A nice heritage hotel by the lake

Noisy - extremely noisy. A million people can wander right up to your room to click selfies, and they do just that. The place is overrun by people clicking selfies, wedding shoots and what not. Spikes are studded on the internal doors as well, so not a safe place for small children. The parapet railings at the terrace level and all the floors are too low, not sure how the hotel ever got a safety rating of any kind. Staff and food were good, and the rooms quirky and nice.

Jagat Niwas Palace, Udaipur is a charming lakeside haveli with stunning views of Lake Pichola. Rooms are elegant with traditional Rajasthani décor, and the rooftop restaurants offer perfect spots for sunset photos. Breakfast is tasty, though overall food is average, but the location near Lal Ghat, Jagdish Temple, and the market makes it ideal for a memorable Udaipur stay. I would recommend the stay with breakfast or high tea, but not otherwise.

Amazing Lake side stay in the old city

One of the best decisions I did was to stay at this place. Amazing place. We took a lake view room. The view was quite literally breathtaking. Rooms are palatial. Bathroom is top notch. Recommend to anyone who can afford the budget.

Extremly disappointed the Niwas is busy serving people coming to click pictures than their own guest we had a 2 day stay 1st day breakfast spread was less than average the quality was too low the rooms were clean but not that like a fivestar 2nd day we ordered eggs in our room that was good but staff is least bothered about the people coming to stay

My room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with all the amenities I could have asked for. The location is perfect—close to major attractions yet peaceful and relaxing. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options at breakfast. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, and the entire property is well-kept and inviting.

The location of the Hotel is absolutely top notch. Hospitality is worth the prize. However there are things where the Hotel must upgrade, especially the breakfast menu . Sometimes the privacy is also hampered, especially early mornings as you can hear the noises from outside and the wedding shoots early morning can be irritable.
