Hotel Golden Palace

Location is excellent, right on the beach front of golden beach / blue flag beach. Unlike the main beachfront, this part doesn't have a heavy traffic road running in front of the Hotel Golden Palaces, so the sea front balconies way more calm and serene. There's a nominal entry fee for this beach but that's exactly what keeps it far less crowded than the main beach. No vendors are allowed, so no trash; plus it's cleaned at least 3-4 times a day, has cctv coverage - so the beach is impeccably clean. The Hotel Golden Palace front desk offers two beach access passes (single entry, for max 3 hours) per day per room. Breakfast is just about okay, wish there were more options for fresh fruits and the continental spread. Having only papaya and guava for fresh fruits 4 days of our trip doesn't work very well. The rooms are well appointed, but they use some really old bed linen and towels at times. Overall, it's no mayfair but generally a good value for money option on a clean sparsely crowded beach.

Great location. Good food and staff. Hotel is slightly old but they are trying to keep up with the renovations. Overall a great place to stay in puri. Everyone has a smile on their face and makes you feel welcome. Stayed there for 3 days and the breakfast spread was decent and everything was fresh. Lunch and dinner (a la carte) is worth it. Thank you golden palace for making our stay memorable. Achintya, abhijit, radha, manish, sujit from the restaurant deserves a special mention as they went an extra mile to provide us the best dining experience all 3 days. It is a paid beach however Hotel Golden Palace will provide free tickets to enter the beach. Swargadwar is around 2kms away and transport will cost you rs100 one way. Shree jagannath temple will take around rs150 one way.

This property has fulfilled my all expectations of ideal stay. 1) 5/5 goes for location attached to golden beach, it's the most beautiful experience to wake up with sea view, waves sound, and cool breeze. Definitely go for sea view rooms. 2) rooms were quite spacious with all basic amenities. 3) food was upto the mark. Quantity and taste were both satisfying. Definitely go for breakfast buffet. 4) gym and swimming pool is well maintained. 5) room service and house keeping services were good but quite slow. Had to call 3-4 times to get a work done. 6) 10 mins distance from the main market and shri jagannath temple. Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely choose this Hotel Golden Palace in future.

Hotel golden coast was beautifully located with very easy access to a less crowded and family friendly beach and also less than 2 kilometres from the puri jagannath mandir. The rooms were big and clean, especially the sea-view ones offered a direct view of the sea and one can enjoy the beautiful view and sound of waves from their balconies. The food menu was widespread and delicious. However the service was a bit slow, so i recommend guests to order in advance. Overall it was a very pleasant family vacation stay.

Had booked the Hotel Golden Palace for my parents. Appreciate that the Hotel Golden Palace provided an early check-in at 6 am so that my parents could use the room after overnight train travel from calcutta. The Hotel Golden Palace has a good location and had a good breakfast spread, though the rooms are now aged and need maintenance. The basic amenities like kettle, tv weren't working when they checked in but were fixed promptly. Overall, a good stay and would recommend at this budget.

The location is next to golden beach so the advantage of enjoying in the beach is absolutely great. The property is clean and tidy with prompt service. We ordered jain food and the taste was very nice. Ours was a pool view room which has no balcony. Drying clothes was an issue. Sea facing room has balcony. We felt the property was slightly costly looking into the room size. Extra bed is just a mattress placed on the floor. Swimming pool was good and enjoyable overall it was good.

Location is right on beach. Good, big rooms. Excellent food and staff service at the restaurant. Housekeeping + room service needs lot of improvement. Mostly non responsive or delayed. Non functioning electric kettle in room didn't get replaced. Note : don't try to find the Hotel Golden Palace via google map, which shows wrong location. Its straight on road towards beach after subhash chowk.

Very nice & pleasant experience. The location of the Hotel Golden Palace, room service & food was really outstanding. One of the best Hotel Golden Palaces in puri to stay in but book only sea facing rooms. Don't book presidential suits because they are not in good condition & not up to satisfaction. Front sea facing rooms are very spacious & comfortable.

Pros: great sea view, location just next to golden beach, great food, cooperative staff, great cafe. Cons: costly, construction is little old and can be maintained better compare to what we pay.

Location is wonderful. Overall stay in the Hotel Golden Palace is very good. Staffs are cordial. Food was below average.
