Hotel Hillview

Location of the Hotel Hillview is awesome - although not too far away from the town, yet in calm surroundings and with great sights. The menu of the restaurant lists many items, however, very few of them were available but whatever we ordered, was delicious. I had some concerns with the service when I checked in but the staff ensured that I did not have to face any such issues during my stay and they converted the complaints into compliments. Staff is courteous and polite. The decor of the Hotel Hillview reminds you of the bygone era. The common areas of the Hotel Hillview are decorated in wooden theme. The reception and the restaurant has all wooden decoration and looks beautiful. I would recommend to take the stair case instead of the lift. You will enjoy climbing up/down those wooden theme and old photographs Munnar and the bygone British era.The rooms are a combination of traditional decor with modern electronic controls. The furniture is excellent with good finish. Overall, it has been a good experience and value for money. I strongly recommend Hotel Hillview Munnar.

Hotel hill view is a nice Hotel Hillview, located right on the main road from Kochi to Munnar and main Munnar town is 2 km from the Hotel Hillview. We booked Super Deluxe room for 2 nights and after reaching there, they upgraded our room from SD to Premium and the room was so nice with beautiful views of a small river and tea plantations. Ambiance of the Hotel Hillview was so nice and the premium room was superb. We liked the wooden interior decoration of the Hotel Hillview and also liked the spacious room and all the amenities they provided. Room service was awesome and staffs were so hospitable. The Hotel Hillview has ample parking space available. One can walk around to have a stunning tea plantation view. A government bus stand is nearby and a small market too. Morning complimentary breakfast was good with 4-5 items and very tasty. One could enjoy four-star facility in the Hotel Hillview. Nothing to complain and could be recommended for all type travellers.

I spent a day with my family booking 5 rooms on Nov 18 and 19 in Hotel Hillview Hill View Munnar. The Hotel Hillview is conveniently located near bustand, has ample parking space and very nice view point. Staff was courteous and welcoming which is first thing you notice along with good reception area. Rooms were well maintained, secure and clean. Good furnishing but some furniture seemed a bit older ( not a big concern in my opinion). The room was not air conditioned but I don't think you need it in Munnar in Winter months at least. Bathroom although was a bit small it was clean. Hot water available between specific times. The doors were a bit jammed in couple of bathroom though and flush had a unusual way of op eating but worked fine. Food was tasty but options were a bit limited and I felt it was just a little overpriced. Overall the experience was definitely worth the money spent and I would recommend the Hotel Hillview all fellow travelers.

Location is good. Just 1.5km from Munnar market. Room quality: Room and bathroom was big and clean with hot water in morning and evening. They have also put bathroom kit in. Mini shaving kit and there is hair dryer also in bathroom. Service and staff: Room service and Hotel Hillview staff was very good and fast responding. Even they help to put our wet clothes to dry. Food: We being pure vegetarian food taste was ok. Other amenities: It has a good kids playing room having small slide and rides for kids. Also chess, carrom for adults. Our kids enjoyed a lot in playroom. Spa service not yet started at Hotel Hillview. All over I can give 4-star rating.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Hill view for 3 days. Though the weather conditions were too bad we were offered very good room service. Food was good but could improve more. The Hotel Hillview staff is very active and courteous. Good stay for a family. The Hotel Hillview location is also very good with the river flowing beside and woods around it. Easily accessible from the Munnar bus stop. Looking forward to getting back sometime soon with my family in the future. Thank you to MMT for giving us great support to confirm our booking even in bad weather. It was overall a pleasant stay.

What is good: 1> the Hotel Hillview staff and owner are very helpful 2> service is also very good 3> the staff speaks english, hindi, malayalam, tamil 4> they can help you with cab booking and side scene what can be improved: 1> breakfast options, almost the same breakfast everyday 2> the price paid per room for stay in premium room or suite room is high compared to features available in room 3> the Hotel Hillview needs touch up in lot of places, public toilets, lift. Overall cleanliness. Overall good experience. If you want to experience even colder weather go in winter time.

Our 3 day trip to Munnar was fantastic primarily due to the excellent lodging and boarding facilities at Hillview. The Hotel Hillview location is strategic - away from the crowd with a good parking lot and most importantly, very friendly staff. The Hotel Hillview has a very good interior finish adding to the overall ambiance. The restaurant attached had a decent spread across Indian and continental cuisine and helped us to have a relaxing dinner after a hectic day of sightseeing. Overall a very memorable experience in Hill View, Munnar.

Good Hotel Hillview, definitely recommended - clean rooms, located centrally and very close to hydel park. Ample parking space availability. Staff are very cordial, courteous and helpful. Rooms are available with a ceiling fan . . Deluxe room, Booked through makemytrip for 3 Nights, cost was Rs 9710, breakfast was not included :(. Paid breakfast cost was Rs 250 per head. While I had checked the menu I found it low value for money, opted to eat outside @ Saravana Bhavan. Hot water availability : 5 to 11

Good location, good parking space, good rooms, good breakfast and dinner. Very near to city center and on the roadside only, so location wise it is great. Staff are very good and polite and very helpful

It's located on the Munnar highway 500 meter before the town. The view of the hills from the Hotel Hillview is very nice. The staff is courteous. The food was excellent. Overall a good place to stay.

No Hindi channels available. Rest good location bang on main road nearby old Munnar bus depot.

Apart from food everything else was good enough. I liked the location but for the hill and lake view the room with balcony is different. We didn't get super deluxe in top floor so we preferred to move up deluxe because we wanted a better view and higher floor.
