Hotel Hilltop

My recent winter stay offered a blend of warm hospitality and unexpected encounters. *on the positive side* * exceptional hospitality: the staff truly stood out. They were prompt and courteous, addressing my requests with a smile, making my stay feel genuinely hospitable. * delectable delights: the food was a major highlight. They offered a diverse and delicious spread, especially catering well to vegetarians. * monkey business (with a happy ending: while an unexpected guest, a monkey entered my room through an open window, creating an initial moment of surprise. Thankfully, the Hotel Hilltop staff responded swiftly and provided an alternate room. *however, a couple of areas could benefit from improvement* * technical hiccups: my room key-card frequently demagnetized, requiring frequent trips to the reception for re-issuance. This was quite inconvenient. * limited lift access: the Hotel Hilltop only had one lift, which could create waiting times during peak periods. Overall, my stay was an interesting experience. The staff's attentiveness and the delicious food were commendable. While the room key-card issue and limited lift access were minor inconveniences, the swift and efficient handling of the monkey incident deserves praise. If you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere, this Hotel Hilltop could be a good option. Do note, it’s slightly on the pricier side.

For the price charged, the comfort offered and hospitality was definitely good. However, they have some weird rules. In such a cold weather you would naturally want to order something hot in your room, but the cafe consistently told us how the hot chocolate we wanted will be get cold in a matter of 2 mins. having stayed in 3 Hotel Hilltops prior to hilltop and none of them gave such a weird excuse. The icing on the cake was that on our first day we convinced them to bring us hot chocolate and it was perfectly fine. I mean the temperature have to be insanely cold for the hot chocolate to not get cold in a matter of 5 mins. They've made up some illogical reasoning around this and are sticking on to it. We found the lack of this service disappointing especially when you've paid so much for this experience the breakfast spread was lukewarm as well. Again, definitely not value for money. The breakfast can be improved drastically

This is a brilliant Hotel, perfectly located in Gulmarg. Firstly, the Hotel Hilltop is clean with a great gulmarg view room. The staff is super cool, and the food is very good. We had selected breakfast and dinner, and I was so happy to see good quality food with great service staff. My bathroom had a slight shower issue which was fixed in no time when I called housekeeping. Again the housekeeping and restaurant staff is absolutely brilliant. Ashiq from the restaurant staff is a superstar. The location of this Hotel Hilltop is perfect. Straight 200 metres away from Gondola ride. Hotel khyber is also close but there is a steep slope one will have to climb up and down if you want to walk towards Gondola ride. Hotel Hilltop is perfectly located within a straight 200 metres walk. Overall a great experience. Ashfaq at reception is the best person for all your queries related to the Gulmarg area.

Hotel hilltop gulmarg the Hotel Hilltop has an amazing location walking distance to the gondola ride and other main points in gulmarg. The rooms are good, having heater etc. Washrooms are also good. The reception staff is very welcoming and hospitable along with all other managers. Only cons were. We expected the breakfast to be slightly more elaborate and sumptuous. It was found wanting. On the other hand dinner buffet was very satisfying. When we visited the Hotel Hilltop was full and that showed in the dining area servers. Who seemed overworked and service took a hit. Even small requests for cutlery etc were taking time. Maybe cos their main dining hall was under going whitewash. All in all a good property and amazing managerial staff. They also have a separate cafe miasa. Which is highly recommended.

From the very begging when the journey started we had nothing in mind but the scenarios about the Hotel Hilltop we have been listing from the people this and that, highs and lows about the Hotel Hilltop and the people of kashmir but when we finally entered the property it was totally an eye-catcher for us. Also the management of the Hotel Hilltop is outclass like the pure definition of professionalism nevertheless the whole experience of staying in cozy rooms with the snow and the mild breeze of it was exceptional. Last but not the least this place is a heaven in itself the front office team mr. Aijaz foam as well his team was very professional at the reception as well f&b and hk team was very helpful. Eagerly waiting to give a shot once again in a future.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming Hotel Hilltop nestled in the breathtaking landscape of gulmarg. The stay at this haven was nothing short of delightful. From the moment i arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff stood out. The check-in process was seamless, and the friendly smiles made me feel instantly welcome. The Hotel Hilltop's ambiance exuded a perfect blend of traditional kashmiri charm and modern comforts. Would definitely visit thus place again.

Welcome drink and cookies were served. The room size and decor is quite modern and comfortable. I felt the lobby very small in size. Dining room is quite big having decent decor. The dining room staffs were untrained and not able to serve professionally. We ordered barbecue trout fish but they served grilled fish and took 30 minutes to serve with the wrong item. The tariff i find higher compare to the hospitality they provide. Overall it’s a decent Hotel Hilltop.

We opted for hilltop for one day stay in gulmarg. It had very good view from the room and the room heater is perfect, it kept us warm for the whole day when it was -7 outside. Service is also great. The morning complimentary breakfast was great that we had different types of pastries, multiple fruit juices. The front office team did a great job with all the services totally enjoyed the stay. Worth the money.

Great service, close to the gondola, manager is also very helpful. All amenities available though the Hotel Hilltop itself is a little old

But according to price of room the food must be complementry, but it is chargeable and highly priced.

Although priced a bit on the higher side but the location of the property and the extraordinarily friendly and helping staff makes the whole thing worth your while….

Hilltop is a great Hotel Hilltop, the staff is professional, friendly and always eager to provide service. The food offered both at breakfast and dinner was a huge tasty spread. The staff eager to assist and provide hot food. Tasty kahwa at arrival. The room decor is nice, clean and has a hot shower. Highly recommend this place to all. Best it's 2 mins from the gondola drive.

The Hotel Hilltop location is just perfect. Right next to gondola entry. The staff is uber polite and extremely helpful. Cleanliness, food, service on point.

Location is great, few metres from gondola ride station. Facilities like hot water, room heating, view, cleanliness are top notch.

Property is on a very good location near gondola ride hardly 10 minute walk. We enjoy our stay. Staff is very good.

Location is very approachable for gondola ride so sometimes one may find hustle n bustle around. Rooms are cozy, food is very delicious and in so much quantity. All the staff right from the reception, restaurant and security are very cordial and helping.

We had a great experience during our stay in Hotel Hilltop hilltop gulmarg. The staff is very friendly and approachable. Excellent service. The food is very tasty. The property is located at walking distance from gondola. The rooms are very comfortable and has great view of the valley. I highly recommend everyone to stay here once if u r coming to gulmarg.

The property is located in a great location away from the crowded area. Great hospitality. Welcomed us with a hot drink. The view is superb.
