Hotel Golden Sand

This trip to Velankanni was really peaceful. As usual we stayed at Golden Sand it brings nostalgic memories to my mind. When we were kids our parents used to book Golden sand only. Before only rooms above and opposite to the main block used to be. Now there are more blocks and rooms in Golden Sand. This year we went during Diwali holidays there was not much rush. We had booked our stay we requested for early check in and being a rainy cool season we booked non-ac room. the charges were affordable. the rooms were clean and spacious seeing us as 3adults they provided us with extra bed without any extra charge. They have fish land restaurant inside the vicinity but this time the master cook was on diwali vacation so no service was there. Last year we had our lunch and dinner there -chinese and italian was my songs choice I had chettinard food - the taste was awesome and spicy. Room service is available. Stay at Golden Sand is highly nostalgic and we keep coming here for the past 30 years

I had booked 2 triple bed rooms for my family. Rooms were neat and with nice ambience. 24 hrs hot water was available. And it was definitely required after a tiring train trip plus walking across the shrine. Location of the Hotel Golden Sand is great next to the bus stand and walking distance from the shrine. We had complimentary breakfast included which was really awesome. Just one concern we were served coffee in the morning in our rooms which was charged. If breakfast was complimentary why was it charged (anyways since it was a great coffee we didn't complain about it. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely visit again

We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Golden Sand Velankanni. Every staff member we encountered, from the reception to the check- in were delightful and eager to help. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The Hotel Golden Sand is conveniently located near the bus stop just a few minutes walking distance to Main Church. The breakfast was healthy and delicious the kids really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this Hotel Golden Sand

We stayed here for two nights, below are pros and cons pros. 1. Location close to basilica church and morning star church. 2. Good car parking 3. Supportive and gentle staff 4. Good restaurants cons: 1. The bathroom flush was not working well. 2. There is no electric kettle 3. Bed linen was pathetic quality, used a lot and needs replacement. 4. Keep a lot of change notes, you will have to tip everyone

We were greeted nicely and fresh-ed up after having hot water bath on our arrival. It was really nice and refreshing. And of-course it was reasonable price and the location too was good. Thou we stayed just for a few hours. We really had a comfortable stay and could really relax. Thanks sorry don't have any photos in the Hotel Golden Sand

It is very near to the church bus stand and railway station you can go anywhere easily more over no need to search Hotel Golden Sand outside one restaurant also there inside available food for reasonable price. But one suggestion is that you may consider little lesser room rent. Otherwise okay.

The toilet was having problems with the flush and the faucet. Faucet was replaced on the second day of check in. The flush kept on showing repeated problems. The toilet cleanliness need to be improved. Over all stay was fine. Issue of language with some of the staff. Other than that no issues.

Hotel golden sands remains my favorite Hotel Golden Sand to stay in velankani. It offers complete value for money and most importantly the feeling of being in a homely environment. They have an excellent kerala restaurant and very reasonable rates. Coming back again and soon.

Walkable distance to church and room also good and clean. staff behaviour also good overall good stay I loved it

Location:it is very near to church. So it is convenient. Food is also very good. Very safe place. Staff also very good manner co operate with us. Very hygienic place.

Stay was good but worst staff at reception we called the Hotel Golden Sand before booking and checked about early check in and they agreed over the phone but once we reach stay they told it’s not allowed and we have been asked to wait for 30 min

A nice place to stay with family. the food and stay both are good to compliment. It's is close to the market, church and the beach.
