Location- good Food- good but slow service Room - worst with cockroaches inside electric water kettle, washroom had a foul smell throughout the stay

All the views which is shown at the time of booking was not available. The terrace was totally mess you van not even walk over there. The freeze was kept on the floor they were not having a self for that Average experience

Amazing hotel, excellent location, cordial staff and beautiful views.

I stayed at Hotel Ishan – A Riverside Retreat by Salvus in Tapovan, Rishikesh, for three nights. The hotel has some strong points, but there are also areas that need improvement. What I liked: • The location is excellent — just a short walk from Laxman Jhula and very close to the banks of the Ganga. You can enjoy nice river views (from certain rooms) and have easy access to local cafes and attractions. • The staff are polite and generally helpful. During my stay, they assisted with arranging local transport and answered queries promptly. • Rooms are clean and comfortable in many cases, with basic amenities like air conditioning, private bathrooms, and complimentary toiletries. • The hotel’s in-house restaurant / café (Arches) offers a pleasant dining experience with a mix of local and international cuisine. What could be better: • Inconsistency in room quality: Some rooms did not match expectations (e.g. river view rooms without proper view, rooms under maintenance). • Maintenance issues: A few guests mentioned malfunctioning AC units, faulty door locks or windows, and worn-out fixtures in bathrooms. • Cleanliness & deep cleaning: While daily cleaning is generally adequate, some spots (especially bathroom tile joints or corners) appeared neglected. • WiFi / connectivity problems: Several guests reported weak or intermittent WiFi, which was frustrating given the price point. • Parking & access challenges: The property doesn’t have strong on-site parking; the access road is narrow, and moving luggage from the parking area to the rooms was cumbersome.  • Value for money: Some guests felt the rates were on the higher side considering the inconsistencies in service and facilities.

My stay was pleasant and I love the property, the view from my room, food was really nice. Staff are very helpful and provide great customer service. Definitely coming back here again.

Property does not have a suitable parking . The luggage service is not available till the parking point and the hotel refused to provide the same. Someone with a reasonable amount of luggage will face difficulty. The property looked to be under renovation hence could not be acessed for views

average food taste, average room service and poor rooms. river view was good, no parking in hotel but refund parking fee. tv was not working and they couldnt fix it.

rooms do not provide any river view as claimed, many obstruction ahead of window/balcony. booked 2 rooms and both rooms alloted were in different part of hotels altogether, reason given that many rooms are under maintenance. poor electrical and water faucet fittings, room walls chipping off with humid smell.

Stay was good, but food can be improved. Location is good

The hotel is located at very prime location and is very spacious.The view from hotel gives you a very peaceful and vibrant vibes as it is located near Laxman jhula and ganga river flows down . The staff member Manoj Rana is very very helpful and courteous he helped us with all our queries and service was top notch

The experience was very good plus the rooms were nice and staff are polite.

The hotel provided no assistance to get to the property. I was at the property by 4pm but I got my room allocated at 8pm which was not even as the same category. the reason for delay was the room that I was to get allocated was sealed by the cops due to a theft of items. the room that was then allocated. We spent another 45 mins to get that changed. There were broken fixtures in the bathroom and cockroachs on the bed. All the videos and pictures have been taken and shared with the hotel. The cleaning lady just walked into the door at 10.45 pm for cleaning without permission. the problems were endless

We were allotted rooms in the 2nd floor, with no lift available. Stairs have been built with inconsistent height causing trouble to climb up and down. One has to walk uphill to get any public transport like autos etc. Rooms are decent, however some bath amenities were missing. Liked the view from the room. Food prices are on the higher side considering the portion size, taste was good.

property is very good. All the staff are very polite and helpful.. The property Location is near tourist places.

the Hotel offers serene view of Ma Ganga. the executive room with private balcony is just a great relaxing fit in the itenary. it offers both the mountain view as well as the river View. there is a boat pickup point at just 100 mtr walkway thus letting you connect the other side of river to the road to swargasharm and parmarth ashram. the hotel staff is very decent and supportive. Manoj Ji ensured that we get whatever we needed to make our stay homely. The cafe is just too good offering delicacies from local to multinational. the grilled sandwich is just out of the world. would give great thumbs-up to this hotel. through the approach road one can walk to nearby taxi stand.

The location is good, but i booked for ganga river facing for superior version but allotted to opposite to it, but i argued on it. Then he allotted for the remaining last two days with an for two days

Traditional indian food choice is less but whatever is available is very tasty. Good and caring staff. On the banks of river ganga.

this is very good ambiance we really appreciated specially Mr Arun Dobhal very co-operate person all members of this hotel doing wonderful job i would like to come here again & again
