 4:30. It was a software failure during my stay, and depended on housekeeping to open the doors. Digital payment is not available for room service. Overall rating - 3. 5/5

Hotel is very clean and hygiene. Hotel rooms are also good and well maintained. Only beds looks bit old but okay for us. Hotel is in a strategic location and easy access to all important places. Hotel staffs are very polite and helpful. Food quality in restaurant is good but bit costly. Buffet breakfast is also good. Travel desk arranged taxi for navagaraha temple visit, arrangement was good, only some confusion was on negotiated price. Overall we had good experience.

Location is excellent. Very near to big temple. Old property. Though neatly maintained, furniture and rooms need upgrade. Complimentary breakfast spread limited to south indian dishes. Quality is average. Meals and briyani served during lunch was good in taste and quantity.

Stay was very good. Restaurant, room service are all good. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory. Definitely will stay here again, and will recommend to others. The bathroom outs were in such a way that it is not sound proof from neighboring room's bathroom. Otherwise, everything was good.

Gnanam is a very decent stay at tanjore. The rooms are simple but can be maintained with a bit more care in terms of cleanliness. The service is prompt. The complementary breakfast was good. It was a nice stay overall.

Nice Hotel Gnanam. All amenities are neat and clean. Centrally located in thanjavur. Try this Hotel Gnanam if you are visiting thanjavur. It is only after landing here that i came to know that it is to be s pelt as ganam.
