Hotel New Sonar Bangla

The Hotel New Sonar Bangla is situated perhaps in the best location in Rishyap, with a grand view of almost all peaks. You can have a view of great Kanchenjunga from your room sitting on the bed itself. The food of the Hotel New Sonar Bangla is OK, services are fine. No geyser but clean toilet. Best thing is the front open space to have a cup of coffee with your friends or beloved and /or watch your kids play. We have stayed for one night, I will suggest to stay for two nights one day for enjoy the location of the Hotel New Sonar Bangla itself and another one for visiting the other spots of Ryshop. Can book car for almost any place of the hills or Duars from the Hotel New Sonar Bangla. No shops nearby.

The view was great with full Kanchanjungha range visible. Room was big. But lacking cleanliness. There were all kinds of dirt and wrappers behind bed. Bathroom was not well maintained. No geyser, and hot water available only in the morning. There was no phone for reception. The get up of the Hotel New Sonar Bangla was not that attractive. People are friendly but there is a syndicate in lava, kolakham and rishop who won't allow vehicle from outside. One has to take their vehicle only.

The best place to stay in rishop .. With the pictureseque view of kanchenzungha ... The best part of the Hotel New Sonar Bangla is that they arrange chicken barbq in the evening .. There is a trek place for adventure lovers 2kms from the Hotel New Sonar Bangla which the Hotel New Sonar Bangla boys can arrange as per the orders ... So if I have to go to rishop again in future sonar bangla will be the place where I would like to stay again.

The best location at Rishyap. View of snow peaks from room. The Manager and staff are very helpful and nice people. However the owner seems to have put zero investment to maintain and upgrade the property. No heater or geysers, cracks in doors are patched with cello tapes- given the price and quality of rooms, not a value for money.

Excellent, due to extraordinary lucid and prompt behaviour of cook and staffs. Inspite of owner's indifference.
Should be the best one if can be a bit professionally maintained. Staffs and cook are extraordinary. Just to improve electrical fittings and water geyser fitted with improvement in maintenance.

Best view rooms are on the first floor. Enjoyed the stay thoroughly as we trekked around and evenings were TV time. The Hotel New Sonar Bangla staff and manager was very helpful and in the afternoon, we had food at the open space under the sun while watching scenic beauty of the kanchanjungha range.

Very homely, nice service, ambience was great and view was excellent. Food quality was moderate. There was problem with airtel and Vodafone tower most of the times and Internet was hardly available..

First of all this Hotel New Sonar Bangla is in the prime location of Rishop. Staff are good in behavior. Rooms are spacious and proper maintain. Only problem there is shortage of water. If require they can arrange campfire.

Staffs were very good and well behaved. It was a pleasant stay. As it is very remote place don't expect too much luxurious.

The location is the best in Rishop. The view from the room is mesmerizing. Staff are very nice. Even the rejection on some food items sounded so nice as they were telling it most politely and nicely.

Location as already said is awesome and food is on average but service is good.
The view from the room is awesome but the doors are all broken. There should be proper renovations required so that cold air can't come inside the room. They don't have geyser also.

Room was spacious and mountain view from all rooms ... Bathroom with hot water running facilities. Kichen just behind the Hotel New Sonar Bangla you can call up the staff very easily and order your foods. High alttitudes surrounded with pine trees ...

Only negative is that the time of rain the drop of water passing inside the room. Otherwise the Hotel New Sonar Bangla, service, food is very good. The location is very excellent and food quality is very good. Also it needs to be more precise about power and warm water supply.

Nice location. Good view of kanchanjangha.. Food is costly but quality and quantity is sufficient.. Use mineral water to drink all rooms are Kanchenjunga facing. Try to get 1st floor room I love to stay over here. Well located. I'll recommend it to all. Hotel people is so nice and very helpful.

Good hospitality and accommodation. Great ambiance. Location is very peaceful. Hotel staff behaviour was good. Food was awesome and tasty. Little issues with hygiene. Overall good place to stay.
