Hotel Monal

The property is located very near to Gandhi chowk and on the mall road. With respect to number of stairs one needs to climb, it's almost imperative for every Hotel Monal barring few, good thing is one needs to climb stairs at the time of getting out from Hotel Monal (rather than climbing at the time of getting-in to the Hotel Monal). Hotel rooms are on surfacing side, reducing the chill effect (specially for those travelling during winters) obviating the need for room heaters. Food was awesome (we tried 3-4 places but the Hotel Monal food was best amongst them). Great part of the food is that every time you place an order, they prepare fresh as they don't have a restaurant. Service was also great. In a nutshell, we would definitely recommend this Hotel Monal.

Among all the hill stations I had been to this has to be the best. It is quiet and cute far away from the chaos of the day to day world. Enjoy the calmness of the surrounding, lush greenery and the awesome street food especially the gulab jamun served hot. Don't miss the Kulhad wali chai at Gandhi Chowk. Take a deluxe room and enjoy the scenic beauty of the mountains. Wake up to the morning gleam of sunshine and the excellent tea served by the Hotel Monal. I had a three-night stay and I enjoyed every bit of it.

It's near to gandhi chowk at garam sadak, the rooms were good, they have in-house cafeteria/restaurant, which is perfect in every way - cost wise, taste wise, it's better than outside restaurants. The view from Hotel Monal is just wow, it's 6/5 just amazing. The only bad thing is you have to get down to 45 something stairs to reach Hotel Monal which can hurt you someway but it's normal for most of the Hotel Monals there so no need to worry. It's worth the money go for it!

Hotel is little old building but rooms are renovated and small in size and the view from Hotel Monal is spectacular. Hotel is on Mall Road and it’s little hard for four wheeler to reach here one way kind of road. Very close to Gandhi chowk so you can walk to Mall Road in few minutes. Staff is good and helpful. And you have to take stair down to reach Hotel Monal little hectic to carry luggage so call in advance for help. Decent Hotel Monal with great view 👍

I had a really nice stay there. All the rooms have a brilliant view of the mountains, they are not too big yet not too small. I found my room to be cute and cozy. Had no problem with the basic amenities. The staff there was also helpful and kind.

Location was just walking distance from main market i. E. Gandhi chowk. Food was good and staff was very prompt for service. My room in 2nd floor has balcony with excellent mountain view. Hotel is at 25-30 steps down stairs but staff was helpful to carry your luggage up and down. With the help of Hotel Monal we have come in contact with mr. Trilok, cab driver who was with us for whole trip and also to macleodganj. Overall nice trip with family.

We had planned the family trip for Dalhousie and were not sure what Hotel to choose. Make my trip provided us the best value for money options. We choose Hotel Monal for our two days stay at Dalhousie. We have a great experience staying in this Hotel, location is superb it gives you unrestricted view of Valley. Only cons for this Hotel is that no parking facility, and good thing is that they also mention in their web site about this.

Went there for two days. Extended the stay to 4 days. The Hotel Monal gives you everything that you want from a holiday place. It's being run by a group of super individuals. They never said "no" to any of our requests. Late night tea. To oddly hours of meal. Late check-out. They got a local taxi. At a lower price than the union there. The uncle who took us around the station is very kind. No complaints. Absolute delight. Thanks

Great view, excellent service, cooperative and humble staff, value for money, very close to mall road, walking distance to mall road, room quality is good, both cold and hot water is available ., After checkout also staff gave you room for freshen up and kept luggage for a day out.

Fabulous location, outside super scenic view, we felt so much peace there. Food quality was also very good. Hotel staff and management people were also very helpful.

Hotel view is amazing and staff was really good and they are always ready to help for anything. The price is reasonable and it is close to market so you can go on walking distance to having snacks or dinner.

Property is located near mall road. Balcony of property provides beautiful view of nature, mountains and whole dalhousie. Staff is very caring and cooperative. Food provided in Hotel Monal is hygienic and at reasonable price. Overall my stay here was satisfactory.

Management was good staff members are good, all the food item was not available fan was not available parking was the main issue but overall feels gud location was excellent

The room was good with facilities but not having minibar or electric kettle like facility in super deluxe room. The Hotel Monal is at good location about Natural beauty and give good service. Food was yummy, not so much spicy I. E. Tasty, but the menu was same on everyday. I think he can decide the different menu for different days.
