Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful property and had a really good experience. The lanes leading to the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace are narrow but on our arrival up to a certain point they had sent an autorickshaw to pick us up as soon as we called. Jagat niwas is situated beside the lake pichola and offers stunning views especially from its restaurant. The staff is welcoming and their hospitality was on point. We opted for the basic standard room as we had to spend most of our time outdoors and it was simply perfect. The room was super clean, nicely done interiors and just what we wanted out of our stay. On the downside, i feel the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace really needs to work on the restaurant part. The food is below average at its best and the prices are way too high in comparison to the standard of food. Also, the restaurant staff needs to be a little more friendly, didn't like the way one of the staff objected when i wanted my food served on the roof top restaurant instead of the one below. I understand there might be rules, but in the hospitality industry even if you have to say no, there is a way to communicate it to the customer backed by a reason as to why the request cannot be accommodated rather than saying no on the face in a downright rude manner. But overall, this place is worth a visit. Barring the food, we had a top notch experience on every other aspect. Thank u jagat niwas)

Amazing stay at jagat niwas palace Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace. We had booked the heritage lake facing room and the view of the lake pichola from the room was glorious. The room was spacious and tastefully done. The all white common areas of the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace are stunning and insta-worthy on their own. Their restaurant offers stunning views of the lake and the food is great too. We had plans of dining elsewhere but ended up dining in the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace every single day because with the food and the view you would not want to venture out elsewhere. The staff are polite and helpful and always asking if everything is to your liking. The location of the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace is great as it is walking distance to the city palace, jagdish temple, gang-our ghat, bagore ki haveli, chandpole market. You would not however be able to take a car right upto the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace as 4 wheelers are not allowed in the old city premises. But you can either walk the short distance from the chandpole taxi parking point or take a quick auto ride right upto the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace entrance. There are also plenty shopping places right outside the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace. So no matter what kind of traveller you are - if you want to explore or just chill in your room, this is the perfect place. Definitely coming back again!

Car parking is at an obscure location and quite a distance away. The Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace dispatched an auto rickshaw to fetch us from a city location (haathi pole, and our car remained safely parked there for the next 3 days. The fact that we couldn’t get to our car during our entire stay there is a bit of a bother; but i suppose that’s a price you pay for most Hotel Jagat Niwas Palaces located around the lakes in udaipur. That apart, rest of our experience was good! staff is courteous and forthcoming with good advice, rooms were prepared well on arrival and cleaned meticulously every day. Bathroom was well appointed. Room service (e. G. Calling for drinking water) was a bit slower than we’d like. Breakfast was average, nothing too talk home about. Dining experience at their terrace restaurant was just short of horrible, though. We had to reject and leave after the initial bites of starters (non veg platter) we ordered on our first evening there. Cocktails were equally bad. We made it a point to not venture anywhere near their restaurant for all our meals thereafter. Positives: housekeeping and cleanliness all around the property is excellent, with countless photo nooks and vantage points for views of lake pichola!

Negative: third-party food delivery platforms like zomato or swiggy are not allowed, which may inconvenience some guests. Food on-site can be a bit costly. Amenities & services: live santoor playing in the morning, creating a soothing ambiance. Live rajasthan dance and music performances in the evening, adding an authentic touch. Staff members are friendly, helpful, and ensure a pleasant stay. Property maintenance: well-maintained and clean property, reflecting the dedication of the staff. In summary, jagat niwas offers: serene location with breathtaking lake views. Tasty and fresh complimentary breakfast. Restrictions on third-party food delivery platforms. Live cultural performances and friendly staff. Well-maintained and clean property.

We were looking for a lake view Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace with a stunning roof top... we found the perfect Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace on the make my trip. we stayed in Standard non lake facing room including BF... got the best deal on MMT. The room was spacious and the bathroom was big enough. The staff was cooperative. The best thing about this Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace is the interiors. It has one of the most Instagrammable spots to click load of pics. The views from the rooftop were stunning. The BF spread was decent. I was expecting more at the price we were paying. The Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace is a 5 min walk from the City Palace. The car cannot go to the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace. We had to park our car in the Chand Pol Parking paying ₹200. At first the parking attendant refused to let us park saying car parking is full. But when we said that we have a booking with Jagat Nivas Palace then suddenly they moved some of their own cars and we got the parking space :-) So tell them that you have a room booking with them before parking. Hotel sent an Auto to the parking area for pick up and drop.

