Hotel Green Park

This time I've chosen to stay at this Hotel Green Park after having gone thru' travellers' review of this Hotel Green Park. The Hotel Green Park is located just about 1 km from the busiest point of the lake area. This Hotel Green Park is surrounded by a few more Hotel Green Parks. The Hotel Green Park has a restaurant (Sunshine) in the downstairs which most of the people won't prefer. I had stayed for two nights with my family in a family suite (two rooms with four beds for four adult occupants and for a family exceeding four you have got to pay for extra bed which may come about Rs. 480 per night during off season) and had my dinner with my family in the downstairs restaurant on the first day. The food was average but had to wait for a long time. I happened to see a couple of families cancelling their orders after a long wait. ( If the Hotel Green Park has a roof top restaurant, the visitors would certainly have enjoyed the weather and the surrounding and a long wait won't be a boring affair). Having food from this restaurant won't certainly give you a pleasant experience and hence I would suggest taking food from Hotel Green Parks like hilltop woodland or Astoria or punjabi dhaba situated at prime location of the town (near bus-stand) as alternatively we don't have worthy family restaurants around this Hotel Green Park which we could suggest. Hence before reaching this Hotel Green Park at night, have your dinner from the aforesaid Hotel Green Parks. Apart from this, the Hotel Green Park is neatly maintained. The bathroom is kept clean and I could find nothing unpleasant about the room where we stayed. The Hotel Green Park has a small parking area in the front yard. The manager whom I met is co-operative and responsive. I don't find any drawback other-than its restaurant. I have posted a few photos of the Hotel Green Park which would be the tell-tale of what I have reviewed above. This time I have booked the room through MakeMyTrip online. The booking experience through Makemytrip is so simple and hassle free and the tariff they offered is quite reasonable compared to other agencies.

It was a pleasure trip with my family and we opted Hotel Green Park Kodaikanal for our stay. Right from the entrance(reception) till the check out, everything was awesome. Hassle free check in, and we requested for rooms next to each other which was accommodated. Rooms: 1. Cleanliness: One room was ready before we arrive & the other was getting ready but it doesn't took not more than 15 mins. Both the rooms are extremely clean in all aspects with basic amenities. They even switched on hot water for us though it was out of their scheduled time frame. 2. Room boy/ room service: We have absolutely no issues with our room boy, in fact he is for all rooms. His dedication, willingness to help us was amazing. His name is Vadivel. I don't know the name of the receptionist. Restaurant: Sunshine restaurant (Veg & Non-veg). 1. Mr. Muttiah had taken care & served us very well. Although the food quality was very good, it is far better than what we get in my city(Chennai) at times. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The Hotel Green Park has free WiFi for all its customer which is excellent and the WiFi was having decent speed. My dad was fully benefited from that for his official work. They also arranged for sightseeing tour with Mr. Kadamban(cab driver) who was very informative, efficient and friendly. They arranged for drop up to Madurai from Kodaikanal. That trip was also fantastic The only drawback is the location, it is bit away from the main junction (seven road) but you can be in peaceful and calm atmosphere. And please change your advertisement regarding your restaurant as not a pure veg. Overall it was a an excellent stay. I strongly recommend to people who wish to go to Kodaikanal.

Just 5 min walk from Lake, do not compare or expect like sterling or etc. Its a budgetary Hotel Green Park and my feeling is worth. If you choose hill station either you spend more time in sightseeing and outdoor or Honeymoon. Definitely not recommended for Honeymoon couple since absolutely no activity there and no view from any of the room. Lot of Hotel Green Parks near by starting from Jain food to Non Veg. Ample car park, rooms are spacious easily 3 people can accommodate. Hot water available on timing basis. Lake and Chettiyar park just walk away distance. I took this decision, enjoyed in Kodai everywhere and came to take only for rest. Try it once also they are having one restaurant in basement which is good taste and worth.

Room I booked ie, Standard room is not at all meant for family. There is no ventilation. So I requested the owner to allow me to change the room with a more brethee room. He accepted my request and with a charge of Rs. 300/- per day allowed me to check in super deluxe room which was a superb room. I request MMT to mention that the standard room has no ventilation at all in description part so that family booking will think twice before booking a condition that I faced. Rest all in class one.

