Hotel Malas

The rooms and washrooms are not up to the mark. Very heavy price for such old rooms. The room smells quite unpleasant. Can't survive in the room unless you sleep.

Access to the room assigned was difficult considering we had a disabled person with us. Wheelchair offered was not suitable (too low and narrow). This was the outcome despite calling in from Mumbai before we left. Later the manager Mr. Ali intervened and offered a better room that actually had a shallow ramp access and even made arrangements for breakfast to be sent to the room.

it's a ok ok experience...the hotel is very old one. ..but they are renovating....if we need to stay in good room. we should book for an AC ROOMS...otherwise the non AC rooms are not so clean.. breakfast is good...and staffs also ok....24 hours hotel water provided..

We booked standard room, windows are old and was not closing. Doors were jammed. There was perticular smell in room which has spoiled our stay. Location is excellent. Ambience is great. Staff was very kind. Cafeteria and food is very testy and must try.

Hotel Malas feels like a home away from home for us. It’s a lovely property surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere. We stayed in both the Premium and Duplex apartments. The Premium apartment could use a few upgrades — the bathroom drainage needs improvement as the bath water doesn’t get disposed of properly. The Alexa device wasn’t functioning well, and one of the rooms had slightly dim lighting. The Duplex apartment, on the other hand, was very comfortable and well-maintained. The food here is awesome — tasty, fresh, and of good quality. The hotel also offers indoor games, a swimming pool, and a beautiful garden, making it a great place to relax even if you don’t feel like stepping out. Staff are also kind and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely love to visit again!

Hotel Malas Review – Panchgani I recently spent a couple of days between Oct 25th 2025 and Oct 27th 2025 at Hotel Malas in Panchgani, and the experience was refreshing. The serene atmosphere and peaceful surroundings made for a relaxing stay. The food was consistently good, offering a satisfying variety of flavors. Room service met expectations, with prompt and courteous staff. What stood out was the effort being put into renovations and renewing older amenities. These upgrades are promising and suggest that Hotel Malas is on its way to becoming an even better destination in Panchgani. With its blend of comfort, good food, and ongoing improvements, it’s a place worth considering for a quiet getaway.

The place is great but the room is not up to the mark! Furniture in the room is not ergonomic also the room toilet was stinking all the time! The curtains were also smelly! The food & cafe is great! Children have a great time here; ample place to play! But for the price that they are charging I feel the room condition should be better! I have been coming here for the past 8-9 years once or twice every year and look forward for the comments to be taken in a positive sense!

Property location is excellent. It has their own restaurant from till 10pm and cafe run all time. The breakfast and dinner was excellent. The amenities are also in good condition. There is a renovation work going on. In my room there was a smell which I complained.

This hotel greatly exceeded my expectations.

Food is average...location is on a congested road and rooms were too cold ... Need room heaters during cold seasons.

This was my second visit to Hotel Malas. Stayed at the Premium rooms and it was good experience. The food was good, found it better compared to last time. However choices are limited but was enough for us. They have buffet but only available on weekends. The hotel is undergoing expansion and removation, so there was a bit of construction smell around our room, however they said expansion will be done in 2-3 months. Overall this place is good for a couple days of short stay

Very bad room condition. They showed good pictures and details but in reality people may fall sick. Entire room is stinking, mattress is 50 years old, I got back and neck pain in the morning. Paint and curtains and everything is shady, my children got allergy due to the dampness, no ventilation at all. They shouldn’t make such bookings available at all, my booking was non refundable and had to check in at 10 pm in the night, they didn’t provide any alternative. Very disappointing with family, not recommended

Property’s location was awesome in the clouds and always raining.. Food was jst excellent with new varieties everyday. Hospitality of restaurant and room staff was also good.

The rooms were very old , feeing like hospital rooms . There was one one access door in shared wall and due to this a lot of noise was coming from another room . This was very disturbing the customer’s privacy with this common door between rooms .

It was amazing stay in Malas. You will get all room amenities. If you are going with car then best place to stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Malas , and it was truly a wonderful experience. The hotel's architecture is stunning.Amazing place, amazing interior and service,The staff was courteous, professional, and always ready to help. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and warm hospitality. Dining at their in-house restaurants was a delight. There's a great variety of cuisines, and the food quality is top-notch. The breakfast buffet was especially impressive, with a wide selection of dishes to suit all tastes.

It was refreshing to visit Mala's once again. Excellent service. Good location nice weather during stay. Rooms with balcony are the real pleasure. Thanks Mala's
