Hotel Karohi Haveli

Our stay at karohi haveli was great. The best thing about this haveli is the character and charm. They have a nice green lawn with garden furniture to enjoy tea and snacks. The rooms exude authentic rajasthan royalty, the pool is nice and functional although given we visited in november, we really didn't take to it. The courtyard is really pretty with a big tree standing to the side and a nice (non functional when we visited) water fountain in the middle. Rooms are big and spacious. Ask for top story room facing the lake. The lake view is really pretty but may be not the best in udaipur. They have rooftop in-house restaurant but we never dined there. It looked nice and functional with some guests enjoying dinner every night, however it definitely lacks the occasion which you'd find in other rooftops around the old town which have better views. It's not cheap either. Room service is adequate, however not of the prompt variety. The plumbing and bath fittings can do with refurbishment. We had a problem on the first day wherein only hot water was coming in from all taps and it had to be looked into. They don't have a lift but work was ongoing on installation and probably would be in place before next season. The open lift shaft was not adequately covered and that to me was a huge risk with a kid in tow. I am removing one star due to this. This Hotel Karohi Haveli is right across the chand pole bridge in the old town. Bang opposite on the other side of pichola is gang-our ghat and the smallish museum where they have a rajasthan folk dance show every evening, however i am unsure if that only happens in the peak winter season, so please make your own enquiries. It's very nice though so a must visit. All nice eateries are within walking distance from the haveli. City palace is also walkable, however a tuktuk/autorickshaw is preferable. The owner was nice and helpful with directions as we were traveling in a car and finding it difficult to locate. Please keep in mind the roads are very narrow and in some places barely enough space to fit in a car. This haveli is on the other end of pichola so if you are coming in from gujarat side using the highway you'd have to negotiate tight turns and unruly city scooty traffic. There's enough parking space in the Hotel Karohi Haveli though, so that's good. Please close the windows when you venture out during your stay as there are langoors hanging around and may enter in your absence. Another plus is the in house kerala spa offered here. It's very value for money compared to some of the other spicy ones so a big thumbs up! all in all, highly recommended.

While booking Hotel Karohi Haveli room is shown different and allotted room is different. We discussed with Hotel Karohi Haveli reception and they said rooms are new so minor changes have been made. I would insist mm t to intervene and check physically before making such Hotel Karohi Havelis available for booking. No rugs outside bathroom for drying wet legs. No dental & vanity kits available. Only 2 nos. 1/2 ltr bottles per room per day are offered. Wifi doesn't connect or is slow. There are good things also like food, rooftop view, overall room ambience, outside Hotel Karohi Haveli ambience, service by staff, connectivity. Our review might seem rude or invalid but it is what it is.

Good stay with aesthetic vibes of the old udaipur city with all amenities needed for a modern traveller. The rooms are good but not very spacious. Staff is friendly, helpful and goes beyond call of duty to help guests. The view from rooftop restaurant is amazing as it overlooks lake pichola and city palace. Food is good but breakfast can be better (limited options. The approach road is very small and there can be traffic jam (so plan airport departure carefully. Overall a great place to stay if someone wants to enjoy heritage vibes and good views.

As the name says it gives you a vibe of old haveli. Rooms are clean. Service is good. Food is average. It’s expensive and quantity is very less. They are charging some 550 for buffet breakfast but options are very less. The haveli is in old city where cabs can’t go. You have to walk for some 300 m to reach the haveli from chand pole. But the surrounding atmosphere of old city around lake pichola is very vibrant. You’ll get many budget friendly and good options around the Hotel Karohi Haveli to eat.

karohi haveli is a fantastic place to stay in udaipur due to its vicinity to major monuments like city place , jagdish temple , gangour ghat etc . was really surprised to see a beautiful haveli in midst of a crowded area ….. the rooms are good and the food is excellent …. staff is very cooperative and supportive ….. overall we enjoyed the stay at Hotel Karohi Haveli … need to mention here that udaipur as a city is mesmerising and historic and should be in the list as must go

Excellent location. Good Hotel Karohi Haveli. Food choices limited eventhough restaurant is good. Electrical fittings in the Hotel Karohi Haveli,internet and TV connection in room needs updating and repair. InCentre of all happenings. Good people.

Beautiful Hotel Karohi Haveli and room. Had a peaceful stay. We booked this for two days and the overall room and services are nice. They also have a swimming pool but we haven't used it.

Staff is friendly and the view is absolutely amazing from the lake view room. The food is average and stay is very pleasant

Excellent staff and service. Location is good and Haveli has the aesthetics of a heritage place. Food quantity at the restaurant can be improved for the pricing. All day support available at the reception.

The room boasted a generous size with a delightful traditional aesthetic. As someone who appreciates north indian cuisine, i would recommend it to those seeking a more moderate and less spicy culinary experience.

Best stay with family, rooms are very clean and near to lake pichola. Room service is very good. Walkable to city palace, best place to stay where you can roam near pichola lake during evening as well. Overall best stay in budget.

The haveli gives very warm heritage vibes which i loved. Beautiful building with amazing view. I would prefer it over any 5 star Hotel Karohi Haveli.
