Hotel Mayur

I think. They've stuck in time in the era of 80s. The Hotel Mayur has just basic facilities. Dental kit was not offered. Even after asking. Expression of vanity is forbidden in a world where hospitality I all about customer experience. When asked to render their help for making infant's food after 10 night. To which they denied initially. With a statement "madam, ye Shimla hai. Yahan Aise hi Hota hai. Aapko 10 baje se pehle socha chahiye tha" How can I ask this to my year old child? Cleanliness is a serious issue, especially in the lobbies. Room stinks with a foul smell. Hotel has never been renovated after 80s. You can easily sense with the quality of toiletries. Last it was our mistake to take a room on the ridge. You should never do that. If you are carrying your own vehicle. As over the cart road just a km below mall you can find ample Hotel Mayurs offering parking. The parking cost is extravagant. Last but not the least. I Am coming to Shimla since I was 2 years old. My nana Nani used to live there. Sadly they are no more. This was my 10th time. The 9th was 10 years ago. The administration have completely destroyed and fabricated the valley. In the name of earning govt. money there tourism. Mountains are scraped more and more for widening the road. In the city lush greenery is no more. I loved Shimla in my childhood. Now it is only pity I feel. A lot is more to be said but a serious recommendation to choose Uttrakhand over Himachal.

Room is nice but little bit congested because of unnecessary furniture, christ church is just 20 mtr away, Hotel Mayur Mayur is on mall Road as described by the Hotel. Please cross check the description of other Hotel Mayurs, some Hotel Mayurs mention that there Hotel Mayurs is on mall Road but in actual there is far away from mall Road. Jakhu temple is 1. 5 km from Hotel Mayur and you can easily take the taxi from the Hotel which will Rs. 100 per person for both Side to Jakhu temple. Food of the Hotel is nice but little bit overrated.

Location is one of the best thing about this Hotel Mayur. We opted for super deluxe room and the view of Shimla, sunset and snow mountains is one if the best you can get in Shimla. If you are with family and luggage then do hire porter at 100-150 as road from lift to Hotel Mayur is ascending and even for fit person it will be challenging and it is vehicle free zone. Food is good and with view.

I booked three rooms. Out of which one had good view and was spacious. The other two were just about okay. There are stairs leading to the Hotel, so if you are traveling with aged/physically challenged member, be aware. Food was very high priced. Location is very good just behind christ church. Overall I would say it's a decent choice at this price.

Well I came to Mayur as a child with my parents and now I came with my family and mother to create some more beautiful memories. The Hotel still looks elegant coupled with a fabulous location. Can better on cleanliness a little more and pricing of food is a little on the higher Side. Overall great experience. Will come back again to Mayur.

The Hotel Mayur is at a very good location just behind the Christ church and Mall Road. We were 5 friends and stayed in two rooms. The rooms were good, cleaned and spacious. Room service was also good. In the end I would say that I had a quality time their and the behavior of the staff was also very pleasing.

Our stay was good. Hotel is just behind the church and convenient to go ridge and Mall road. But reaching the Hotel Mayur is hell from railway Station. Staff is good and but the food is average. I will rate 4 out of 5 just because of location and behaviour.

It was pleasant stay and the Hotel is at very nice location just behind mall Road church. You just need to carry your luggage to the Hotel since the vehicles are stopped around 1 KM from mall Road. And you will have to rake help of coolie.

I often stay in this Hotel Mayur whenever I am in Shimla. The only best part of the Hotel Mayur is the closeness to the church and the mall, comfortable beds and small but clean rooms, toilets are little small but good for one night.

Excellent stay as this Hotel Mayur is located at the heart of the city. Moreover it has access to every important place of Shimla.

Super deluxe room was good but deluxe room was average. Could be improved further.

Good food clean room most importantly very near to ridge so many eating options from shop near by

The location of the Hotel Mayurs is just wow and the staff is friendly but the crown jewel of the Hotel Mayur is the bird eye view and the beautiful Christ Church.

Good food. Good staff. Good service. 2 minutes away from ridge. Value for money.

Stay was enjoyable. Hotel facilities were excellent.

Everything is good only it's difficult to climb the stairs especially for oldies. As I visited with my mother so she had to climb a few stairs (knee issue). Rest is good.

Food was good. Staff is always helpful to you