Jagat niwas is a quaint white property hidden in the by lanes of lal ghat udaipur. It’s a boutique Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace with lovely vibes, felt like i had been transported to a different era the moment i entered the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace. The decor, furniture and upholstery is on point, very indian, very chic and very royal! absolutely spic and span, very well maintained and high standards of hygiene followed. The staff was very courteous with excellent service. They are very accommodating and made sure to always exchange pleasantries with us. I was very well taken care off. The food too was lip smacking, just the right amount of spice and absolutely fresh. Though i still feel there is some scope for them to expand their menu. The views from their restaurant are mesmerising. The Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace is centrally located in the old city, everything is a walking distance, for example the city palace was barely a 5 minute walk. I loved every bit of staying here. And i know for sure that i am coming back because i couldn’t get enough of jagat niwas!

Pros - small yet elegant palace property facing lake pichhola. It is right on the banks of lake pichola and has a mind blowing view from all the windows. The 4 stars is for the staff and hospitality. The staff is really helpful especially mr. Ishwar at the front office. Book the jagat lake facing suite only. Pro tip - if you are crazy behind bathtub, put a special request of room numbers 202 or 201 and thank me later for the awesome views and a bathtub! even if it's an old palace property it is newly renovated and has all latest amenities. Cons - being an old 4 star palace property, one would expect a good breakfast buffet spread for the price we pay. But sadly, the spread is too less. Also reaching the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace is a bit of problem as the cabs don't go till the Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace. Either take an auto rickshaw from chandpole parking or jagdish temple parking till the property.

Property is beautiful, inst a worthy, hygienic. Food is average in taste and over priced but the view from the restaurant seating area is excellent. We have called and asked for early checkin and they said that they can try but can’t assure and we agreed to this and waited in lobby for hours. First they said that guests checkout time is 12pm and we will get the room around that time. Later when we asked around 11. 30 they said that can’t give us the room before 1. 30 so we were disappointed and just expected that they could have told this sooner. Overall stay was excellent and worth the price just be careful in case of early checkin. The best is to stick to checkin and checkout timings. We have booked lake side view room which was spacious, thoroughly cleaned and beautifully set.

Breakfast was included in my booking. Everyday we get different items in breakfast including continental, north india and south indian dishes, juices of two different types, fruits, tea, coffee etc. Taste is really very nice. A loo tikka is very yummy (must try.

Hospitality is at it’s best in this property. Food, ambience, stay - everything was excellent. A must stay if in udaipur.

The place is so good that it can compete with even 5 star properties around udaipur due to its location and service quality.

Place was good. Hygienic and we'll maintained. Food was average. Room was clean and neat. Restaurant has limited menu and was a bit costly. Overall it was a pleasant experience staying here. City palace was walkable distance from Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace. Lake view restaurant makes it even more beautiful. That's it.

We booked our stay at the recommendation of friends and a few reels seen on Instagram. Kudos to the design architect at Jagat Niwas, it has stunning interiors and beautiful lake-facing lounge setting. The vibe of the place in the evening is unmatched. The folk music added to the old-world charm and ethnic sensibility of the palace. Beautiful🥰 The only complain is the room size. Could have been bigger to add to the whole palace asthetic. But overall, the evening at Jagat Niwas made us forget everything and immerse in the magnificence of Udaipur. Thank you 🙏🏼

the location is fabulous. very well made interiors in common areas, a good feel of being in a heritage property.you get the best view. property is very well kept and hygiene too is maintained. hospitality could be much better considering the price per night... there was stinking smells outside the room at times. we could hear staff shouting at each other and kitchen supplies literally lined outside the room on the floor.

I had a wonderful experience at jagat niwas palace. 10/10 for ambience, food, Hotel Jagat Niwas Palace staff and cleanliness. If you are planning to visit udaipur, you should definitely stay at jagat niwas palace. If you are unable to book a room then do visit their restaurant for lunch or dinner.

One of the most amazing properties in Udaipur with mesmerising view. Rooms were super clean and location is also perfect. Highly Recommended 👍🏻