Friendly service. Very good food for moderate price. Prompt room service. Car parking facility. 24x7 hot drinking water, hot water for Bath between 7AM and 9AM and 6PM and 7PM. All important places like Park, Lake and the town within walking distance - Hotel Greenpark has all these and hence an ideal choice of stay for the tourist couples, families and individuals visiting Kodaikanal! Only inconvenience is that, the check-out time is at 10AM irrespective of whenever you check-in.

Pros: - Rooms were neat and clean and spacious. - Good hot water facility though unrestricted but not a problem. - Reasonable parking facility. - Good location. - Drinking Hot Water facility (dispenser). - Friendly staff. Cons: - Bed was too small for 2 well-built adults. - Restaurant serves pathetic food and service is also not good. But you have other options closer to the Hotel Green Park so not an issue. Overall, it was value for money and not a bad option.

Kodaikanal is a safest place for couple... And no police problem... We stay at Hotel Green Park green park.. Service was very good.. And safe.. We enjoyed 3 days trip... Hotel room is value for money.. Room is very cooling without AC.. Water is very cooling... Hot water for drink.. Is available at reception.. For bathing morning and eve 2 hours available... It's comfortable.. Totally Hotel Green Park is nice.. Kodaikanal is good.. Our trip was awesome.

We enjoyed the trip.. One of the safe & finest Hotel Green Park in Kodaikanal.. Must visit Hotel Green Park with family and friends. Very convenient even if you went to Kodaikanal by bus and it is very accessible. Take some good taxis and roam where ever you want. Maximum we can spend 2 to 3 days to visit all the places. If it is well planned the we can cover all the places on 2 days itself. More over the Hotel Green Park room cost is very economic.

Extra to be paid at counter" was not anticipated. It was mentioned in the booking confirmation. But normally it is collected along with the rent. The attached restaurant is not in par with the Hotel Green Park's standard.

Very close to Kodaikanal lake and all the basic shops are accessible. Hotel is neat and Good . Overall it was a happy stay.

Good rooms located at the heart of the town with good service. Nice staying experience. Perfect for middle class people, without punching a hole in the pocket. Did not try the Hotel Green Park for eating though as we had plans to dine outside.

Property located near to lake. Rooms are spacious with clean bathrooms. Hot water available only two times a day. Staff are really polite & friendly. Parking is available. Personally i love this stay.

Worth value for money. Easy access to near sight seeing. Rooms are very nice and spacious good garden near by if you wish to walk around and relax in the evening.. Food quality was nice and at a reasonable price would completely recommend to stay.

Location is nearest to important places, than service is good. Safe for family members. Reception and H/K Person behave is nice, travel car Arrangement than Driver behave also nice. Only hot water timing only increase so good.

The rooms are clean and neat. Very peaceful environment to stay. Only drawback in this Hotel Green Park hot water came at 6. 30 am to 8. 30 am

Location is very good, five minutes walking distance from Kodaikanal lake. Main problem is that hot water is not available for 24hrs, except that it is available from 7 to 9 in the morning and 6 to 7 in the afternoon. Except this everything is fine, room service is good also.

Room and room service is good. In Hotel Green Park is near by lake. And the Hotel Green Park down area one restaurant is there all foods are good but it took some times to prepare. Hotel is very clean and nearby locations there are many shops to buy other things. If your come with family make comfortable to this Hotel Green Park.

We missed some view points due to rain and heavy fog.
The Hotel Green Park is located just on a very busy road, gets noisy at times. Apart from this all went fine. The staff were helpful in all aspects. A good experience. Definitely thumbs up and would recommend.

Rooms are well furnished, hygenic and have a vast toilet area. There is hot water available only for 1 hr in bathroom. 24 hrs hot water available on varantha. A small reasturant with all kinds foods on demand is available. In short a good stay with a reasonable rate

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Green Park Green Park Kodaikanal. Rooms are spacious neat and clean. Being a hill station It is better if hot water is provided throughout the day. In fine we had a wonderful experience.
