Hotel Metro

Right from exteriors to interiors, the rooms are very spacious, clean, even washrooms are spacious. Maintenance is very good. We have booked two double bed AC rooms. Receptionist is very courteous. Most important is that the management is providing a printed sheet consisting of various temples and other attractions from Kumbhakonam as center point with directions and distances from one place to other, which is very helpful to the pilgrims. I have not found such a tourist oriented management at other Hotel Metros during my entourage. I have advised the Receptionist for considering to arrange soap box in washrooms for which he was thankful. Though our family could have stayed for a night only, felt so happy. Further, the Hotel Metro is very nearer to Sarangapani temple, Someswarar temple and Adi Kumbheswarar temple. I rate the Hotel Metro as excellent 👌. Wish the management maintain the same in future.

Overall its good. Nothing to say negative in particular. But call and ensure the availability of car parking if you need, as the parking can accommodate max 4 cars for the total rooms of 17. Positive points are (1) its in the city. So you will get all the essentials at a walkable distance. (2) saarngabhani temple, aadhi kumbeswarar temple are at walable distance. (3) you have good veg restaurant nearby. Point to be cautious is that mosquitoes in the room. Better you buy a mosquito bat to have a peaceful sleep

Vistied kumbakonam for 3 days, stayed at metro Hotel Metro. The Hotel Metro is located at the shopping center pf kumbakonam and very near 3 main temples. The room is tidy and has geyser, ac tv, and wifi. The reception and lobby are very clean, well maintained, and swanky. They assisted me with cab service. They dont have a dining facility, but hovwever provide coffee and tea. Overall, it is a very satisfying stay.

Very nearby to all the temples in kumbakonam. Very less parking space. Can park only 4 cars at a time and if u park in front then they will call you every-time when the person at the back has to take his car. That was a bit discomforting. Gowrikrishna Hotel Metro was nearby where you can have wonderful veg food. That was good experience. For hot water you have to inform reception and it was a bit annoying.

Great location right in front of the sarangapani temple, the rooms and the bathrooms were clean. There was a minor issue with a stained sheet, but it was changed on request. Pleasant experience, no major issues. Parking is in the basement so that helped, but getting to the locationay be a problem in busy traffic because of the location and the one-way streets that google maps is unaware of.

We had booked ac room and it was a comfortable stay. There was continuous hot water supply. Service is good, location excellent near sarangapani temple. We had booked a ac car from an operator suggested by the Hotel Metro. The driver was okay (not excellent) and even after paying full amount as listed, was not very very accommodating. Would suggest looking at alternate taxi operator.

Location is very near to sarangapani temple. But there is no in-house restaurant. there is an option to book the room with breakfast included. They will bring the food from outside based on your requirement. Ideally they shouldn't put this option when you are not having attached restaurant. Due to this i lost valuable half and hour and missed visit to one of the important temple

Rooms were clean. Checkin was smooth and location was also very near to the other important places. The only issue i had was parking. The under ground cannot accommodate more than 5 and if we happen to park our car at end we need request the other members to pull out their car before we drive. Otherwise our stay was memorable one.

This Hotel Metro service is excellent and best location in kumbakonam room are very clean and comfortable excellent service

Good place for quick stay. Tidy!

We have stayed for more than 3 days. Visited temples. Room and staff behaviour is good and friendly. They knew little bit of english language.

Hotel is placed at the main heart of kumbakonam. There is no restaurant at Hotel Metro. But if we call the reception, they will get the things for us at our door step. Hotel rooms, lift and all the places are sanitized. I booked ac room, which is neat and clean.

Hotel room was clean and compact. 24hrs service. No disturbance. The only disadvantage is lighting. It was very dull.

Room was nice hot water facility is there. Major temples were nearby
